86: Mother and daughter are safe
Finally, accompanied by the cries of infants, new lives arrived on Goddess Peak.
Yan Ruyu, Qin Yao, Yao Xi, Ji Ziyue, Ji Biyue, Phoenix, Zixia, the Saintess of Yaochi, Jiang Caixuan, and ten other Saintesses, along with forty-one other Saintesses, all successfully gave birth to their children. The entire Goddess Peak was filled with an atmosphere of joy and happiness.
Hearing the cries coming from the rooms, Ye Wen's anxious heart finally settled.
Soon, when Ye Wen was led by a Maid to open the first door, he saw Yan Ruyu looking sideways at the infant in the swaddling clothes, tears still clinging to the corners of her eyes.
"Ruyu..." Ye Wen, his heart racing with excitement, quickly stepped forward to hold her cold hand, his gaze falling upon her pale lips. Yan Ruyu had damp strands of hair clinging to her forehead, yet she smiled as she handed over the swaddling clothes: "Look, our child. She won't let go of my finger." The baby's pink little hand was clutching a strand of her mother's dark hair, and Ye Wen couldn't help but smile at the sight.
"Our child, why don't you give her a name?" Yan Ruyu said weakly, looking at her daughter with maternal radiance.
Hearing the request for a name, Ye Wen looked at his daughter in the swaddling clothes; her adorable, plump appearance was very cute. Ye Wen thought for a moment.
Then he gently said to Yan Ruyu: "How about we name our child Ye Muyan? Taking the character 'Yan' from your name."
"Muyan?" Yan Ruyu looked at the child in Ye Wen's arms and couldn't help but smile: "That's a lovely name." Yan Ruyu was quite satisfied with the name.
Seeing that Yan Ruyu liked it, Ye Wen's eyes also held a smile, and he gently returned the daughter in his arms to Yan Ruyu.
The Maid beside them stepped forward and said: "Madam, you should feed the child now." She then looked at Ye Wen: "Saint, you should go next door to visit the other Madams." Just as she finished speaking.
A hoarse complaint suddenly came from the next room from Qin Yao: "You surnamed Ye! Aren't you going to come see your daughter?!"
Hearing Qin Yao's shout, Ye Wen gave Yan Ruyu a helpless smile and said: "Then you should rest well. I will come back tomorrow to visit you and the child." Ye Wen leaned down and kissed Yan Ruyu's face a few times.
He then left Yan Ruyu's room.
He subsequently arrived at Qin Yao's room next door.
Pushing the door open, he saw her leaning among piles of silk, her hair slightly dishevelled but her eyes full of vitality. The newborn was kicking its little legs in her arms, and surprisingly, there was a Cinnabar Mole on its forehead. "This little thing tormented me for so long, it's truly a Big Scoundrel." Qin Yao poked the baby's face.
Hearing Qin Yao's words, Ye Wen showed a helpless expression and said: "That's your daughter, not a little thing." Ye Wen walked to the bedside, sat down, and placed the child on Qin Yao's chest.
"Didn't you hear her cry? Crying means she's hungry. It's time to feed her, my Little Enchantress."
Watching Ye Wen personally take charge and teach her how to feed the baby, Qin Yao couldn't help but laugh.
"Young Master, you seem to know quite a lot, don't you?" Qin Yao held her daughter and began to feed her. Looking at her daughter suckling the breast milk, Qin Yao's gaze revealed a hint of tenderness.
"What is the child's name?" Qin Yao looked at Ye Wen.
"Let's call her Ye Siyao, so she remembers the hardship of her mother." Ye Wen had already decided on the name for his and Qin Yao's child.
"Siyao?" Qin Yao looked at her daughter suckling the breast milk, then stretched out her hand and poked her pink cheek. "My child, your name is Siyao. Your father chose it for you. If you have any complaints, talk to your father when you grow up."
Listening to Qin Yao's words, Ye Wen raised his hand and said: "Then when Siyao grows up, I'll tell her that her mother spoke ill of her when she was born." Hearing Ye Wen's words, Qin Yao glared at him coquettishly. "Pah, pah, pah! Who spoke ill of her? Don't slander me! Also, you should leave now, I need to rest." Qin Yao looked towards the Maid beside her.
The Maid understood Qin Yao's look, stepped forward, and ushered Ye Wen out of the room.
After Ye Wen left Qin Yao's room, the corners of his mouth curled into a smile.
He then continued toward the next room.
Yao Xi's delivery room was the most refined; an unfinished game of chess still sat on the table. When Ye Wen pushed the door open and entered, he saw her placing the swaddling clothes in her arms, looking slightly helpless due to the baby's cries.
"You're here. Look at your daughter; she's very cute, and very much like you." Yao Xi looked at Ye Wen, who had just entered, while observing the child whose hands were constantly tugging at her clothes.
"I think the child looks very much like you. Look, isn't she inheriting your beauty? Although she was just born, you can already see a resemblance to you. When she grows up, she will definitely be as beautiful and charming as her mother." Ye Wen approached Yao Xi and smiled.
"Such a smooth talker." Yao Xi rolled her eyes coquettishly, then held the child and began to feed her. "What's the child's name? Choose a nice one."
Hearing Yao Xi's words, Ye Wen stated the name he had already thought of.
"Chengxi, inheriting everything from you and a part of me." Ye Wen stretched out his hand and gently stroked Chengxi's pink little face.
"Ye Chengxi?" Yao Xi repeated the name twice, and then a brilliant smile appeared on her face.
Her fingertips, stained with Henna, lightly tapped the baby's nose. "Ye Chengxi, this is your name."
Watching the mother-daughter interaction, Ye Wen stood up and said: "Well, I'll go visit the others now. I'll come back tomorrow to see you and our daughter. You should also rest well." Ye Wen reached out and pinched Yao Xi's cheek.
Causing Yao Xi to roll her eyes at him.
Ye Wen then looked at Chengxi, who was suckling the breast milk, and instructed the Maid to take good care of Yao Xi and their daughter.
Ye Wen turned and left Yao Xi's room.
The next was Ji Ziyue's room.
As Ye Wen arrived at the Corridor, he heard Ji Ziyue's tearful laughter: "She bit me!"
Hearing Ji Ziyue's tearful laughter, Ye Wen quickened his pace, quickly arrived outside Ji Ziyue's room, and pushed the door open.
As soon as he entered, he saw Ji Ziyue holding the loudly wailing infant, her clothes half-open. The teeth marks on her chest were still red. "Just like your father, you belong to the Dog zodiac!"
"What nonsense are you talking about? When did I ever bite you?" Ye Wen pushed the door open, entering with a speechless expression as he looked at Ji Ziyue.
"Big Scoundrel, you're here! Quickly take her." Upon seeing Ye Wen, Ji Ziyue immediately handed the child in her arms to him.
When Ye Wen took the child, the little doll immediately stopped crying, her glassy eyes reflecting the appearance of both parents.
"Such a good girl." Ye Wen smiled as he looked at the child who had stopped crying, then stretched out a finger to tease her.
"Big Scoundrel, you did bite me, you bad guy, and now you won't admit it." Ji Ziyue pouted her cute little mouth and looked at Ye Wen.
Then she pointed to her chest and said: "You pretended to be a child several times, and then you... Wuwuwu..."
Ye Wen reached out and covered her mouth.
Half of his face had already turned dark.
"Stop messing around. Also, the child is hungry. Hurry up and feed her." Ye Wen looked at the daughter in his arms, then pulled Ji Ziyue into his embrace.
