Chapter 127 Heading to Wushan Mine

Chapter 127 Heading to Wushan Mine
"You're awake. I saw you were too sleepy last night so I didn't call you."

Just as Zhang Cheng was thinking, the office door was suddenly pushed open, and Mayor Justin just walked in.

"You have won back a treasure for the Federation this time!"

Zhang Cheng was taken aback by Justin's words, "Honey? What is Mayor Justin referring to?"

Justin couldn't help laughing happily: "Mr. Buck! You may not know how effective Mr. Buck can be."

"Oh? I would like to hear more about it." Hearing what Justin said, Zhang Cheng immediately became interested, and stared at Justin curiously.

"Mr. Barker is not an ordinary researcher of the Empire, he is an honorary researcher of the Empire's lifetime professor! You know, the entire empire is so big, and there are only three people who can receive the honor of lifetime professor."

"Only three people?" Zhang Cheng was also shocked, and immediately understood that Old Buck looked like an ordinary old man, but his status in the scientific research community was really not light.

No, it cannot be said that it is not serious, it can even be said to be authoritative.

"However, although he has now joined the Federation and is about to settle down in the survivor camp, Old Buck has retired and may not be able to help the Federation too much." Zhang Cheng wanted to pour cold water on Justin so that he would not expect The bigger the bigger the disappointment.

But who would have thought that Justin laughed loudly: "Mr. Buck's love for scientific research is beyond your imagination. For Mr. Buck, scientific research is not only a job, but also a place that reflects the value of his life. Dedicated to scientific research, Mr. Barker has no regrets."

Old Buck's voice came from outside the door: "That's right, I have agreed to join the Federation of Science and Technology. Mayor Justin promised to give me the greatest research freedom and will not interfere with my research projects and research progress."

"This is much better than the Imperial Laboratory. If I had known this, I might have sneaked to the Federation with my granddaughter."

As he said that, Old Buck laughed. The smile was very hearty and comfortable. It could be seen that Old Buck was really happy.

"Mr. Buck, you just escaped a narrow escape yesterday. You have to cultivate yourself these few days. There is no rush for the Science and Technology Association."

Justin was really worried about Old Buck's body. After all, he was getting old and couldn't stand such a big heat.

"Thank you Mayor Justin for your concern, but I promised my little friend to take him out to find something."

"It's okay, old Buck. I can go there by myself. The Wushan Mine is only that big. You also pointed out the general direction. I should be able to find it by myself."

Zhang Cheng now also knows the important strategic value of Old Buck, subconsciously he is unwilling to let Old Buck go to the wild where there may be danger.

Old Buck himself didn't think so: "I have gone back and forth to the Wushan Mine for countless times, and with your skill, little friend, you can escape with me even from the heavy siege of the imperial army. What is there to worry about?"

"But……"

Zhang Cheng wanted to say something more, but Old Buck said first: "Let's go to Wushan Mine today, and go back early."

Zhang Cheng couldn't hold back his attention and looked at Mayor Justin. Seeing Old Buck's firm attitude, Justin finally had no choice but to nod in agreement.

"Well, I will send a special force to protect Mr. Buck, and you too. Be careful not to put Mr. Buck in danger. If you have any problems, just tell me, and I will help you solve them."

"understand!"

"Then let's go, Mr. Barker."

"I'll go together too. I often go to the Wushan Mine too. I know the way!" Lina suddenly appeared out of nowhere and said to everyone.

"There's no need for Lena. We're just looking for something. You can find our home in the Federation. I'm not as good as you, old man." Old Buck rejected Lena's proposal.

Lina agreed on the surface, but it could be seen that she was still a little worried.

Zhang Cheng knew that she was worried about Old Buck's safety, so he comforted him: "Miss Lina, don't worry, I will definitely bring your grandpa back safely."

"Although I don't know what you are looking for, I can't restrict what you do. I have arranged a helicopter for you to send you directly to the Wushan Mine."

……

Half an hour later, the figures of Zhang Cheng and Old Buck appeared in the depths of Wushan Mine.

"Old Buck, when was the last time you saw that old man? Could it be that he doesn't live here anymore?"

"About more than four months ago, when Lina and I fled to the Osan Mine, I saw him once. As for whether he still lives here, I really dare not say, after all, this kind of In an environment where accidents can happen at any time, it’s not uncommon to abandon a residence.”

Zhang Cheng and Old Buck were standing in a cave at the moment. It seemed that this place used to be the residence of some kind of wild animals, but now it was full of traces of human existence.

Rags, iron pots, wooden beds...

"Then we'll continue to wait here? What if the old man doesn't come back?"

Old Buck replied: "No, it is absolutely impossible for him to stay outside the Wushan Mine at night, and he will definitely return to the cave."

Zhang Cheng also immediately figured it out: "Then we'll wait until the evening at most. If we haven't come at night, we can go back directly."

"it is good."

It didn't take long for Zhang Cheng and Old Buck to take over, and the person they were waiting for had already returned.

"Doyle! You are back."

A half-century old man wearing beast leather armor walked into the cave, and his half-exposed arms were covered with various scars.

The old man in leather armor was obviously taken aback when he saw Old Buck, and then he burst into laughter: "Buck! Why are you here? Are you being chased by the imperial army again?"

The expression of the old man in leather armor suddenly changed: "Where is Lina? Lina won't have already..."

"Nothing," Old Buck hurriedly interrupted Doyle: "Lena and I have now joined the Federation of Survivors, and Lena is now in the Federation."

"You joined the Federation? This is a good choice for you and Lena. By the way, who is this?"

Doyle cast his eyes on Zhang Cheng, and Zhang Cheng announced his name: "Hello, my name is Zhang Cheng, and I am a friend of Old Buck."

Old Buck echoed from the side: "That's right, you don't know, before Lina was captured by the empire to be an experimental product, thanks to my little friend who risked his life yesterday and rescued the two of us from the empire's laboratory."

"Rescued from the laboratory? That can only show that you are really lucky, and the young man's strength must be very good."

Doyle looked at Zhang Cheng with admiration: "Then Buck, why did you come to see me today?"
