195: Chapter 225 The Terror of the Necromancer

Jiang Ling's pupils constricted suddenly. Was this the thing the God Worship Cult had summoned?

If that was the case, it would be quite troublesome.

Seeing Jiang Ling and the others, the Necromancer let out a series of cackling laughs and spoke via Soul transmission: "Three fine bodies, just right to become my servants!"

"You wouldn't happen to be the famous Medusa, would you?"

"Haha..."

"If you also become my servant, my strength will increase significantly!"

...

The Necromancer waved his staff, chanting under his breath.

Instantly, the corpses on the ground began to move. The bodies of the God Worship Cult members and the Great Xia soldiers all turned into something like zombies in an instant.

Eerie light flickered in their eye sockets as they charged toward Jiang Ling and his companions, wielding various weapons.

Seeing this, Jiang Ling's eyes nearly split with rage. Even after the Great Xia soldiers had died, their bodies were being used as tools by this Necromancer, denied their final rest.

It was absolutely loathsome!

A cold light flashed in Jiang Ling's eyes. With a swing of the blood transformation divine saber, a sharp burst of Saber Qi instantly slashed toward the zombies.

The zombies were instantly hacked into pieces by the Saber Qi, but even more of them swarmed forward in an endless stream.

They had no consciousness or Souls; they only knew to obey the Necromancer's commands and continue the slaughter.

Alicia raised her hands, and a massive ball of fire ignited within them.

She pushed the flames forward, and they instantly spread out to form a wall of fire, blocking the zombies.

Scorched by the flames, the zombies let out series of shrill cries, yet they did not retreat. Instead, they charged at the fire wall even more frantically.

Alicia was a Rank Seven Fire Element Ability user, yet her flames couldn't instantly destroy these zombies, which showed just how powerful the Necromancer was.

Medusa stood to the side, her eyes fixed on the Necromancer. The venomous snakes in her hair began to writhe, letting out hissing sounds.

Suddenly, a beam of light shot from her eyes toward the Necromancer. Sensing the danger, he quickly waved his staff and released a dark shield to block Medusa's attack.

Seeing the zombies increasing in number and possessing extreme combat power and defense, Jiang Ling knew they couldn't continue like this.

He decided to use the Yuqing Divine Thunder.

He closed his eyes, concentrating his energy and sensing the power of lightning and thunder around him.

A moment later, he opened his eyes and pointed the blood transformation divine saber toward the sky. A bolt of lightning descended from the heavens, striking the blade.

The blood transformation divine saber was instantly enveloped in the power of lightning, emitting a dazzling light.

Jiang Ling swung the saber, sending a powerful surge of lightning toward the zombies. The lightning power instantly shattered them into piles of broken bones.

Jiang Ling's Divine Thunder carried the aura of heavenly punishment, which had a restraining effect on such sinister undead creatures.

Therefore, its power was actually greater than Alicia's flames.

Seeing the zombies he controlled being easily destroyed, the Necromancer was infuriated.

He waved his staff again, and series of black hexagram arrays appeared as he began his summoning technique.

Amidst the bursts of light, an endless wave of skeletons appeared first.

Eerie ghost fires, seemingly from Hell, flickered within their hollow eye sockets.

The skeletons' bodies were a deathly pale color, their bones emitting a decayed aura under the erosion of dark magic.

They marched with stiff steps, wielding rusted swords and battered shields. Every movement was accompanied by the bone-on-bone grinding sound of creaks and groans, making one's skin crawl.

Some skeletons still bore fragments of shattered armor—armor that once symbolized honor and courage, now reduced to ornaments of death.

Next, various undead creatures emerged. There were small but agile Undead Rats with blood-red eyes and sharp teeth, scurrying across the ground and letting out disgusting squeaks.

There were also ghosts floating in the air, their translucent bodies flickering in and out of sight, emitting a chilling aura.

The ghosts let out mournful wails, as if recounting the pain and resentment of their past lives. They could pass through objects and approach enemies silently, bringing unexpected terror.

But the most terrifying were the undead monsters.

Among them was a massive Bone Dragon, its body pieced together from countless bones, its huge wings seemingly capable of blotting out the sky when unfurled.

Blue flames burned on the Bone Dragon's skull—the fury of the world of death. Its roar was as deafening as thunder, and every beat of its wings stirred up a gale.

The Bone Dragon's claws were incredibly sharp, able to easily tear through solid city walls.

There was also an Undead Giant Bear as massive as a small hill. Its body was covered in thick bone armor, each piece as hard as steel.

The Undead Giant Bear's eyes gleamed with a blood-red light, filled with a desire for violence and slaughter. Its strength was immense; a single swipe of its paw could smash a large crater into the ground.

In addition, there were some bizarrely shaped undead creatures: some like giant spiders crawling on sharp, long legs, others like evil treants with twisted branches emitting the aura of death.

Under the Necromancer's summons, these undead creatures formed a terrifying Legion of Death, bringing endless fear and despair to the land.

Seeing this, Jiang Ling gasped in shock.

This Necromancer was way too powerful, wasn't he?

He was practically a one-man army!

At the Necromancer's command, the undead creatures surged toward Jiang Ling and his group like a torrential tide.

The first to charge were the Skeleton Soldiers, marching with stiff steps and wielding rusted weapons, making bone-chilling creaking sounds.

Jiang Ling gritted his teeth and swung the blood transformation divine saber, sending a sharp burst of Saber Qi toward the Skeleton Soldiers.

Wherever the Saber Qi passed, the Skeleton Soldiers were hacked into pieces, scattering on the ground. But even more Skeleton Soldiers swarmed forward, seemingly endless.

Seeing this, Alicia raised her hands, and a massive fireball condensed in her palms. She pushed the flames forward, and they instantly spread out, forming another surging wall of fire that blocked the Skeleton Soldiers.

This wall of fire was even more powerful than the last, incorporating Alicia's Incineration skill.

The temperature reached a terrifying level!

The high heat of the flames caused the Skeleton Soldiers' bones to catch fire, making crackling sounds. Some Skeleton Soldiers tried to cross the wall of fire but were instantly turned to ash by the burning flames.

However, the undead creatures were not limited to Skeleton Soldiers. Those small but agile Undead Rats also took the opportunity to charge from the sides.

Their eyes were blood-red, and their sharp teeth were bared as they scurried quickly across the battlefield.

Jiang Ling reacted quickly, his figure flashing like lightning as he charged toward the Undead Rats. The blood transformation divine saber danced in his hands, forming an impenetrable defense, with every strike accurately hitting an Undead Rat.

Under the attacks of the blood transformation divine saber, the Undead Rats were sliced in half one after another, their black blood splattering onto the ground.
