51: Inside the Treasure Pavilion

Chu Qinhui narrowed his eyes and pondered for a moment. This golden scale was indeed a good item; regardless of whether to sell it or not, it would be best to consult his father's opinion before making a decision.

Seemingly having discerned the hesitation in his eyes, Sun Chunchen smiled and spoke, "I imagine you cannot make this decision yourself; you had best go back and ask your father first."

Chu Qinhui let out a sigh of relief and offered an apologetic smile to Sun Chunchen, "Uncle Sun, I truly cannot make the call on this; I must return and inform my father."

Sun Chunchen waved his hand, not minding at all, "It is fine. Your Family has only just become a Noble Family; you certainly need items to increase your foundation. Even if you do not have use for it now, your descendants will surely find a use for it one day. After all, such an item is rare."

Chu Qinhui carefully tucked the golden scale that Sun Chunchen had handed back into his bosom.

"Manager Du, please give me a price for the rest of the items."

Manager Du counted the remaining Mortal Rank Materials one by one, then reported a price to Chu Jingyu, "Together, these Mortal Rank Materials count as seventy-five Origin Rune Stones. And this Lingxi Ox horn counts as five Source Spirit Stones. Do you find this acceptable?"

This price was already much higher than what Chu Qinhui had expected in his heart; naturally, Chu Qinhui had no objections, "Let it be as you say."

Manager Du touched the jade token at his waist, and jade stones the size of a thumb appeared on the tabletop.

Chu Qinhui secretly glanced at that token, knowing it was a rare spatial artifact; it was expensive, but truly convenient to use.

Among the jade stones on the table, five appeared particularly eye-catching. Their entire bodies emitted a clear fluorescent glow, looking more precious than those jade stones that only had some glowing patterns.

Chu Qinhui did not carefully count the number of Origin Rune Stones, but instead took out two brocade pouches and gathered all of the Origin Rune Stones and Source Spirit Stones.

After doing this, Chu Qinhui straightened up and cupped his hands, "I still have to go to the Treasure Pavilion to purchase some items, so I shall take my leave now."

Sun Chunchen did not stop him, "If your funds are insufficient, you may come here to take some."

With a grateful smile, Chu Qinhui shook the two brocade pouches in his hand, "I am not buying many things; these are sufficient."

...

The Treasure Pavilion was located three streets away from the Medicine Heart Hall.

The location of the Medicine Heart Hall was more desolate and remote, while the Treasure Pavilion was situated on the most bustling street in the entire town.

Although the Treasure Pavilion was the tallest building in town, ordinary people rarely knew its name, simply because this building had no plaque and it was not often seen that people entered it.

Therefore, the people in town all assumed this building was the residence of some noble.

Chu Qinhui walked up to this building and, according to what was written in Xiaofan's letter, gathered the energy of a Contract Master into his eyes, then looked toward the building before him.

A completely different scene appeared before him.

There were figures moving in and out, and an illusory barrier, like light gauze, wrapped the entire building within it. People who walked inside completely disappeared from the sight of ordinary people.

Even if ordinary people witnessed the scene of figures vanishing into thin air, in the next second, they would lose that memory, as if nothing had ever happened.

On the plaque were written three large, gold-stamped characters: "Treasure Pavilion".

Chu Qinhui wrapped Spiritual Qi around his hands, and the next moment, the gauze-like barrier before him instantly opened a passageway that allowed one person to pass through.

Chu Qinhui stepped inside, as if he had arrived in another world.

The sun in the sky actually had a long tail, and the light shining down made one feel a slight burning pain.

Could this be the real world Beyond the Border that his father described?

Upon seeing that iconic sun, such a thought immediately arose in Chu Qinhui's heart.

"Hey, move aside, don't stand there like a fool and block the way."

Just as Chu Qinhui was looking up at the sky, an impatient voice came from behind him.

Chu Qinhui subconsciously dodged to one side, and when he turned back, he saw a person dressed in a strange manner.

He wore a tall hat, which looked like a strange contraption stitched together from some kind of Source Beast skin and bone. On his body was a coat stitched from some kind of snow fox, yet he left his left arm and shoulder bare, leaving one unable to tell whether he was cold or hot.

Just as Chu Qinhui was examining him, a mouse's head poked out from his tall hat, its eyes emitting a certain green light, looking at him with desire.

However, the man seemed to have eyes on the back of his head; he reached out his palm and patted the mouse's head, and the mouse head immediately hid back under the hat.

This strange person glanced sideways at Chu Qinhui, "You are polite enough, so I will spare you from suffering."

Chu Qinhui frowned. What kind of strange person was this, speaking so bluntly?

"Huang Daxian, what are you saying? You are scaring our shop's customers again."

A young girl dressed in cyan clothes appeared at the shop entrance, glaring at the strange person with dissatisfaction.

"Miss Qing Luo, I am just having some fun, why be so serious?" Huang Daxian laughed and walked straight into the pavilion.

Qing Luo shot him a glare but did not pay him any more mind, then looked at Chu Qinhui, putting on a friendly smile, "Young Master, is this your first time at our Treasure Pavilion?"

Chu Qinhui nodded.

"Then Young Master, please follow me, and I will introduce you to the layout of our Treasure Pavilion."

Chu Qinhui cupped his hands in thanks and followed the young girl into the entrance of the Treasure Pavilion.

The first thing that met his eyes was an extremely spacious hall, with quite a few stalls presented along the outer edge of the hall, forming a circle.

"This first floor is where we sell some Mortal Rank Materials, or various types of finely forged weapons needed for going out. Additionally, there are trivial items like healing medicine and detoxification pills. I do not know what you are here to purchase today, Young Master?"

"Spirit Liquid containing Spiritual Qi, various flower pollens, and some wood-elemental crystals."

Qing Luo looked Chu Qinhui up and down and continued to ask: "Spirit Liquid is easy; we have quite a lot here. Do you need Mortal Rank or Uncommon Rank? If it is Spirit Rank, I can also use my authority to have it transferred from other shops."

"No need to trouble yourself; just bring me some of both Uncommon Rank and Mortal Rank."

Qing Luo nodded without objection, "And what rank of flower pollen do you need?"

"Both the flower pollen and the wood-elemental crystals can just be Mortal Rank. That is all for now."

Hearing this, Qing Luo nodded, then waved her hand in a gentle beckoning gesture. Several nimble cyan birds flew out from her sleeves and, under Chu Qinhui's watchful gaze, flew toward different stalls.

"Our second floor has some Spirit Rank medicinal herbs and utensils, and of course, some weapons made from Materials of Source Beasts. As for the third floor, it is specifically for selling Source Beasts; basically, any common Source Beast egg can be found there, as long as you have enough money. The fourth floor is our auction house; every so often, when we have collected enough treasures in our pavilion, we will hold an auction."

"Your pavilion is truly fully functional, but I see that there seem to be people inside this Treasure Pavilion other than those from our Heyu Town."
