150: Chapter 150 Invitation

"Stupid."

Elder Chu Yao had a cold expression on his face.

Standing before him were several Disciples.

Three days had passed, and for three consecutive days, there had been no word from either Qiu Zhe or Zhao Yu.

Clearly, something had happened to the two of them.

He didn't believe for a second that those two had the guts to betray the Sect or anything of the sort.

It seemed his previous guess was correct; the person they had targeted was no simple character, and instead, the two of them had ended up getting themselves done in.

"Elder, we haven't been able to find out that person's identity,"

A Disciple said, looking slightly nervous.

They hadn't found any information regarding the identity of their targets; they didn't even know their names.

"Hmph..."

Elder Chu Yao let out a cold snort.

He had reason to suspect that this was a trap set against their Shangji Sect. Everyone in the cultivation world knew that their Shangji Sect had been collecting items from the Wuji Pavilion.

The other party had hidden their identity to win the Four Symbols Yin-Yang Formation, and combined with the disappearance of those two Disciples, Elder Chu Yao had reason to suspect it was intentional.

"Search. Keep searching. If they are alive, I want to see them; if they are dead, I want to see their bodies,"

Elder Chu Yao said.

Regardless of whether something had happened to them, they had to be found.

If something really had happened to them, then he wanted to see exactly who was targeting their Shangji Sect.

Who would dare target their Shangji Sect?

"Yes!"

Several Disciples responded in unison.

With a wave of Elder Chu Yao's hand, the Disciples dispersed.

Elder Chu Yao returned to his room alone.

"It failed."

He took out a Jade Slip and spoke.

Although the trade between their Shangji Sect and some of the Yao Race had been successfully completed, the deal with the Red Flood Dragon Clan targeting Master Yun Hua had failed.

That mysterious Nirvana expert.

That figure appeared in Elder Chu Yao's mind. Could it be some old monster from Yuanxu Mountain?

Then there was the Four Symbols Yin-Yang Formation;

they had been determined to get that Formation. Now, not only had the Formation been auctioned off by someone else, but even two Disciples were missing.

They might even be dead.

It could be said that Elder Chu Yao was extremely dissatisfied with this outcome.

"It can only be this way."

...

Yuanyang Building

Lin Ming and the other two had just finished enjoying a delicious meal. They walked out of the private booth and headed downstairs.

As they reached the first floor, their path was blocked.

A purple-haired woman holding a small fox blocked their way.

"Hu Miaotong of Ku Mountain greets the three of you."

Hu Miaotong looked at the three of them with a seductive smile as she spoke.

"You're from the Ku Mountain Fox Clan?!"

Yan Nian's expression immediately became tense upon hearing Hu Miaotong's words.

"Purple Spirit Illusion Fox,"

Lin Ming said.

The Ku Mountain Fox Clan was the Purple Spirit Illusion Fox tribe that lived on Ku Mountain.

The Purple Spirit Illusion Fox tribe was a race that was relatively friendly toward the Human Race, and their strength made them a major power among the Yao Race.

"Is there something you need?"

Lin Ming asked.

He didn't recall knowing anyone from the Purple Spirit Illusion Fox tribe, or perhaps she was here to see his little Junior Sister.

"By the order of my ancestor, I invite the Old Ancestor Yun Hua to visit as a guest."

Hu Miaotong then produced a purple invitation and presented it to Lin Ming.

Ancestor?

The ancestor she spoke of was likely a cultivator in the Nirvana Realm, though he couldn't be entirely certain.

To be able to invite Revered Master for a visit, they were more than likely an acquaintance of hers.

"I understand."

Lin Ming took the invitation.

He had accepted the invitation, but as for whether she would go, that was Revered Master's business; he had no right to decide for her.

"Then I won't disturb the three of you any longer,"

Hu Miaotong said to Lin Ming with a smile.

Then, she turned and left, still holding the little fox.

Charm Arts.

Interesting.

Lin Ming could see that the fox had used a charm art on him, but unfortunately, such things were useless against him.

That little fox's strength was too weak.

"Senior Brother, don't be bewitched by these cunning fox demons of the Ku Mountain Fox Clan,"

Yan Nian said to Lin Ming with a solemn expression.

Although she had never interacted with the Ku Mountain Fox Clan, her mother had told her that they were incredibly cunning and that one must be extra cautious when dealing with them.

"I know,"

Lin Ming nodded.

"These foxes can't fool Senior Brother,"

Su Lianxue added.

With her Senior Brother's strength and personality, even if you bundled all those foxes together, they probably couldn't trick him.

"Junior Sister knows me best,"

Lin Ming looked at Su Lianxue and smiled.

"Let's go."

The three of them returned to the inn.

Lin Ming went to his Revered Master's door alone.

He reached out and knocked gently.

A few seconds later, the door opened automatically.

Lin Ming walked into the room and saw his Revered Master sitting in a chair with a pot of tea on the table before her.

"Revered Master, I brought this for you."

One by one, food containers were taken out of the Storage Ring, quickly filling the entire table.

A delicious aroma wafted through the air.

"Not bad, my good Disciple,"

Master Yun Hua said with a slight smile.

"Also, Revered Master, this is an invitation from the Ku Mountain Fox Clan, inviting you to visit."

Lin Ming took out the invitation.

Master Yun Hua took the invitation; inside the so-called invitation was only a single piece of paper.

After Master Yun Hua glanced at the paper, a wisp of flame emerged from her hand, burning the invitation to ashes.

"That vixen."

...

The next day.

Master Yun Hua led Lin Ming and the others out.

However, Master Yun Hua's identity had already been exposed, so her every move drew significant attention from others.

"Peak Revered Master."

Outside the inn,

a carriage was waiting, driven by a Yuanxu Mountain Disciple stationed in Cangyuan City.

As a city built to monitor the Yao Race, many Sects had established strongholds in Cangyuan City, and Yuanxu Mountain was no exception.

Lin Ming gave a location, and the Disciple immediately drove the carriage away.

The North City.

The place where the Yao Race resided.

Regarding the living areas of the Yao Race, Cangyuan City had strict regulations. Any Yao Race member wishing to live in Cangyuan City could only do so in the North City; they were forbidden from living anywhere else.

Once discovered, they would be immediately expelled from Cangyuan City.

Of course, this rule only applied to the majority of the Yao Race; for a small portion, the authorities turned a blind eye.

At a certain manor,

the carriage stopped outside, and Master Yun Hua and the others stepped down.

A guard watching the manor saw them get off and immediately ran inside.

A moment later, a handsome man walked out.

"Welcome, Old Ancestor Yun Hua."

Hu De spoke to Master Yun Hua with an air of respect.

"Where is that vixen?"

Master Yun Hua asked coldly.

"The Ancestor has been waiting for a long time. Please follow me."

Hu De then led the four of them into the manor.

They walked past several buildings and arrived at a pond.

He saw Hu Miaotong and the little fox standing behind a chair, while a young girl lay on the chair, looking quite relaxed.

"Little Yun Hua, you've finally come."
