Chapter 104: Dancing Devil
Ryzen stood still, eyes narrowing as holographic display flickered to life. The man on the screen wore silent smile, General Albert."I’ve been searching for someone like you."Ryzen crossed his arms, "Someone like me?" he echoed, cold. "Since when do a Rangers need someone like me?"
Albert’s voice remained calm, "We all have our motives, Ryzen. Just as you have yours. I’m merely suggesting... cooperation. We can help each other."
That made Ryzen laugh. "And what makes you think I’d ever work with you? With your kind? What the hell do you know about my goals?"
Albert paused, eyes gleaming with patience. "Since your selection, you’ve eliminated over fifty Meta-bot users. Rangers and Rogues. Doesn’t matter to you. That tells me one thing..."He raised a brow. "You’re not on any side. You’re just mad man"
Ryzen’s smile faded. His silence was enough confirmation.
Albert continued, sharp and unforgiving. "But here’s what I don’t understand—what exactly are you planning by making everyone your enemy? what are you trying to achive?"
"What do you think old man?" Ryzen said slowly.
"If attention is what you seek, then you have mine, but I doubt that’s the case." Albert stood from his chair, looking over his glass wall and down to the city.
For a moment, the room felt colder while Ryzen oly smiled at the old man.
Albert leaned back, intrigued. "tell me, Ryzen... is this related to your father’s death?"
Ryzens fist tighned.
"I suppose I hit a nerve," Albert turned back, "but it still doesn’t make sense. If you were only targeting the Rangers for revenge, I would have understood your perspective, but..."
"Revenge?" Ryzen smirked, running a hand through his messy hair "No... It’s not revenge. It’s cleansing. It’s erasing."
He glanced over his shoulder, eyes glowing faintly in the dim light. "No gods. No soldiers. No factions. No heroes. No villains. No struggle. No hope..." His voice lowered to a near whisper."I want complete silence."
Albert’s smirk faltered. What the hell was that? Silence? Not power. Not domination. Not even peace. Silence.
He’d met warlords, psychopaths But none of them wanted silence. Yet... Ryzen’s actions aligned disturbingly well with his words. He had killed Rangers. He had killed Rogues. He’d erased protectors and destroyers alike—as if he didn’t see a difference. And if he kept rising at this pace, soon—there’d be no stopping him.
Albert forced a smile. "Then maybe..." he said, testing the waters, "I can help you with that."
Ryzen raised a brow, amused. "Really?" he scoffed. "The General of one of the biggest city offering to help me murder Meta-bot users?"
He shook his head. "I don’t need help. And soon I will kill you too General."
Albert didn’t flinch. "Maybe," he said, tone steady. "But only after you can survived those new Rising beasts"
At that moment, Ryzen’s chest piece blinked in violet light as if listening.
"Right," it spoke in a electronic voice. "We’re not alone, Ry."
Albert’s eyes widened. Speechless. A Meta-bot... talking?
His own Meta-bot had never even twitched on its own. It was nothing but a tool But this? This wasn’t technology. This was something else. Something alive.
"Is that... a Prime?" he whispered.
Staring at the flickering violet glow of the tattoo-like device across Ryzen’s chest, Albert felt the kind of fear only men like him understood.
The kind that told him: Something far dengerous has finaly awaken in the midst of humanity.
"We are still unsure Where Black is" The Meta-bot said, "We have to be careful of him"
Ryzen paused, eyes narrowing. "I’m not afraid of him," he growled. "Let him come. He’ll find death waiting."
"Don’t be naive, Ry," the Meta-bot warned. "You’re not ready to face another Prime. Not yet."
"Another Prime?" Albert cut in instantly, eyes gleaming. "I know him. He’s in my city."
The Meta-bot went deathly still.
A slow, dangerous smile crept across Ryzen’s face. "Is that so?" he whispered. "Then tell me where. I’m coming to kill him."
"Ry," the Meta-bot’s voice deepened "If you’re so eager to die, go ahead. But don’t say I didn’t warn you."
"Die?" Ryzen scoffed, "I want to kill Purple. I want to grow stronger. What’s better way than by killing the strongest?"
Albert nodded slowly, lips curling in approval. "That’s right. It’s the fastest way to rise... but he’s no ordinary opponent. He’s already reached General rank."
