360: Chapter 360 "Paying Homage at Court"

Yuanxu Mountain

Zichen Peak

Su Lianxue stepped out of her place of seclusion.

Her cultivation had leaped to the Sixth Heaven of the Bitter Sea Realm, only a step away from the Seventh Heaven.

In truth, whether Su Lianxue stepped into the Seventh Heaven of the Bitter Sea Realm was entirely up to her whim; she had simply suppressed her cultivation level.

Furthermore, compared to the Breakthrough in her cultivation...

Su Lianxue's greatest gain was a Breakthrough in her Cultivation Technique.

The two spiritual items Senior Brother gave her had been a huge help, allowing her to make a significant Breakthrough in her Cultivation Technique.

"Where is Senior Brother?"

Su Lianxue asked in surprise.

She actually didn't see any sign of her Senior Brother on the peak.

Normally, at this time of day, Senior Brother should be basking in the sun and taking a nap.

Seclusion?

Since the day she joined Zichen Peak, she had never seen her Senior Brother go into seclusion.

And looking at the seclusion quarters, only Yan Nian was currently inside.

Could it be that Senior Brother went to wander around the other peaks?

After searching the peak to no avail, Su Lianxue headed down the mountain.

Of course, her purpose for going down the mountain wasn't to look for Lin Ming.

Hidden Sword Peak

Su Lianxue arrived at Hidden Sword Peak alone.

"Junior Sister Su, what brings you to Hidden Sword Peak?"

A young Disciple proactively approached Su Lianxue and asked.

"Senior Brother, I'd like to know where Senior Sister Yu Yaoqin is?"

Su Lianxue said with a slight smile.

The male Disciple was momentarily stunned by Su Lianxue's smile.

"You want to see Senior Sister Yu? I'll take you there right away."

The Disciple quickly recovered and spoke with slight constraint.

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Senior Brother."

Su Lianxue said.

"No trouble at all, no trouble."

The Disciple said hurriedly.

"Senior Brother, there are quite a few less Disciples on Hidden Sword Peak."

As they walked up the mountain, Su Lianxue observed her surroundings.

Compared to her previous visit, there were noticeably fewer Disciples on Hidden Sword Peak.

"Yes. Many have gone to the front lines to fight the Demonic Path."

The Disciple replied.

"If it weren't for the fact that there were too many applicants and the Sect limited the number of people from Hidden Sword Peak who could join the war, I would have gone too. I just signed up too late."

Seven Peaks of Yuanxu

The most enthusiastic about this war were definitely the Disciples of Hidden Sword Peak.

It could be said that if Yuanxu Mountain hadn't proactively limited the number of participating Disciples from Hidden Sword Peak, the entire peak might have gone to war.

Before long, the two arrived at the place where the Hidden Sword Peak Disciples held their sparring matches.

"Next, next!"

Yu Yaoqin's voice rang in Su Lianxue's ears.

Following that, Su Lianxue saw Yu Yaoqin standing on a high platform, holding a long sword with a heroic and spirited air.

Standing opposite her was a female Disciple whose sword had already flown out of her hand and was stuck in the ground outside the platform.

"That sword move again? Why haven't I seen this move before?"

The gaze of a Disciple was fixed on Yu Yaoqin, specifically on the sword in her hand.

The sword technique Yu Yaoqin displayed was incredibly subtle and profound; some among them couldn't even understand the moves she was making.

"It's likely a sword move obtained by the Peak Master."

One person speculated.

Yu Yaoqin's sword technique was not a technique from their Yuanxu Mountain.

Because of this, they were curious about her sword technique and wanted to learn it.

"Junior Sister Yu, please grant me your guidance."

A middle-aged man stepped onto the stage and spoke with a serious expression.

"Come."

Yu Yaoqin raised her sword.

Fifteen rounds.

After only fifteen rounds of clashing sword moves...

The sword in the man's hand flew out, also falling off the platform and stabbing into the ground.

"Alright, that's enough for today. This lady is a bit tired."

Yu Yaoqin had noticed Su Lianxue's arrival by this time.

She immediately ended today's sparring.

"Junior Sister Yu, what is that sword technique you're using?"

Finally, someone couldn't help but ask Yu Yaoqin.

"It's a secret."

Yu Yaoqin said with a mysterious look.

She walked over to Su Lianxue, grabbed her hand directly, and left the area.

"Senior Sister's strength is getting greater and greater."

Su Lianxue teased.

"That's only because of the sword technique you taught me, Junior Sister."

Yu Yaoqin said.

The sword moves Yu Yaoqin had just displayed were indeed taught to her by Su Lianxue.

She believed this sword technique was likely something Su Lianxue had obtained from her Senior Martial Uncle, and perhaps because Su Lianxue didn't focus on the Dao of the sword, she had passed it on to her.

However, the difficulty of entering this sword technique was extremely high; she had only mastered the basics so far.

It was only under Su Lianxue's guidance that she had barely managed to reach the entry level.

"To be able to reach the entry level is already quite good."

Su Lianxue nodded.

"Morning Inquiry"

This sword technique was created by a Sword Cultivator under her command.

After he created the technique back then, he had presented it to her.

However, Su Lianxue did not follow the Dao of the sword, so she had only flipped through it casually and remembered the earlier parts.

But even just the earlier parts were enough for most Sword Cultivators to spend a lifetime on, and some might never even fully digest it.

The fact that Yu Yaoqin could barely reach the entry level under her guidance showed that she did have a bit of talent.

She wondered if that fellow had touched the threshold of a Quasi-Emperor yet.

Or rather, how was his situation now?

After she had been backstabbed...

"Junior Sister, why don't you follow the Dao of the sword? Your talent for it isn't weak at all."

Yu Yaoqin asked curiously.

After being guided by Su Lianxue, Yu Yaoqin realized that Su Lianxue's talent for the sword was not bad at all—it was even higher than her own.

"I'm simply not cut out to be a Sword Cultivator."

Su Lianxue shook her head.

She knew her talent in the Dao of the sword was limited and she knew where her path lay.

There was absolutely no need to waste time on the sword.

Hearing this, Yu Yaoqin's mouth twitched slightly.

She hadn't expected Su Lianxue to evaluate her own sword talent this way.

Put it this way: if Su Lianxue wasn't cut out for the sword, then at least half the Disciples of Hidden Sword Peak weren't even worth the material.

She was still too humble.

"By the way, Junior Sister, do you know where Senior Brother went?"

Yu Yaoqin asked at this point.

"You know, Senior Sister?"

Su Lianxue asked back.

"Of course I know. That fellow Senior Brother ran off to Dongchao City, the territory of the Canghai Sword Pavilion, to deliver a letter."

Yu Yaoqin said.

This information was also inadvertently revealed to her by a female Disciple of Hidden Sword Peak.

It just so happened that she was at the Mission Hall at the time and also happened to see the mission Lin Ming had taken.

"Stinky Senior Brother, it's just a delivery mission, he should have been back quickly. Since he hasn't returned for so long, he must have run into something fun."

Yu Yaoqin said with a dissatisfied expression.

Since Senior Brother hadn't returned yet, something must have happened.

"Junior Sister, should we go to Dongchao City to see what Senior Brother is up to?"
