37: Chapter 37 Old Zhou's Attitude!

Xu's Heavy Industry, Conference Room.

Zhu Deze raised his wrist and checked his watch. It was five o'clock in the afternoon.

He glanced again at Xu Hao, who was still in the middle of a heated discussion, as well as Professor Zhou Xuemin and the other professors, and smiled helplessly.

"Sigh, once they start discussing, Professor Zhou and the others completely lose all sense of time."

They had been discussing since noon and were still going, seemingly unaware of fatigue.

Zhu Deze truly could not understand the passion of these scientific researchers.

Sun Wencheng, who was beside him, saw his movement and spoke up with a weary expression: "Minister Zhu, if we keep waiting like this, it's going to be dark soon..."

They had arrived at Xu's Heavy Industry near noon, and now that an entire afternoon had passed, Professor Zhou and his team showed no signs of leaving.

Zhu Deze nodded, frowning slightly. The time had indeed dragged on too long, and Longdu was still waiting for his report.

"Well, that's enough." Zhu Deze stood up and walked slowly over to Professor Zhou. He gave a light cough and then called out softly: "Professor Zhou."

The sound of discussion stopped abruptly. Professor Zhou Xuemin frowned slightly and turned his head.

Following the sound, he saw it was Zhu Deze, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of State Security of Long Country, and his brow relaxed slightly.

"Minister Zhu, what is it?" Professor Zhou Xuemin asked. They were in the middle of a heated discussion.

"Look, it's getting quite late now, perhaps we should..." Zhu Deze said, pointing to the watch on his wrist.

Hearing this, Professor Zhou Xuemin took out his phone from his pocket and checked the time.

"Oh, it's already five o'clock." Professor Zhou Xuemin said, surprised; he clearly hadn't realized time had passed so quickly.

"Yes, the police officers outside are still on duty, and Longdu... is waiting for my report," Zhu Deze said directly.

Although Professor Zhou was the general Director for this operation, Zhu Deze belonged to the military, so... the mission came first.

At this moment, Xu Hao finally had a chance to catch his breath. His mouth was extremely dry. Seeing this, Wang Qian grabbed a bottle of mineral water, unscrewed the cap, and thoughtfully handed it to him.

"Chairman, have some water," Wang Qian said gently.

"Thank you." Xu Hao took the mineral water from Wang Qian and thanked her with a smile. He listened to Zhu Deze's words, his expression shifting slightly.

Professor Zhou Xuemin frowned. He understood what Zhu Deze meant, so he spoke directly in front of everyone: "Minister Zhu, I believe you have already investigated Mr. Xu Hao's background. In my opinion, the concerns held by the Security Department are completely unnecessary."

"The fact that Mr. Xu Hao was able to share such confidential core technologies with us without reservation already speaks volumes."

Professor Zhou Xuemin looked at Zhu Deze, then at the other professors from the Dragon Academy of Sciences present. Meeting Professor Zhou Xuemin's gaze, the other professors nodded solemnly.

"Minister Zhu, if you believe Mr. Xu Hao truly had such intentions, why would he sit idly by and teach us all these technologies without holding anything back?" Professor Zhou Xuemin asked rhetorically.

Professor Zhou Xuemin naturally understood why the higher-ups had required the Security Department to accompany the Dragon Academy of Sciences. It was undoubtedly to investigate the suspicion that Xu's Heavy Industry, or rather Xu Hao and his team, might sell or trade these technologies and weapon systems to other countries, or even transfer these technologies to foreign organizations.

However, from his in-depth exchange with Xu Hao just now, Professor Zhou Xuemin deeply felt Xu Hao's true intentions. Xu Hao... was genuinely willing to hand these technologies over to the Long Country authorities.

Whether it was showing them the design and construction blueprints from the beginning, or the subsequent technical exchanges and Q&A sessions, he had explained the difficulties and doubtful points of the key technologies to them one by one.

It could be said that they now almost understood the design principles of the A-225 Transport Aircraft, the Doomsday Vehicle, and more. If conditions permitted, they could even build them on their own.

If Xu Hao really had ulterior motives, why go to all this trouble?

Zhu Deze stood there, at a loss for how to respond.

