152: Influence of Enlightenment

“Thank you, Fellow Daoist, for your sermon!”

Just as Li Xiangyun was still pondering, to his surprise, Tang Fu suddenly slid to his feet in front of him, hugged his thigh, and shouted.

At this moment, Tang Fu truly wanted to cling to Li Xiangyun’s leg.

As a witness over these past few days, Tang Fu had personally seen Li Xiangyun grasp the Water-Fire Dao Intent from nothing, then the Yin-Yang Dao Intent, and finally evoke the Heavenly Dao’s resonance.

Therefore, only he clearly knew just how Heaven-Defying Li Xiangyun was.

And he had no doubt that as long as Li Xiangyun could continue to grow, he would one day stand at the pinnacle of this world!

So, if not now to cling to his leg, then when?

As for Tang Fu’s words, Li Xiangyun was initially a bit confused, until Tang Fu briefly recounted everything that had just happened.

This surprised and shocked Li Xiangyun; he hadn’t expected his unconscious actions just now to cause such a huge stir.

After all, when he spoke the first sentence, inspired by his feelings, he lost all perception of the outside world and instead became immersed in a mysterious space filled with yin-yang fish.

He was comprehending the profound and abstruse Way of Yin and Yang within it.

Therefore, regarding the scene Tang Fu described, he didn’t know if it was good or bad.

However, for now, because of the Heavenly Dao’s manifestation, the existence of the Abyss temporarily dared not appear.

This gave him more time to stay in the Abyss.

After all, his injuries had already healed, and his strength had greatly improved, so it was time to go see the “gift” Cang Lanzi spoke of.

And what kind of “gift” could it be, one that Cang Lanzi described as a near-death experience?

He was actually a little excited… A confident smile curved Li Xiangyun’s lips… Meanwhile, although the enlightenment had ended.

The impact of this event was still fermenting and far exceeded Li Xiangyun’s imagination.

To say nothing of distant places, just within the Abyss, the Cultivators originally harbored considerable resentment, even hatred, towards “Li Xiangyun.”

After all, because of Li Xiangyun’s enlightenment, the dark night in the Abyss lasted for four days without dissipating, forcing them to stay in their Immortal Caves, unable to go anywhere.

But when the sound of the sermon spread throughout the entire Abyss, this resentment vanished in an instant, replaced by deep gratitude.

Because not only Tang Fu, but many Cultivators had also seized this opportunity to grasp a Breakthrough opportunity.

And compared to a Breakthrough opportunity, what did a mere four days of “house arrest” count for?

Of course, if it relied solely on Li Xiangyun’s power, it certainly wouldn’t have had such an effect.

The reason for such a great impact was also due to the Heavenly Dao’s pushing and assisting.

All along, the land of the Abyss, as the boundary between life and death, where life and death were abnormal and the Great Dao was chaotic, had been in a state of being unregulated.

It wasn't until Li Xiangyun's enlightenment that all of this changed.

After all, Yin-Yang Dao is inherently the Origin Great Dao of the Universe, and it manifested in a highly special place like the Abyss.

Therefore, the Heavenly Dao had the opportunity to use Li Xiangyun’s enlightenment to lock onto this world.

And Li Xiangyun’s sermon was both a reward and a blessing from the Heavenly Dao, and also the Heavenly Dao bestowing grace upon this world through Li Xiangyun’s mouth, harmonizing Yin and Yang.

Thus, this dark Abyss, after tens of millions of years, finally welcomed a brilliant and shining starry sky.

At the same time, the changes in the Abyss, along with the news of the sermon, spread throughout numerous Star Domains.

After all, although there was only one Abyss, there were countless entrances to it.

Therefore, almost everyone who came to the Abyss basically came from different immortal Cultivation planets.

For a time, numerous Star Domains vibrated in unison, and all forces were dispatched, wanting to find this person who achieved enlightenment.

In addition, countless old monsters hidden in various worlds also received this news.

