152: Chapter 152 The Glorious Dragon Crown, Legendary Barracks

After opening the regional treasure chest, the Thirteenth Layer of the Void Land was quickly transformed into a new territory.

Lin Xiao's territory increased by thirty thousand square kilometers of area.

The size of his territory also became seventy thousand square kilometers, nearly doubling compared to the previous territory.

"As expected of the Void Land, the territory it gives is indeed huge."

Lin Xiao sighed inwardly.

He had wiped out hundreds of Level 5 Lords, which only made his territory larger by ten thousand square kilometers, but now, just by flattening the Thirteenth Layer of the Void Land, his territory had nearly doubled.

Of course, risks and rewards coexist.

Asking the Void Land for territory indeed gives a lot.

However, the vast majority of Level 5 Lords simply did not have this strength, nor did they dare to harbor ideas about the Void Land; after all, with at least five million Void Monsters, how many could possibly defeat them?

Even wanting to rely on territory defense to fight a counterattack was impossible, because monster lairs would continuously breed Void Monsters, and it was impossible to outlast them through attrition.

Everyone else dragged out opening regional treasure chests to delay the connection time between the Void Land and their own territory as much as possible; only an ultra-strong lord like Lin Xiao, whose strength far exceeded his tier, would eagerly wish for the Void Land to connect as fast as possible.

Besides this, Lin Xiao's harvests also included slaughter points and treasure chests.

[Congratulations on being the first to kill a Level 5 Void Monster. Rewarded with 1 billion Source Crystals and one legendary grade treasure chest.]

When killing the first Level 5 Void Monster, the System prompt rang out.

This was also the last legendary grade treasure chest.

Lin Xiao left it to be opened last.

After all, this was a treasure chest that could stably yield legendary grade items.

To this day, Lin Xiao had a profound understanding of the difficulty in obtaining legendary grade items.

In his territory, the only legendary grade items seemed to be the Ten Thousand Spirits Blood Lake and the interdimensional cannon that had not yet been built?

Uh, if excluding heroes and Troop Types, as well as world wonders and Advanced Military Formation Techniques comparable to legendary grade items...

"Open the treasure chest."

Lin Xiao shook his head, casting aside his somewhat bizarre thoughts.

[Congratulations on obtaining the Glorious Dragon Crown (Legendary).]

What was opened this time was a legendary grade equipment, and also the first legendary grade equipment Lin Xiao had obtained.

"Dragon Crown?"

Looking at the bizarre crown before him that exuded terrifying magical fluctuations and seemed to be formed by the intertwining and coiling of countless Dragons, Lin Xiao fell into silence.

Obviously, the most suitable unit for this equipment was the Dragon Clan.

The two alien Troop Types, the Burning Sky Flame Dragon and the Frost Giant, could actually be equipped with gear, but their body sizes were too massive, and the vast majority of equipment could not be used by them.

If the size of the Glorious Dragon Crown were worn on the head of the Burning Sky Flame Dragon, it would probably be about the size of a rice grain.

Could it really take effect?

Thinking about it, Lin Xiao still called Ares over.

He did not wait on the ground, but his figure flashed, appearing in the sky above the central area.

After all, Ares's body was far too massive.

"Lord."

Ares quickly flew over.

"Put it on and try it out."

Lin Xiao didn't waste words and directly threw the Glorious Dragon Crown to Ares.

When he saw the Glorious Dragon Crown, Ares's eyes went straight, revealing an undisguised look of yearning in his gaze. He roared with an excited face, "Thank you for the reward, Lord."

Supported by a wave of magical power, the Glorious Dragon Crown slowly flew in front of Ares.

Streams of terrifying flames spewed from his mouth, beginning to refine this legendary grade equipment.

"Equipment of this level must be refined first before it can be used?"

Lin Xiao's heart stirred slightly.

legendary grade items were far too rare, and his understanding of them was also very limited.

This process did not last long; soon, Ares refined the Glorious Dragon Crown. He saw that this crown, which was incomparably tiny compared to his body, rapidly expanded, transforming in the blink of an eye into a massive dragon crown dozens of meters in size, flying onto the top of Ares's head.

It fit perfectly with his dragon head.

An even more terrifying aura emanated from Ares's body.

"Self-adapting?"

Seeing this scene, Lin Xiao immediately nodded.

However, this kind of equipment effect might only be possessed by legendary grade equipment.

Waving his hand to let the ecstatic Ares return, Lin Xiao went back to the ground.

He opened the attribute panel and took a glance.

slaughter points increased by 12 billion.

"As expected of Void Monsters."

Lin Xiao revealed a look of satisfaction. Aside from elite monsters and behemoths, ordinary Void Monsters did not give high slaughter points, but their numbers were simply too many.

Four Void Lands, adding up to over twenty million Void Monsters, allowed him to obtain so many slaughter points.

Right now, Lin Xiao's total slaughter points amounted to 167 billion.

"Forget it, keeping them is useless."

Thinking about it, Lin Xiao prepared to use slaughter points to upgrade the quality of the barracks.

Originally, he wasn't in a hurry to upgrade the barracks quality, mainly hoping that after upgrading to a Level 6 territory, he would first recruit a batch of Epic Grade Troop Types, then upgrade the barracks quality, clearing the barracks' recruitment limit.

That way, he could also recruit a few more Troop Types.

Furthermore, the recruitment price of legendary grade Troop Types was definitely much higher than that of Epic Grade Troop Types.

By comparison, using slaughter points to upgrade was completely free of charge.

However, over the past few days, after learning more about it, Lin Xiao found that he had overthought things.

legendary grade Troop Types occupied a lot of population.

Even if he upgraded to Level 6 or Level 7 territories in the future, it would be impossible to recruit tens of thousands of legendary grade Troop Types.

Therefore, his barracks' recruitment limit was more than enough.

There was simply no need to clear the recruitment limit.

By the time he reached a Level 8 territory, what he needed to consider would be mythic grade Troop Types.

Although Lin Xiao didn't know yet how much population mythic grade Troop Types occupied, he could imagine that it would definitely not be small, and the barracks' recruitment limit would simply never run out...

As for the expensive price of recruiting legendary grade Troop Types.

There was no help for that either.

When he upgraded to a Level 6 territory, he would inevitably be targeted with full force by the Four Great Races.

Upgrading the barracks quality at that time would probably be a bit too late.

It was safer to accumulate sufficiently powerful strength while at Level 5 territory before upgrading.

"Sigh, it's all forced upon me by the Four Great Races."

Lin Xiao shook his head and sighed.

Every debt has its debtor.

The losses brought about by recruiting legendary grade Troop Types could only be claimed from the Four Great Races.

Having made up his mind, Lin Xiao no longer hesitated.

With a slight movement of his mind, after flying into the air, his gaze instantly locked onto the five barracks located in the four directions of the territory, activating his authority.

[Target detected as an Epic Grade barracks. Do you wish to spend 10 billion slaughter points to upgrade the barracks quality?]

[Target detected as an Epic Grade barracks. Do you wish to spend 10 billion slaughter points to upgrade the barracks quality?]

"Upgrade all of them."

In one go, Lin Xiao spent 50 billion slaughter points and chose to upgrade.

Endless, dense blood-red light descended from the sky, enveloping the five Epic Grade barracks and slowly altering their essence.

As the transformation completed,

"Rumble~"

The five major barracks located across the territory immediately underwent astonishing changes.
