140: Building a Cultivation Family

Lu Chen stood up from the Dragon Transformation Pool, water droplets dripping from his hair.

After his three Meridians were unblocked, his five senses became exceptionally sharp.

He was sure that people from Lu Family Village were looking for him.

He quickly walked through the narrow cave, and suddenly, the view opened up before him.

He saw scattered torches at the foot of the mountain moving in the night, like a winding fiery Dragon.

Lu Chen took a deep breath, gathered his Internal Energy, and shouted, "I'm here!" His voice echoed through the mountains, startling a few night birds.

The torchlights quickly converged on him.

When the torchlight shone on Lu Chen's face, everyone gasped — after seven days, the young man had been reborn, his height and physique having grown a full size.

Liu Xiaohua was the first to rush forward, her eyes red, her bun disheveled, crying and pounding on Lu Chen's chest: "Where did you go? Where did you go! Do you know how worried I was about you? Do you know how long the whole village has been looking for you?"

By the end, she couldn't control herself and burst into tears.

Lu Chen's heart warmed, and he gently wiped away Liu Xiaohua's tears. He could feel his aunt's body trembling: "I'm sorry, Auntie, it's all my fault for making you worry. I won't ever do this again."

Just then, the village chief, Village Chief, rushed over, sweat beads on the old man's forehead: "It's good that you're safe, it's good that you're safe."

Lu Chen looked around at everyone and said solemnly: "Village Chief, there's still the corpse of a Sha Zheng (Malevolent/Fierce Beast) in this cave. Its flesh has mostly been eaten by me, but its fur and bones are still intact and should fetch a good price."

"What? There's still one?" Village Chief was both surprised and delighted, his eyes wide. "Quick, quick, everyone go in and take a look!" The villagers also became excited at the news.

"Wait," Lu Chen stopped everyone. "Besides the Sha Zheng (Malevolent/Fierce Beast), there's also a Dragon Transformation Pool deep inside the cave. I Cultivated in it for seven days, and the effect is hundreds of times better than medicinal wine. Everyone can fetch some of the pool water to take back."

Upon hearing this, Village Chief immediately went to check it himself. When he scooped up a handful of pool water and wiped his body with it, his expression suddenly changed.

The effect contained in this pool water was ten times stronger than the medicinal wine bought at a great price!!

Village Chief solemnly looked around at everyone: "Possessing a treasure makes one guilty. This matter must not be spread! Otherwise, our entire village will face utter destruction!"

After returning to Lu Family Village, Lu Chen did not hide his fortuitous Opportunity and told Village Chief everything.

"Village Chief, when I was Cultivating, I discovered something strange. A dragon diagram appeared in my Sea of Consciousness. Even more miraculously, whenever I circulate the Iron Shirt Technique, this Dragon comes alive and transforms into a shimmering golden Dragon!"

Upon hearing this, Village Chief's tobacco pipe dropped to the ground with a "clatter."

The old man tremblingly grabbed Lu Chen's shoulders, his voice changing pitch: "Heavens! This is… this is the Awakening of a second Cultivation pathway! And it's the Dragon, the most difficult to Cultivate among the twelve zodiac signs!" His beard trembled with excitement. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime talent! And you're self-taught, even fusing it with a metal-element Cultivation Technique to form a Golden Dragon! This will be of immeasurable help to your future path of immortal Cultivation!"

Fortunately, he had consulted the village chief in time, otherwise, he would not have known the profound mysteries contained within.

However, it was a pity that although Village Chief was knowledgeable, he only knew a little about the Dao of Dual Cultivation, let alone the legendary Three Cultivation methods.

These profound Cultivation theories could probably only be systematically learned at the Flying Cloud Martial Arts Academy.

"Village Chief, I have a bold idea." Lu Chen pondered for a moment, then his eyes suddenly lit up. "Our Lu Family Village has lived in Mang Mountain for thousands of years. Perhaps there's already something special in our Bloodline; otherwise, how could I comprehend the dragon diagram as soon as I touched it? I want to draw the dragon diagram and let every martial artist in the village copy and study it. Perhaps… others can also open a second Cultivation pathway!"

Upon hearing this, Village Chief excitedly slapped his thigh: "Good boy! I truly didn't misjudge you! The first thing you thought of wasn't to monopolize the Opportunity, but the development of the entire village! Your broad-mindedness and vision truly move me. Tomorrow, I will use half of the village's savings to buy you the best tonics and meridian-opening Medicinal Pills to help you Breakthrough to the extraordinary realm as soon as possible!"

Lu Chen did not refuse: "Then I thank the Village Chief."

This civilization was different from previous civilizations; in previous civilizations, Cultivation relied entirely on talent.

However, in this civilization, Cultivation was extremely difficult. Besides talent, the most important thing was wealth. One needed to purchase a large number of Medicinal Pills, tonics, and Spirit Stones to complete Cultivation; otherwise, it would be impossible to advance.

The reason Lu Chen chose to give the dragon diagram to the village chief was that Lu Chen felt that if he wanted to live for five hundred years in this world, relying solely on individual strength would ultimately be limited.

If he could develop the entire Lu Family Village, create a Cultivation Family, and Cultivate batch after batch of strong practitioners, then his chances of survival would truly increase.

In the following days.

Lu Chen, despite being only twelve years old, became the instructor for the entire village.

Before him stood over a hundred members of the hunting team and dozens of children, all standing in neat rows, each person intently holding weapons or using their fingers, tracing the dragon diagram stroke by stroke in the air.

Lu Chen's voice was clear and strong: "Remember, the Dragon's head must be held high, its whiskers must be raised, and its claws must be sharp!" As he spoke, he demonstrated, his fingertips drawing golden trajectories in the air.

Although these trajectories vanished in an instant, they left the onlookers dumbfounded.

Lu Xiaohu scratched his head, a puzzled expression on his face: "Brother Lu Chen, why don't I just draw it on paper with a pen? If I draw it in the air, it disappears as soon as it's done. How can I remember it?"

His question resonated with many people.

Iron Mountain Lu, the captain of the hunting team, echoed: "Yes, Little Master Lu Chen, this method is too mysterious. We rough folk are still used to tangible things."

Lu Qingfeng, standing at the back of the crowd, snorted coldly.

As the village chief's son and the heir to the next village chief, he disdained learning from a twelve-year-old child. But due to his father's command, he had no choice but to report to the training ground every day.

At this moment, he finally found an Opportunity to vent his dissatisfaction.

"I think," Lu Qingfeng deliberately raised his voice, "you just don't want to genuinely teach us, and you're deliberately playing these mysterious tricks to make things difficult for people!"

Lu Chen stopped his movements: "Those who don't want to learn can leave now; those who want to learn, do as I say. Only when you can draw a complete dragon diagram using only your mind, without any tools, will the dragon diagram truly form in your Sea of Consciousness."

Lu Qingfeng scoffed: "Even if I learn this thing, what good is it? Is it really going to summon a Dragon?" He looked at Lu Chen provocatively, "Can you summon one to show us?"

"I cannot." Lu Chen answered frankly.

"Since you can't, then I'm not learning!" Lu Qingfeng turned and strode away from the training ground.

Having grown up constantly praised, he simply couldn't accept being bossed around by a twelve-year-old child.

Watching everyone in the village, even many girls, following Lu Chen to learn how to draw Dragons, Lu Qingfeng secretly vowed: "I will surpass Lu Chen one day! Definitely!!"
