Chapter 91: Plan to kidnap
"I know you all are short-handed, and I don’t want anyone risking their lives for this task," Justin declared, standing atop the barrel where Drew had previously sat, as if he had just claimed authority over the room.A few rogues bristled at his audacity, but Drew raised a hand, signaling them to back down. After all, this was their employer—the reckless rich kid spending absurd amounts of money simply to kidnap his high school crush.Drew had been wary when the job initially came his way, originating from unknown sources. A mysterious request was never a good sign in their line of work. However, once he learned the details, his nerves settled.
The task was straightforward: gather intelligence on a specific girl—her school, her routine, and the precise times she traveled.
Next, all they needed to do was assist Justin’s people in capturing her and smuggling her beyond the city walls.
No assassinations. No bloody mess. Just a lucrative babysitting job.
Easy money, Drew thought. And if the guy is foolish enough to waste his cash over a crush, who am I to stop him?
Derius exhaled as the guy began laying out the details with a smile. This job was easy: You simply need to assist in abducting the girl and then guide them to the city walls. The time required for it was probably half an hour, no more than that, and he would offer them at least 10k grand each.
"Don’t worry, if everything goes well, nobody will know," Justin smiled. "And you will get rich, and who knows, I may throw a few more bucks if you satisfy me with your service."
"Got it," Drew said. "My people will gather information about her and let you know. Until then, hang tight."
Justine nodded as his guards accompanied him closely.

Nancy shut her notebook with a satisfied sigh as the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. Another long day of classes was over; now she can meet with him tonight, as he promised. Monday!
Emily hovered with a hopeful look. "Can you help me with my homework tonight? Seriously, it’s a drag for me."
Nancy chuckled, "It is, but I have to meet up with him tonight, so you are on your own."
Emily rolled her eyes. "Yeah, of course, your boyfriend is more important than your best friend."
"Don’t be like that. We barely have time to meet," Nancy gave her apologetic smile as they got ready to leave. "And you know how forgetful your friend is, don’t you?"
Emily laughed. "Yeah, you are right. Just say hi to him for me and tell him I will beat him to a pulp when we meet next time. He barely messages me these days."
"I will," Nancy gave a soft smile as Emily waved her hand, leaving Nancy on the schoolground.
Nancy pulled out her phone. Her smile deepened when she saw the flood of unread messages from Tyson.
So now he knows how it feels to be ignored, she thought smugly, resisting the urge to reply. Let him wonder for a little longer, let him feel that she is mad at him for a while.
Thankfully, Alex gave her the perfect chance to argue with Tyson. She knew it was a prank, yet she decided to play along; it was fun to see him trying to convince her that she was the only one he loved, him saying he loves her and only her.
As she looked up, the orange shade of the sky was breathtaking. After three days, she would meet him. Just as she walked out of the gate, a strange chill ran down her spine, as if someone were watching her. It made her feel a little uneasy.
She began walking, holding her phone tightly in her hand, dismissing her uneasy feeling as a simpl anxiety.
Justin watched from the shadows of the buildings, his eyes hungrily tracing her every movement as if he wanted to mesmerize it. The way her long and fair legs carried her, the elegant sway of her hips, and the way her dark hair floated, everything about her. He watched her all with a twisted smile on his lips.
"There she is... my wife," he whispered with possession.
The two men standing beside him shuddered. A chill ran down their spines at how he spoke and the unsettling delight in his eyes.
These two were rogues from Babylon, handpicked and entrusted with this mission by Albert himself. Their orders were clear- protect Justin at all costs, even if it meant dying in the process. Albert had threatened their families with death if they failed, and if they succeeded, their reward would be beyond their wildest dreams. That was why they were here.
Unlike Justin, who could move freely within Elria as a civilian, sneaking in had been far more difficult for them as Meta-bot owners. The city gates were out of the question, heavily guarded and monitored. But there were always other ways—dark, filthy, and dangerous ways. The sewers had provided their passage, a fitting entrance for men tasked with such sinister deeds, which Rogues often use in unconventional means.
Justin ran his hand through his neatly combed hair, his eyes never leaving Nancy as she walked further down the street, oblivious to the trap.
"Don’t look at her," he said, his voice sharp as a knife. "Or I’ll gouge your eyes out."
The two rogues stiffened. They instantly dropped their gazes to the ground. "We didn’t see anything, sir," one stammered.
"Good," Justin mused, tilting his head. "I like dogs like you—obedient, loyal, and eager to please."
He said again, "Are our arrangements ready?"
"Yes, sir," one of them answered. "We’ve secured a lorry truck and modified the interior to resemble a living space. She won’t feel any discomfort while being transported."
"The back section has a separate space where our men will stay on watch," the other rogue added. "To ensure that nothing goes wrong, we have arranged for three vehicles to follow the lorry at all times, prepared to act if anything occurs."
Justin nodded thoughtfully; everything was aligning perfectly. Soon, she would belong to him entirely, but then his face darkened. He clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms.
"What about that guy? Tyson, right?" Justin’s voice was cold. "Have you found anything about his whereabouts?"
One of the rogues hesitated, his throat tightening. "...Sir," he finally muttered, "General Albert specifically warned us not to go after him—no matter what you say."
Justin’s eyes flickered with rage, and the rogue immediately dropped to his knees.
"Please, sir, try to understand!" the other rogue pleaded, stepping forward to defend his companion. "Tyson is a Sergeant. He wouldn’t go down easily if we caught him off guard. Even Lieutenant-ranked warriors would struggle to take him down in under a minute. It will be better if we leave him be—"
Justin’s hand whipped across the rogue’s face as the force of the slap sent the man staggering back, his cheek burning red and his eyes filled with fear.
"How dare you?" Justin seethed, his voice venomous. "You want me to let that bastard walk free? The one who dared to touch my wife?" His eyes burned with obsession.
"You want me to let him breathe? To let him roam as if he hasn’t already sullied what’s mine?"
Justin’s expression twisted into something monstrous, "No. I won’t allow it."
His gaze flicked back toward Nancy in the distance.
"I want to kill him before we leave," Justin declared, "I want her to watch as I tear him apart piece by piece. I want her to see what happens when she chooses anyone but me."
The rogue, kneeling on the ground, swallowed hard before speaking, "But sir... with your background, it won’t be difficult to kill him later. One mistake now could ruin our entire plan."
Justin’s fingers twitched. He wanted nothing more than to see Tyson’s lifeless body at his feet, to strip him of everything he had. The thought of Nancy looking at that bastard with even an ounce of affection made his blood boil.
But... what if something went wrong?
There would be no second chance if their plan to take Nancy failed. The Rangers would tighten security, Tyson would become even more vigilant, and the entire city would be on high alert. He had worked too hard, pulled too many strings, and paid too much to let a moment of impulse destroy everything.
His jaw clenched, and he exhaled slowly. "You do have a point. I let my emotions get in the way."
A black minivan stopped before them as Derius opened the door from inside, feeling nervous and unsure, wondering if the mission he had taken would lead him into trouble or not.
"There it is, our first step," he said, adjusting his jacket. "It’s time to do what we came here for, right, fellas?"
Derius stepped out, gesturing for them to sit, while his friend smiled at him from the driver’s seat. "I will meet you at the junkyard."
Derius nodded as he looked at the people sitting inside the van, while the young man winked at him. "Tell the boys to be ready; we will be there in a few minutes."
Derius nodded as the black minivan began slowly driving away in the evening shade of orange.
