125: 4 vs. Level 25 players! Wait and see!

Clang!

The Double Elevator doors opened with a sound.

A cold aura, mixed with stardust and void, assaulted their faces.

Outside the door was a colossal circular platform suspended in the infinite cosmos, surrounded by an unfathomable darkness, dotted with distant, dim starlight, and eerily silent, making one's heart palpitate.

On the platform, two groups of people stood in clear opposition.

The team on the left consisted of two men in identical silver-white battle armor, each wearing a metal wrist guard engraved with the letters "S9" on his wrist.

One was tall, carrying a legendary glowing great axe on his shoulder, his aura domineering.

The other was slender, wielding two equally legendary poisoned long blades, his entire being like a phantom hidden in shadows.

The team on the right consisted of a Bald Strong Man over two meters tall, his muscles bulging like a coiled iron tower.

Beside him stood a youth of about fifteen or sixteen, with delicate features but dark eyes, an unyielding malevolence unsuited to his age lingering about him.

Both groups of people were adorned with the gleam of several legendary-grade equipment pieces.

When Su Mo and his group emerged from the Double Elevator, the man with the great axe merely glanced at them and let out a disdainful snort.

"Heh, now any Tom, Dick, or Harry can come here, huh?"

The voice wasn't loud, but it clearly reached everyone's ears.

Evidently, in the eyes of these top players from the "old servers," these "paupers" like Su Mo, who couldn't even put together a full set of legendary equipment, weren't even qualified to be their opponents.

"Oh, I wonder who it is, turns out it's 'Mad Axe,' second on the S9 combat power ranking, and 'Ghost Shadow,' fourth?"

Long Kuier crossed her arms over her chest and retorted without politeness.

"Are they famous?" Su Mo asked casually.

"Famous?" Long Kuier pouted, her chin slightly raised, "Just two defeated opponents. Back in the arena, they kept saying that our Long family only relied on our family, but my second sister pinned them to the ground and rubbed them back and forth by herself."

Upon hearing this, Su Mo couldn't help but smile.

He glanced at the little loli, whose face was clearly proclaiming, "My second sister is invincible," and indeed felt a hint of interest in the eldest young lady of the Long family, whom he had never met.

To be able to use a top-five expert on the S9 combat power ranking as a sandbag, that person must also be a formidable individual.

"What about the other two?" Su Mo's gaze fell on the Bald Strong Man and the gloomy youth.

"Don't know them." Long Kuier shook her head, "But to be able to confront 'Mad Axe' and them here, they're probably not pushovers either."

Su Mo nodded, his gaze sweeping over the levels above the four people's heads.

LV25.

Uniform, without the slightest deviation.

"Their levels have all been suppressed," Su Mo said, as if remembering something, looking at Long Kuier, "You and your bodyguard, too?"

"Of course." Long Kuier nodded in admission, "We used a 'Downgrade Talisman.'"

"【Downgrade Talisman】?"

"Mhm," Long Kuier explained, "A very rare special item that allows high-level players to temporarily suppress their level to a specified standard, used to enter special dungeons with level restrictions."

She added, "However, the side effects are also significant. After use, all attributes will be suppressed to a level commensurate with the current level. So don't let their good equipment fool you; their current combat power is only slightly stronger than that of ordinary Level 25 players."

"I see." Su Mo pondered, then looked Long Kuier up and down with a teasing gaze, "So, you also specifically downgraded to come down?"

"Cough, cough!" Long Kuier's small face flushed, and she awkwardly turned her head away, yet she stubbornly puffed out her small chest, "I... I specifically downgraded to bring you, this newcomer! Don't misunderstand!"

"How long does this 'Downgrade Talisman' last?" Su Mo didn't continue to tease her.

"Twelve hours. Once the time is up, the level will automatically restore."

Su Mo understood.

It seemed that this hidden dungeon of the "Double Elevator" had long become an exclusive hunting ground for these top players from the old servers to acquire divine equipment.