Ryzen’s smirk flickered, "So what? Rank means nothing to the dead."
"It should mean something to you," Albert said coldly. "Look, I understand your urge to kill. In fact—our goals might align more than you think. Help me eliminate the threats...Ryuk, Mark... Tyson."
The name Tyson hung in the air like the scent of blood.
Albert continued, "I’m already old bones. Sooner or later, age will claim me. But they? They are the future. If you allow them to rise, they’ll become a problem for you."
Ryzen rubbed his face hard, running his fingers through his hair in thought. It was a good deal. He had never trained in any elite facility—everything he learned came from killing other Meta-bot wearers. But now, fewer and fewer remained who could push him to grow so he will have to accept this proposal.
"What’s there to think about?" Albert asked, a hint of desperation in his voice. "This is the best chance you’ll ever get. I’ll give you everything—intel, locations, movement patterns."
Ryzen sighed. "Fine. Tell me where I can find them... the so-called geniuses of this world."
Albert’s expression darkened with rage. "Yes. But first—you have to kill him."
The reason His dear son was in bad condition. Tyson Rogers, his enemy. He have to die, He will die. this way or that way.
"Him?" Ryzen tilted his head. "Who?"
"Tyson," Albert spat the name. "The White Ranger."
Ryzen blinked, then smirked. "Ah. Tyson. I’ve seen him fight. The way he struggled. The way he inspired others. So much for an icon of hope."
Of course, Ryzen has seen the fight of that so-called White Ranger who was fighting off opponents stronger than himself.
On that day he has seen the newfound hope in citizens even from his city. They were celebrating the victory as if humanity will survive, as if despite the odds they will make it out, which greatly displeased Ryzen.
"Exactly," Albert said sharply. "Kill him first. Rip their hope away."
Ryzen whispered the name, tasting it. "Tyson...huh."
Albert leaned forward, voice rising. "I’ll arrange everything you need. Just promise me one thing—kill him in the most painful way possible. I want to know that you will."
Albert grinned. Finally, he got someone like Ryzen on his side. Despite his troublesome goals and behavior, he knew he would succeed after all. He was prime. The one who is destined to surpass all the Meta-Bot wearers, and maybe in the future, with his help, he can eliminate Ryuk too.
Ryzen said nothing. He simply pressed the AI’s button, ending the call.
The Meta-bot blinked slowly beside him. "Truly... You humans are beyond repair."
Ryzen chuckled, his voice low. "That’s why I want to erase them. Erase us from this universe."
"You think your father will feel at ease after all this?" the Meta-bot asked quietly.
Ryzen stared ahead, voice hollow. "I don’t know... but he’ll know what he did was wrong. If the suffering was too much... if the fight he fought was unbearable... then escaping alone was unfair as well. He was afraid for his own sake"
He continiue. "He should’ve done something for everyone, He should’ve ended everyone’s suffering—not just his own. That was selfish."
The Meta-bot blinked, "That’s... a strange anaylogy of humans But anyway remember first—gather your strength. You’re not ready to face the Black Prime. He’s not someone you can just wipe out on a whim."
"You know me, purple, I do what i feel" Ryzen said, stepping toward the edge of the darkened room. "But since you want me to be careful I will follow your advice for now and anyway... it is time to settle score with Liveria"
"huh? Livai is no pushover either but you are not going to listen" Meta bot chimed. "I will take a nap, do whatever you want"
Ryzen smiled coldly. "Did he really think he could sell me out and I’d stay quiet? Just like last time... when he told the whole world I died with my father and mother. So he could take control of the situation—of the city—just as he pleased."
The Meta-bot blinked lazily. "Since when did you care about fighting for the throne?" It hummed. "Ah, right... it’s my nap time i forgot...im out"
"Go to sleep," Ryzen muttered, cracking his knuckles. "Let me handle it my way. And no—it’s not about the throne. It’s about the satisfaction I’ll feel when I kill him."
A sinister laugh echoed through the apartment room, distorting the silence like a ripple in night. Then came the music—haunting, rhythmic, as if the night itself had begun to hum along with him.
Only Ryzen could hear it. Only he could dance along side on the beat he percives that was why many called him...
The Dancing Devil.
