After watching Tanya's dramatic winking display end in complete failure, Khushi stood there in stunned disbelief. Her mind was racing, trying to process what she'd just witnessed.A seizure?

Tanya, don't get discouraged! I believe you're the absolute best at this. You can definitely get him! Don't let one setback throw you off your game!

Tanya's response came back almost immediately: Okay!

There was something about that simple reply that told Khushi her friend was gearing up for something big.

Tanya wasn't the type to back down from a challenge, especially not when her reputation was on the line this time.

Taking a deep breath to center herself, Tanya stepped forward with renewed determination.

She wasn't going to let some clueless guy make her look like an amateur.

If her subtle approach wasn't working, it was time to bring out the heavy artillery.

There was absolutely no way any red-blooded male could resist this kind of direct, obvious invitation.

She had used this exact same approach dozens of times before, and it had worked every single time without exception.

From her view point nearby, Khushi watched with growing excitement and anticipation on her face.

Khushi had heard rumours about this particular technique from her other friends.

It was supposed to be absolutely devastating, the kind of thing that made men forget their own names.

No guy had ever been able to resist it before nor Alex will be.

Quickly pulling out her phone again, Khushi opened the camera app and aimed it directly at Alex.

The moment he showed any sign of interest, any hint of that typical male reaction she was expecting, she would capture it all on video.

Once she had photographic evidence of Alex acting like a typical guy, she thought then she could show it to Riya and finally prove what kind of man this security guard really was.

This was it. This was the moment everything would come together.

But then Alex looked at Tanya with that same expression of genuine, innocent confusion that had been driving both women crazy all evening.

"Your tongue? Yeah now I think it does seem long to me, Is that some kind of birth defect?"

You need to find someone else for this job. I mean, don't get me wrong, I think he's absolutely gorgeous and I'd love to get to know him better under normal circumstances, but he's clearly not interested in what I'm offering."

With that devastating defeat, Tanya gathered up what remained of her shattered pride and left the bar, looking like she'd just lost a war.

As she walked away, she couldn't help but think about how attractive Alex really was.

Under different circumstances, she genuinely would have wanted to pursue him for real, not just as a favor to Khushi.

But what was the point when he seemed completely immune to her charms?