On the shore of the North Sea, a small black-awning boat was anchored on the blue waves. At the bow, an old man, wearing a bamboo hat and a coarse linen coir raincoat, held a bamboo fishing rod with its line, thin as a hair, dangling in the water, yet glinting with an almost imperceptible golden light in the sun.

The sea surface was as smooth as a bronze mirror, and the warm sunlight, piercing through the clouds, wove a shimmering golden net on the water.

Several white gulls circled the boat, occasionally snatching broken biscuits flicked from the old man's fingertips. When a gentle breeze brushed by, it only caused a few ripples at the stern, not even stirring the hem of his coir raincoat in the slightest.

However, if one cast their gaze a hundred miles away, the scene was like two different worlds.

Leaden-gray clouds pressed extremely low, as if to push the sea surface into the seabed. Fierce winds, carrying shards of ice, howled, whipping up giant waves a thousand zhang high. Water spraying from the breaking wave crests instantly froze into ice prisms, like ten thousand sharp swords shooting towards the sky.

Faintly visible were several sea Dragons, over a thousand zhang long, thrashing in the waves, yet their scales were torn off by the fierce winds, emitting mournful wails.

Even deep purple lightning streaked through the cloud curtain; each flash that struck the sea surface exploded into charred whirlpools a hundred zhang in diameter.

Suddenly, the fishing rod in the old man’s fingertips went taut, and the fishing line hummed like a Dragon’s roar.

He looked at the fading phantom of the yin-yang fish in the sky, his cloudy eyes suddenly brightening. He lightly patted the water surface with his withered hand, and the entire sea surface actually churned up giant waves a zhang high.

“The Dao of Yin and Yang has appeared; the anomaly has finally emerged.”

“The heavens are about to change…” The old man reeled in his hook; a snow-white Dragon carp hung from it, its scales still bearing traces of ancient Restrictions.

He threw the Dragon carp into the bamboo basket, then looked up at the churning storm a hundred miles away, a slight smile curving the corner of his mouth visible beneath his bamboo hat:

“After ten thousand years of commotion, this bit of wind and waves isn’t enough to go with wine.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the wine gourd at his waist suddenly shook, and the wine spewing from its mouth transformed into a rainbow bridge in the air. One end connected to the small boat, while the other actually stretched towards that area of fierce wind and giant waves.

And in the depths of that stormy sea area, the Nether Sea Demonic Dragon, which he had suppressed for 120,000 years, was currently sleeping.

In a dilapidated temple south of a certain city, a beggar, gnawing on half a steamed bun, suddenly froze.

The scar across his nose twitched slightly, and his mud-stained fingers quickly sketched on the ground, instantly drawing a distorted yin-yang diagram.

Several children were throwing stones at him, but they saw the stones strangely spinning in mid-air, finally all hitting their own foreheads.

“Little ones, go home when you’ve had enough fun.” The beggar chuckled, pulling off his tattered outer robe to reveal a brocade lining embroidered with sun, moon, and stars.

He shook his sleeves, and countless copper coins suddenly fell from mid-air, but they turned to dust before hitting the ground: “That old geezer who gambled the Luck of heaven and earth with me back then, it’s time for him to crawl out of his coffin and wake up.”

In a butcher shop on the west side of a certain city, the butcher was swinging a thousand-jin heavy ghost-head saber, but sparks flew when the blade struck pig bone.

He looked at the Tai Chi pattern that had spontaneously formed from the pig blood on the chopping block, a ferocious smile appearing on his fleshy face. He kicked over the entire chopping block, and the three-hundred-jin fat pig floated like a leaf to the corner of the wall.

“Yin and Yang generate each other, hardness and softness complement each other… This saber, it has rusted for too long.”

The butcher tore off his blood-stained apron, revealing a back covered in saber scars like coiling Dragons. Each scar was inlaid with an ancient saber inscription.

He grabbed the butcher knife he had used for fifty years from beside the block. Black blood suddenly seeped from the blade, carving a ten-foot-wide gully in the ground: “That old scoundrel whose immortal bones I severed with a single strike back then, it’s time to take out your Yin and Yang techniques and practice them again.”
