151: Yin and Yang divide dusk and dawn

“Boom—”

The light of life on the cave wall shattered like a mirror, forming a spiderweb of cracks, then vanished with a rumble.

Before the first sound wave’s echo dissipated, a second roar struck like a physical sledgehammer.

Li Xiangyun’s throat surged with a metallic sweetness, and the forcibly activated Tai Chi diagram twisted and deformed in the sound waves. The Dao Intent of Life and Death began to backlash against his Meridians.

The wick of the nether soul guiding lamp suddenly sparked, and the flame, under the forbidden pressure, let out a dying whimper before "puffing" out, plunging the entire cave into a silence darker than any abyss.

The next second, the unimpeded black mist finally surged in like a tsunami, vowing to annihilate the one who had violated the taboo!

“What’s happening? Help!”

Although he had anticipated it, Tang Fu couldn’t help but shout frantically when the moment arrived.

Li Xiangyun ignored the screaming Tang Fu, instead stumbling to lean against the rock wall, his fingernails digging deep into the cracks.

He could clearly feel the malice emanating from the depths of the Heavenly Abyss—an existence far surpassing Nascent Soul and even Soul Transformation, attempting to obliterate his Dao Intent with supreme pressure.

But the closer he came to the brink of collapse, the clearer his consciousness became. In the chaotic Qi generated by the collision of The Dao Intent of Life and Death and the sound wave pressure, he suddenly saw the eyes of a yin-yang fish open in the darkness.

“So-called taboos… are merely truths yet to be glimpsed.”

Li Xiangyun coughed up blood and laughed, his blood-stained fingers tracing the outline of an incomplete yin-yang fish in the air.

As the third roar tore through the sky, he abruptly injected both water and fire Dao Intent into the yin-yang fish eyes.

In an instant, black and white light burst from between his eyebrows, condensing in reverse under the sound wave impact into a massive Tai Chi barrier, forcefully blocking the roar, which was powerful enough to shatter stars, from entering the cave.

“Yin and Yang are The Way of Heaven and Earth, the guiding principle of all things.”

“…”

Suddenly, Li Xiangyun softly chanted.

“Again!?” Tang Fu couldn’t help but widen his eyes. Even though it had happened twice before, he was still filled with shock.

After all, this was Yin-Yang Dao, one of the most powerful Great Daos in the world.

At the same time, Li Xiangyun’s voice continued.

“Therefore, accumulated Yang becomes Heaven, and accumulated Yin becomes Earth. Yin is still, Yang is active; Yang gives birth, Yin grows; Yang kills, Yin hides; Yang transforms into Qi, Yin forms into shape.”

In an instant, Heaven and Earth trembled, and the winds and clouds changed color. Countless black and white lights shot up from the cave, interweaving in the sky to form a gigantic yin-yang fish pattern.

In a trance, everyone seemed to hear the chimes of Heaven and Earth’s resonance.

The sound was clear and pleasant, striking directly at the heart, like the sound of the Great Dao, bringing supreme Dao rhyme.

The next second, the sky suddenly cracked open, and a brilliant light pierced through the fissure, arriving at this world forgotten by the Heavenly Dao.

Wherever the light shone, golden lotuses bloomed from the darkness, thousands of golden petals unfurling layer by layer, cascading down from the sky. Wherever they landed, all things burst with vitality, withered plants instantly sprouted branches and leaves, and spiritual springs gurgled from the rock crevices.

Crimson light, like ten thousand golden rays, tore through the clouds, interweaving into a vast net of light spanning thousands of miles across the sky, dyeing the entire world the color of glazed amber, and illuminating the hideous creatures in the darkness.

And Li Xiangyun’s voice, amplified by the Heavenly Dao’s resonance, grew louder and clearer, spreading throughout the entire Heavenly Abyss.

“Extreme cold gives rise to heat, extreme heat gives rise to cold; cold Qi gives rise to turbidity, hot Qi gives rise to clarity; if clear Qi is below, it causes diarrhea; if turbid Qi is above, it causes bloating.”

“This is Yin and Yang acting in opposition, the inverse progression of illness. Therefore, clear Yang is Heaven, and turbid Yin is Earth.”

