13: Chapter 13 Frostfire Star, Dominating the Entire Field

Jiang Yao opened fire frantically, pushing the team forward more than twenty meters all on her own.

The Black Armor Soldierss quickly followed up, reorganizing their defensive line to withstand the Orcs' frantic assault.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly, but that was not the case.

The Void Land on the fifth level was vast, and the monsters within were numerous; the Orcs gathered at the edge of the territory were merely a small fraction of them.

As both sides engaged in battle, more Orcs were stirred by the commotion outside, pouring out from the gray fog like a tidal wave.

Among them were mixed a large number of Orc warriors.

What was even more alarming were some figures that were more robust than ordinary Orc warriors; they were also Orc warriors, but their Physiques were far more imposing, and their equipment was of much higher quality.

"Elite monster."

Lin Xiao, who had walked into the Void Land, also noticed these strange individuals among the monster horde, his expression changing slightly.

Elite monsters were individuals more powerful than ordinary monsters.

Their Physique and spirit had all reached the pinnacle of their rank, which was 100.

Furthermore, their conversion coefficients were higher.

To use a game as an example, an ordinary monster with 100 Physique might have 1000 HP, but an elite monster with 100 Physique could have 3000 HP.

In reality, this meant their actual strength would be even greater.

"Jiang Yao," Lin Xiao said.

Jiang Yao understood and began to gather her strength slightly.

"Boom~"

The wind feather bow vibrated violently, and a thick, azure beam of light blasted toward one of the elite monsters.

The elite monster had no time to block and was hit directly.

However, it did not explode like an ordinary Orc warrior, blasted apart by the arrow; its body was far stronger and tougher than an ordinary Orc warrior.

Even so, a massive penetrating wound appeared on its body, nearly tearing it apart entirely.

Even though it was a Void Monster, it could not survive such a severe injury.

"It can be killed, but the consumption is quite high," Lin Xiao observed, watching the scene.

He saw clearly that Jiang Yao's arrow had been a full-strength strike; she hadn't needed to exert much effort to kill the other Orcs before.

Such a strike was quite taxing for Jiang Yao, and there were still many such elite monsters.

"As expected, relying solely on Jiang Yao and the others' current strength, it would be difficult to clear the Void Land on the fifth level."

Lin Xiao nodded slightly.

Fortunately, the territory's strength was now far greater than before.

He beckoned to those behind him.

Three Frost Giants stepped forward, and under Lin Xiao's command, they attacked without hesitation.

As they raised their palms, incredibly dense magical fluctuations condensed between them, forming a massive, blue-white ball of light.

"Frost Burst Star."

As Gunn and the others exerted their strength, the three blue-white balls of light, containing the ultimate power of frost, trailed long beams of cold light as they shot toward different directions within the monster horde.

In an instant, the three Frost Burst Stars erupted amidst the monster horde.

Terrifying cold air raged.

The monsters caught in the direct path—whether they were Orc laborers or elite monsters—were instantly destroyed into countless shattered ice crystals.

Following that, the tidal wave of cold air surged wildly in all directions, turning all nearby monsters into ice sculptures.

Even the monsters that were further away, having luckily escaped the fate of becoming ice sculptures, saw their speed plummet under the assault of the endless cold air, their movements becoming sluggish; every monster that entered that area was affected.

Each of the three Frost Burst Stars affected an area of several dozen meters in radius, about the size of half a soccer field, and because of their different landing points, they effectively divided the entire battlefield into different sectors.

Lin Xiao watched in amazement.

They were truly worthy of being Perfect-grade units; the destructive power and radius of effect of the Frost Burst Star far exceeded Jiang Yao's bow, with power that surpassed imagination.

It combined long-range bombardment, burst damage, and crowd control into one.

Its strategic significance was extraordinary.

With just one strike, it had directly divided the battlefield.

"Tu Lie."

Lin Xiao issued another order.

Tu Lie, who had been waiting for orders at the edge of the territory, immediately grinned and revealed a ferocious smile upon receiving Lin Xiao's command.

He had been waiting for a long time.

"Brothers, follow me and charge!"

Squeezing his Wuzhui horse, Tu Lie shot forward like a black wind, violently rushing through the invisible barrier.

Zhang Yu and the other Dragon Cavalry quickly followed.

"Rumble~"

The ground suddenly began to shake violently.

Eleven fully armed heavy cavalrymen charged fiercely into the battlefield.

Cavalry, especially heavy cavalry, once they began their charge, were like moving steel fortresses; that kind of momentum was enough to make anyone lose their nerve.

In the blink of an eye, they had charged into the dense horde of monsters.

The Orcs blocking their path had no ability to resist and were successively smashed into piles of minced meat.

Although there were only eleven of them, they charged with the Aura of a thousand troops, forcibly trampling a path of flesh and blood through the monster horde.

Tu Lie, charging at the very front, swung his giant iron axe into a whirlwind, turning the surrounding dozen or so meters into a death zone; any Orcs within this range, even if just grazed by the axe's wind, were either pulverized or suffered broken bones and shattered tendons.

Even elite monsters were no exception.

Soon, they had cut back and forth through the monster horde, slaughtering the Orcs until they were scattered and no longer posed a threat.

Subsequently, the Dragon Cavalry, led by Tu Lie, charged toward other divided battlefields.

Lin Xiao was filled with joy.

Although the Dragon Cavalry were heavy cavalry, their numbers were too few, and their quality was only Rare-grade; logically, they shouldn't have had such a devastatingly effective impact.

However, Tu Lie's strength was too great; under his leadership, he had forced the Dragon Cavalry to unleash even greater power.

He was truly worthy of being the territory's top combat force; Lin Xiao even suspected that Tu Lie could cut through the monster horde all on his own.

The Black Armor Soldierss quickly followed up, reaping the surviving Orcs.

Jiang Yao guarded Lin Xiao, following closely behind; she occasionally drew her wind feather bow, firing an azure beam of light to take out some troublesome opponents and Orcs that were further away.

Finally, there were the three Frost Giants; they no longer attacked, as the number of remaining Orcs was not large, and it was not worth wasting their magical energy.

If anyone thought they were mage-type units and wanted to get close...

The Frost Giants' giant clubs would teach them a lesson.

Gunn and the others were not purely mages; as Giants, their melee combat strength was also very strong, and if necessary, they could fully wield their clubs to charge into battle.

The number of Orcs decreased rapidly.

The number of monsters in this Void Land was extremely high; just the previous battle had attracted nearly ten thousand Orcs, and when adding the Orcs wandering in other places, it definitely exceeded ten thousand.

If it weren't for the fact that Tu Lie and his team were so strong, just killing them all would have taken a very long time.

Lin Xiao followed the team as they advanced.

If there were no surprises, there should be an Orc monster nest deep within this Void Land; only by destroying that monster nest could the Void Land be purified and transformed into a territory.