Just then, the massive door in the center of the platform, cast from an unknown metal, let out a dull roar and slowly opened a crack.

An abyssal aura, purer and more terrifying than the cosmic void, gushed out from the crack!

"The door opened!"

The two groups instantly stopped their confrontation, their eyes simultaneously flaring with eagerness.

Without any hesitation, they almost simultaneously transformed into four afterimages and charged towards the great door.

Upon reaching the entrance, the four seemed to have reached some unspoken agreement, simultaneously taking out ten pitch-black Abyssal Keys from their storage spaces.

【Ding! Detected 'Abyssal Key' x10, entry permitted!】

The cold system prompt echoed above the platform.

A dense black light shot out from the crack in the door, engulfing all four figures.

"Clang!"

The great door closed tightly again, sealing perfectly.

"Let's go quickly too!" Long Kuier became anxious, grabbing Su Mo's wrist and intending to rush towards the entrance.

"Wait." Su Mo, however, pulled her back, unmoving.

"What are we waiting for?" Long Kuier stamped her foot in frustration, "If we don't go in soon, the BOSS will be snatched by them!"

"Didn't you see how many people went in just now?" Su Mo pointed to the cold great door.

"Four, why?"

"Didn't you hear the system prompt either?"

"I heard it, 'Abyssal Key' ten of them, we also have..." Long Kuier said, her voice trailing off, as she seemed to understand something.

Su Mo spoke calmly: "That door, the maximum entry limit at one time, is four people."

"Ah? There's such a rule?" Long Kuier was completely stunned, "Yan didn't tell me."

"She probably forgot." Su Mo shrugged, "Now, we can only wait."

"Then... how long do we have to wait?"

"Don't know." Su Mo shook his head, "Until they fail the challenge and get thrown out, or... succeed in the challenge."

Long Kuier: "..."

She stared at the tightly closed great door, her delicate little face filled with annoyance and worry.

If those guys really got ahead, her trip this time would be in vain.

Time, minute by minute, flowed away.

On the platform, a deathly silence fell once more.

Long Kuier was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan, pacing back and forth impatiently in front of the great door.

Her small legs, clad in white over-the-knee socks, tapped out a crisp "da-da-da" sound on the floor, betraying her inner turmoil.

"Ugh, this is so annoying! Why aren't they coming out yet!"

After waiting for nearly ten minutes, Long Kuier finally couldn't hold back and complained, puffing out her cheeks.

"It's only been ten minutes."

Su Mo leaned against the Double Elevator door at his leisure, enjoying her anxious and annoyed expression, "A Hegemon-grade BOSS, do you think it's a small monster by the roadside that you can just take down?"

"Hegemon-grade?" Xiao Wu blinked her curious, watery pink eyes, "What's that? Is it more powerful than a Lord-grade?"

"Of course." Su Mo patiently explained, "A Lord-grade BOSS is at most a regional warlord in one server. But a Hegemon-grade BOSS is a true overlord who can dominate one or even multiple servers! Its strength is at least ten times greater than a Lord-grade!"

"That powerful?!" Xiao Wu stuck out her cute little tongue in surprise, feeling her understanding of this world had been refreshed again.

She looked up, gazing at Su Mo with some worry: "Then... can you defeat it?"

"Don't worry." Su Mo smiled, reaching out to pat her head.

"As long as the money is enough, let alone a Hegemon-grade, even a legendary God-grade BOSS, I'll still catch it for you and raise it as a pet."

Xiao Wu: "Okay! Okay!"

"Hmph! Boasting!"

Long Kuier, listening to Su Mo's words from the side, pouted disdainfully.

"Catch a God-grade BOSS as a pet, who do you think you are? Is this Gaia Game run by your family?"

"That's not for certain."

Su Mo smiled meaningfully, his gaze once again turning to the tightly closed Abyssal Door.