Professor Zhou was the backbone of Long Country and had made tremendous contributions to the nation. From Long Country's first aircraft carrier to the J-20A stealth fighter and strategic submarines, Professor Zhou had participated in the R&D and manufacturing of them all, building a thick, defensive wall for Long Country's military and national defense. It was precisely this that had allowed Long Country's international status to gradually rise. Therefore, facing him, Zhu Deze dared not say much. He sighed softly. Since that was the case, he could only report the situation truthfully to Longdu. As for what the higher-ups would say, that was not something he needed to be concerned about.

Professor Zhou Xuemin turned his gaze back to Xu Hao, his expression softening, and asked: "Mr. Xu Hao, would it be possible to visit your workshop? This old man has seen those big guys in videos, but I'd still like to see them with my own eyes." Professor Zhou Xuemin laughed, his eyes filled with anticipation. The other professors and experts had similar expressions. Seeing something in person was always much more real than watching it through a screen.

Xu Hao nodded without hesitation. "Sure, no problem." Xu Hao stood up and led Professor Zhou and the others toward the workshop.

In the hallway, there was a police officer guarding every few meters. The interior of Xu's Heavy Industry now resembled a national defense underground project, with tight security.

"This is it." Arriving at the entrance of the workshop, Xu Hao gestured.

Professor Zhou Xuemin and the others walked into the workshop, and the first thing that caught their eyes was the massive Doomsday Vehicle they had seen in the videos.

"This... this is that dark gray, large-scale transport vehicle, right?" Professor Zhou Xuemin walked quickly into the workshop and approached the Doomsday Vehicle, the wrinkles on his face trembling slightly, overwhelmed with excitement.

"This is truly unimaginable; it was actually built. A heavy weapon of a great power... this is a heavy weapon of a great power!" Professor Zhou Xuemin stepped forward, caressing the cold armor of the Doomsday Vehicle, and exclaimed.

If such a transport vehicle were truly applied to real life, it would undoubtedly be a leap forward for the transportation industry.

He regained his composure and carefully examined the Doomsday Vehicle. Only by seeing it in person could one feel the domineering presence of this behemoth. Its dark gray metal shell contained a restrained sharpness. The vehicle body was incredibly massive, about ten meters high and forty meters long. In the front was a spacious cockpit, and in the back was the cargo hold for ore. The wheels were enormous; standing in front of one, Professor Zhou Xuemin reached out his hand but couldn't even reach the top edge of the wheel.

The more Professor Zhou Xuemin looked at it, the more he loved it. But at the same time, he secretly sighed at the pity of it. Such a domineering and formidable piece of equipment was actually being used as a prop for a science fiction movie? Sigh... what a waste of natural resources!

After finishing their look at the Doomsday Vehicle, Professor Zhou Xuemin and the others viewed the A-225 Transport Aircraft, and then came before the massive Powered Exoskeleton Mecha.

"Mr. Xu Hao, is this the Powered Exoskeleton Mecha you were talking to us about earlier?" Professor Zhou Xuemin pointed to the exoskeleton device and asked Xu Hao.

"That's right!" Xu Hao nodded.

The professors from the Dragon Academy of Sciences began to discuss and talk among themselves, focusing on the Powered Exoskeleton Mecha.

"The Powered Exoskeleton Mecha can perform tasks like transport, rescue, and heavy lifting; it has huge help and utility for daily disaster relief."

"That's right. When encountering post-disaster rescue work during natural disasters, having such a Powered Exoskeleton Mecha would greatly improve the efficiency of disaster relief."

"Furthermore, if this Powered Exoskeleton Mecha could be applied to the military, it would..." the professors from the Dragon Academy of Sciences discussed, their eyes shining with excitement.

The range of applications for the Powered Exoskeleton Mecha was vast. If this Powered Exoskeleton Mecha were completed, it would play a huge role.

Thinking of this, Professor Zhou Xuemin's expression shifted, and he asked again: "Engineer Xu, is this Powered Exoskeleton finished? Is it currently in the construction phase, or...?"

Xu Hao patted the Powered Exoskeleton Mecha, which was built from high-density titanium alloy, and smiled. "It's almost finished. How about... we find someone to go up and try it out?"

Hearing Xu Hao's words, everyone's faces lit up with joy. Xu Hao truly understood them; they were just hoping to see the capabilities of this Powered Exoskeleton Mecha with their own eyes.
