125: Let's go! Yunzhou, Qixia Town

(Finally out of the Novice Village! Throwing flowers...)

In the side courtyard of the government office, beside a small teleportation array!

Xu Shian, Village Chief, and Jia Hu stood here.

"We belong to the East Dragon Empire, a fact you are aware of. The East Dragon Empire has a total of nine provinces; each province governs nine cities, including one royal city and eight main cities. You may choose any one city to teleport to..."

Xu Shian stepped onto the teleportation array, and the available destinations immediately fanned out before his eyes.

"Central Province is the hub of the empire, with fertile plains and fields, where the dragon energy converges at the imperial capital, Changan City; Lin Province is a land of bitter cold, with ice fields and snow mountains, and a fierce populace; its royal city is Winter City; Yue Prefecture is a humid rainforest filled with poisonous swamps and pervasive witchcraft, with its royal city set at Baiyue City; Yan Province is a vast sea of sand, with Gobi deserts and oases, a necessary route for trade, and its royal city is Golden Sand City; Ze Province has a crisscrossing network of waterways, a land of fish and rice, prosperous in trade, and its royal city is Jinling City; You Province connects grasslands and mountains and is the East Dragon Empire's primary source of soldiers, with its royal city set at Yanping City; Shu Province has towering mountains and jagged rocks, easy to defend and difficult to attack, with its royal city set at Jiange City; Hai Province consists of coastal peninsulas and archipelagos, where maritime trade and pirates coexist, and its royal city is Zhenhai City; Yun Province has four seasons on a single mountain, with different weather every ten miles, and borders many countries, with its royal city set at Canglan City."

Listening to Village Chief's introduction, Xu Shian compared them with the nine provinces on the teleportation array and clicked on them to view them one by one!

"Are there good and bad distinctions among these different provinces?"

Village Chief shook his head. Although he really wanted to send this scourge away quickly, he was, after all, facing the current number one player in the game.

Moreover, judging from the situation when fighting the boss, if they really turned hostile, it was hard to say who would kill whom.

Therefore, his explanation was quite patient!

"For us... indigenous people, the closer to the center of power, the better! But for players, it is all the same for now!"

All the same for now...

Xu Shian chewed on this sentence inwardly!

If Xu Shian had not obtained Hu Zhihao's notebook, he would probably be fine going anywhere now, as he couldn't tell the difference just by looking at the names...

However, Xu Shian, who had cheated, was different after all!

After a moment of thought, Xu Shian clicked on Yun Province and turned his gaze to the several cities governed by Yun Province.

He wasn't considering the royal city for now, so let it be Qixia Town!

Looking back at the Village Chief and Jia Hu, Xu Shian smiled softly!

Click, teleport!

A series of notification sounds rang continuously in Xu Shian's ears.

After a cheap special effect, Xu Shian was already standing on a city teleportation array in a strange place.

He didn't have time to observe this new city—the second hometown where he might stay for many years to come.

Xu Shian first turned back and clicked on the teleportation array, discovering that he could still teleport to other cities.

Teleporting between main cities within Yun Province cost 5 Gold Coins per time.

To teleport to the royal city of Yun Province, it cost 10 Gold Coins per time.

And the price for cross-province teleportation was more expensive, 50 Gold Coins per time.

Of course, this price meant nothing to the current Xu Shian!

But this opportunity for cross-province teleportation seemed to be stopped for a long, long time later...

Recovering his thoughts, Xu Shian finally began to carefully observe Qixia Town before him.

"Greetings, my lord. First time in Qixia Town? Do you need to buy a map of Qixia Town?"

"What is the price?"

"One Gold Coin!"

Xu Shian looked at the person who came to promote the map. He was in his thirties, smiling with a servile expression.

He looked like an honest and dutiful person!

"Let me see it!"

"This..."

"Forget it if you can't!"

"Fine! Look, I'll let you see it right now..."

Xu Shian flipped through it roughly. It contained not only the city layout of Qixia Town but also the distribution of wild monsters outside the city, mining resources, and Dungeon situations!

Not bad!

After giving the other party one Gold Coin, the middle-aged man walked away with a grin!

Following the guide on the map, Xu Shian arrived at the largest restaurant in Qixia Town, 【Yunhexuan】!

"Guest, are you here to eat or stay at the inn?"

Checking the time, it was already approaching noon.

"Eat first, then stay at the inn!"

"Alright!"

Before long, the waiter brought a menu over...

This made Xu Shian feel novel. This world was so incongruous everywhere...

For example, here was a waiter with yellow hair and black skin serving Xu Shian as he ordered food.

Over there, two one-meter-tall Gnomes were chatting away...

Seeing Xu Shian looking over there, the waiter asked curiously.

"Guest, are you a new player?"

"Yes!"

"You made it to the main city in just half a month?"

"Is that fast?"

The waiter was stunned.

"I really can't tell, after all, I'm just a runner..."

"What's going on with those two over there?"

As he spoke, Xu Shian handed over a Silver Coin, then lifted his chin to gesture toward the two over there.

"Those are the 【Gnome】 race. When the worlds merged two hundred years ago, they fled from their own world to ours! Because they are proficient in Engineering and the race produces many mages, and they are not aggressive, they stayed in our world. Now they are a separate race, basically similar to our indigenous people!"

"Didn't you say you were just a runner? How do you know so clearly?"

"Their main city is at the 【Cloud Top Snow Mountain】 on the border of Yun Province, separating the East Dragon Empire and the Southern Barbarian Kingdom... That's why we often see traces of Gnomes within Yun Province!"

Oh...

"Are there any other alien races here?"

"Occasionally, you can see Dwarves and Goblins. Besides that, there are the Orcs in the Southern Barbarian lands..."

"Are there any from the Elf Race?"

The waiter revealed a lewd expression that all men understand!

"Yes! But we've only heard of them here in Yun Province; we've never seen them!"

"Where are they?"

The waiter showed a troubled expression. This was putting a runner in a difficult spot...

Xu Shian understood. It seemed nothing could be asked.

He ordered a few signature dishes from the restaurant, costing one Gold Coin and forty-two Silver Coins!

He felt that coming to the main city, the prices were shockingly expensive!

Xu Shian looked at his own 【soul sand grains: 88921 points】.

Looking at the Gnomes over there again, Xu Shian felt his eyes glowing green...

Proficient in Gnome Engineering, possessing their own main city and complete inheritance!

Aren't these my chosen workers?

However, this candidate needs to be carefully selected. It would be best to inquire around and find someone who also has a talent for Engineering!

Xu Shian actually wanted to kill their leader and slowly infiltrate this race to make them his own people.

Unfortunately, he probably couldn't beat them with his current strength!

Besides, this Dwarf race...

Just by the name, one knows they are good at blacksmithing and mining!

The waiter was a bit ambiguous about this part...

However, these are all matters for the next step!

The most important thing now is to figure out why Hu Zhihao said that Yun Province is the most suitable place for early development...
