439: Chapter 439: First Place in Points!

Watching this scene on the ranking board...

More and more people began to feel that something was wrong, their faces filled with astonishment.

Isn't the speed at which Li Fan's points are rising a bit too fast?

At this rate, Li Fan's points would soon surpass Han Luo in second place and close in on Di Chuan in first!

He might even overtake Di Chuan!

Because even for someone as formidable and valiant as Di Chuan, the growth rate of his points didn't seem as exaggerated as Li Fan's.

"What's going on with this Li Fan? These points...!"

"Wait, what's the situation? Is there a problem with the points ranking board? How can Li Fan's points be rising so quickly?"

"*Hiss!* What on earth is Li Fan doing? Is he cheating?!"

Sounds of surprise and wonder gradually rose from all corners of the venue.

Immediately after, many people began searching for Li Fan's screen once again.

Before long...

Li Fan's footage appeared before everyone's eyes.

In the footage, Li Fan was still riding his Flying Shuttle, weaving through an extremely dense herd of beasts. Upon closer inspection, these beasts were generally at the Eighth stage of the Universe Level, with many even reaching the Ninth Stage of the Cosmic Level!

But despite being this strong, they still seemed unable to resist Li Fan's mental attacks.

Wherever Li Fan passed, the ferocious beasts died in droves, like a plague of locusts leaving nothing behind.

Such a terrifying scene was clearly more horrifying and shocking than the grand, sweeping harvesting style of the likes of Di Chuan!

"Is this... a Divine Illusionist?!"

"Li Fan is actually a Divine Illusionist?!"

"A Divine Illusionist?! That class is quite rare!"

"Wait, am I seeing this right? Is this really the same Li Fan who was just hiding on a turtle's back making barbecue and slacking off?"

"*Hiss!* Who said Li Fan had no strength? This looks a bit powerful!"

"More than just a bit powerful? This Li Fan is practically overpowered! Many Contestants struggle to fight those Ninth Stage of the Cosmic Level beasts one-on-one, yet here with Li Fan, they perish in the blink of an eye without even a chance to struggle!"

"Ridiculous! A guy from the Outer Seat Domain! How can he be so strong?!"

"No way, man, he's actually got the skills?"

"The reason he acted like that before was clearly because he had enough confidence in himself!"

"Indeed, with his Divine Illusionist class, gaining points is simply too easy! How long has it been? He just overtook everyone on the curve and broke into the top three!"

"Looking at it this way, the news that Li Fan was first in the Sequence Assessment over at the Cosmic Cloud side might actually be true!"

"Wait, he won't actually be able to crush everyone from the Spirit Ruins later, will he? If that's really the case, it would be so exciting!"

"Whether he can crush them face-to-face is hard to say, but in terms of points alone, there's a real suspense now. His Divine Illusionist class is simply too broken!"

...

At this moment...

Exclamations of surprise echoed throughout the entire venue.

The people in the stands couldn't help but widen their eyes, their mouths agape in shock. Their faces were filled with astonishment, and some even felt their scalps go numb!

There was no helping it.

The contrast between the current Li Fan, who was on a killing spree, and the previous Li Fan, who was slacking off on a turtle shell, was simply too strong!

He was insta-killing Eighth stage of the Universe Level and Ninth Stage of the Cosmic Level beasts in droves. Who could possibly withstand that?!

And clearly, they had also realized that Li Fan was a Divine Illusionist, and a remarkably powerful one at that.

For a time...

They truly had a new understanding of Li Fan's strength.

It turns out he wasn't being cowardly or slacking off before; he was just giving everyone a one-day head start!

The previous rumors that Li Fan was first in the Sequence Assessment on the Cosmic Cloud side...

...were now starting to be believed by quite a few people.

"What? Silent now? Is there something wrong with your eyes? Can't you see the points ranking?"

On the spaceship outside the hunting grounds, Tai Fang was currently in high spirits. He looked directly at the instructors from the Spirit Ruins, his voice full of vigor.

Meanwhile, the instructors from the Spirit Ruins were all somewhat dazed as they watched the footage of Li Fan's battle and his frantically soaring points.

"To think he's actually a Divine Illusionist!"

The leader of the Spirit Ruins team narrowed his eyes as he looked at Li Fan, his brow beginning to furrow.

They actually knew that Li Fan had strength, but their information wasn't complete; they didn't know he was a Divine Illusionist!

If he's a Divine Illusionist, the final outcome of the points battle between the two sides is truly hard to say now!

With a sufficiently powerful Divine Illusionist, the speed at which they harvest points is something almost no one can catch up to.

Even for Di Chuan, it was almost impossible.

If Li Fan were allowed to continue like this, his individual points total might be enough to match dozens or even a hundred of their people combined!

"What are you so smug about? Li Fan isn't the one in first place yet!"

Although they already felt that things were looking bad, they couldn't afford to back down in a war of words.

Seeing the stubbornness of the Spirit Ruins group, Tai Fang and the others burst into laughter, feeling thoroughly vindicated.

While Li Fan wasn't first in points yet, wasn't it only a matter of time?!

...

Turning the gaze back to the venue...

With the display of Li Fan's strength, the focus of the people in the venue was no longer almost entirely on Di Chuan; more than half had begun to pay attention to Li Fan.

The footage of the two of them practically split ninety percent of the public's attention.

And soon...

...as time passed...

...Li Fan's points, without any surprise...

...went straight to the number one position. Moreover, the speed of his points surge showed no signs of slowing down, already creating a massive gap.

Meanwhile, Di Chuan was seemingly unaware of this. He had actually slowed down his hunting speed and was leisurely chasing down the prodigies from the Cosmic Cloud side.

Yes, leisurely.

Di Chuan didn't go for the instant kill upon meeting them as he had before. Instead, as if he were playing with crickets, he appreciated their panicked expressions as they fled, completely playing with or teasing them.

This scene couldn't help but make many people who favored Di Chuan feel anxious.

Li Fan's points are already crushing yours, and you're still playing around?!

But no matter how anxious they were, it was useless. After all, Di Chuan didn't have their god-like perspective and couldn't see his own points situation for the time being.

But then again...

...less than three days had passed in the entire competition schedule.

There was still plenty of time, so there was no need to worry.

With so much time left, there was no telling what might happen later.

Shifting the focus to the hunting grounds, not far from Li Fan...

...a five-man squad from the Spirit Ruins Project was currently rushing at high speed toward Li Fan's location.

Looking closely...

...all five of them were quite strong, their auras all at Universe Level Three!

If one were to look for them on the ranking board, they were all within the top fifty!