…At this moment, everyone, and indeed all living beings, listened to the sound of the Great Dao, mesmerized.

Only the existence in the depths of the Heavenly Abyss let out an unwilling roar.

Because of the arrival of the Heavenly Dao, he dared not show himself at all.

Li Xiangyun continued to chant, both to sort and organize his understanding of Yin-Yang Dao, and to further deepen his comprehension of it.

Time slowly passed, and Tang Fu listened beside him, mesmerized, comprehending the Dao rhyme within.

Suddenly, Tang Fu opened his eyes in surprise, a gleam flashing within them, “He actually comprehended the opportunity for Nascent Soul!”

This made him look at Li Xiangyun with a hint of gratitude.

“Therefore, Yin and Yang are the origin of all things!”

With the fall of the last sound.

A Dragon-like tremor came from the depths of the Heavenly Abyss, and the black mist suddenly churned like boiling ink.

The illusory yin-yang fish around Li Xiangyun actually came to life; where the ice-blue fish tail swept, the black mist froze into frost; when the blood-red fish head devoured, the layer of frost exploded.

Two extreme forces tore at each other in the Chaos, finally reaching a delicate balance at a certain moment. Black and white Dao lines, like a Milky Way reversing, surged up Li Xiangyun’s spine directly to his crown.

The sky dramatically opened, and the Yin and Yang Qi transformed into a tangible pillar of light piercing through Heaven and Earth.

The black mist of the Heavenly Abyss, like boiling water on snow, evaporated into dust the moment it was touched by the pillar of light, revealing Li Xiangyun beneath.

Ice-blue and blood-red intertwined and rotated within the pillar of light, finally condensing into a suspended Yin-Yang diagram. Within the circulating halo, faint illusions of changing seasons and day-night cycles were visible.

The Dao lines wrapped around Li Xiangyun suddenly burst forth with dazzling brilliance. He let out a long roar, his sound waves transforming into a swarm of yin-yang fish swimming across the sky. Wherever they passed, the black mist dissipated like ice and snow meeting the sun.

In the Heavenly Abyss, the black mist that had once covered the sky began to recede at a visible speed. Moonlight penetrated through layers of haze, scattering upon this land that had been shrouded in darkness for so long.

The light of Yin-Yang Dao Intent continuously spread. Wherever it reached, vitality reappeared, the aura of death was dispelled, and the entire Heavenly Abyss regained its starlight. In the Void Realm where the black mist had dissipated, the celebratory sounds of Heaven and Earth’s resonance faintly echoed.

This phenomenon lasted for a long time, gradually fading only when the black mist completely disappeared.

And Li Xiangyun also opened his eyes, a smile playing on his lips.

At this moment, he felt an unprecedented power.

Not only because his injuries had healed, but also because he had comprehended the Dao Intent of water and fire, and even Yin-Yang Dao Intent.

Although it was still only a prototype, it was exceptionally powerful.

In addition, the Fusion of Dao Intent within his body had been resolved.

He used Sword Dao as a carrier to fuse the Yin-Yang Life-Death Sword Intent, gaining a brand new power – Yin-Yang Life-Death Sword Intent.

Now, he was confident he could break through Zhou Huanyu’s Domain with a single sword strike!

Li Xiangyun clenched his fist, extremely satisfied with his current state.

As for the Dao of Ice, it had not disappeared, but had integrated into the Dao Intent of water, or rather, into Yin-Yang Dao Intent, in another way.

He could use it whenever he wished.

Besides this, he encountered a brand new problem.

That is, logically speaking, Yin-Yang Dao encompasses all opposing Daos, such as water and fire, black and white, fast and slow, and life and death should also be included.

But when he tried to integrate The Dao Intent of Life and Death into Yin-Yang Dao Intent, he unexpectedly failed.

This feeling was very strange, as if The Dao Intent of Life and Death clearly belonged to Yin-Yang Dao, yet was independent of it.

This was very strange, but Li Xiangyun was confident that one day, he would solve this problem.

And this also made him realize that,

The Dao is boundless; there are still many principles in this world waiting for him to understand and comprehend…
