Chapter 92: The Naughty Child

Back at his Lotus Crown Villa in Mumbai, Alex stared at the two large sacks of gold in his hand.The sight nearly made him burst out laughing.

"Two more big bags of gold at hand," he muttered, shaking his head. "After this I think, All of Vikram’s cash and assets are almost going to be depleted by me soon. I’ll have to find a new dealer target soon."

For now, he had no proper way to deal with such a massive amount of gold, so he simply left it in the villa.

After a quick shower, he stretched lazily at the bed and said to himself, "Time to sleep. Tomorrow, I’ll get back to my security shifts and keep accumulating hours for my next travel."

With that thought, he soon drifted off to deep sleep.

The next morning, Alex woke up, washed up, dressed neatly in his Security guard uniform, and drove his Bentley out of the villa.

On his way to work, he parked briefly near a roadside cafe to buy himself a cold coffee.

But as he was returning from buying his coffee, his expression suddenly darkened at the sight of his car from afar.

Not far away, a boy no more than eight or nine years old was climbing onto the hood of his Bentley.

The child was using both hands to pry at the iconic silver ’Flying B’ emblem fixed on the bonnet.

"Oh god, whose kid is this? Doesn’t he realize what he’s doing? That badge will cost more than his parents’ yearly salary, Stop!" one passer-by shouted at seeing the child on the hood.

"This brat must not have been disciplined properly. If his parents saw him now, they’d be furious for sure," another passer-by added, shaking his head at thinking of the consequences.

The people on the street were stunned seeing the boy daring.

The boy seemed completely fearless as he was continuously tugging at the emblem with a mischievous grin eagerly to tear it off like a toy.

"Hey, stop it, kid! Do you know what you’re messing with?" one passer-by shouted.

"That’s right! If your parents find out, they’ll thrash you for this!" another scolded.

But instead of backing down from the crowd, the child turned and made faces at the adults. "Lululululu! Mind your own business, oldies! You can’t control me!" he laughed.

He then continued yanking harder and harder and finally snapped the Bentley logo free.

Laughing as if he had done a great deed worthy of praise, he twirled it in his hands, and to make matters worse, he even scratched a circle into the car’s paint using the sharp edge of the badge.


"You fools! Mind your own business and don’t butt in my game," the boy sneered at the crowd.

Shaking their heads they left the child on his own, not daring to stay from the fear of being implicated by the car owner. When car owner would return to find the car condition he will surely be furious at the sight of it.

And sure enough by the time Alex rushed forward, the damage was already done to the car.

"This is my car," he shouted coldly to the child, his eyes narrowing.

Although the damage is negligible to him now, but still it was his money that is being wasted.

He grabbed the boy’s wrist firmly, snatching back the broken emblem from his hand.

The boy immediately let out a loud wail, crying at the top of his lungs.

"Help! Someone’s bullying me! This man is hitting a me!"

Pedestrians who hadn’t witnessed the earlier scene turned to look. Seeing a grown man gripping the wrist of a crying child, their expressions soon twisted with disapproval at Alex.

To them, it looked like a young man unfairly bullying a helpless kid.

Truly, people believe what they saw, the power imbalance was obvious at a glance, and judgmental eyes quickly shifted against Alex.

But before the crowd can exact his justice, there came the sudden shout from afar.

"Who are you? How dare you hurt my son! Let him go at once!"

A sharp-voiced middle-aged woman rushed over, her face full of fury.

The moment she saw Alex holding her child’s wrist, she screamed, "I’m warning you release him now or I’ll call the police!"

Her glare was full of hostility, as though Alex were some thug bullying an innocent child.

Alex frowned, then loosened his grip. The boy stumbled back by sudden drop fell hard onto the pavement, and immediately burst into tears and soon a bump began rising on his forehead.

"Mom! This man bullied me! He hurt me!" the child cried dramatically, twisting the story to his advantage, truly a schemer.

"You dare to bully my child?" the woman shouted, her voice cutting through the crowd like a blade.

"I bullied him?" Alex’s tone grew cold. "Do you even know what your son was doing just now?"

But the woman only grew more aggressive. "No matter what he did, he’s just a child! And you a grown man how dare you lay your hands on him? Utterly Shameful!"

Alex sneered. "Then hear this: your son didn’t just pry the logo off my car. He also scratched across the paint with it."

The woman blinked, then crouched slightly to ask her son, "Baby, did you scratch his car?"

The boy gave a careless nod, as if it were nothing.

"And that’s it?" the woman scoffed, straightening up. "Over a little thing like that, you’re bullying my son? You call yourself a man? You sure are petty beyond words."

She looked at Alex up and down with disdain.

In her eyes, a man in a security uniform couldn’t possibly own anything valuable.

What kind of car could he have? Probably a cheap second-hand Alto at best, she thought inwardly.

"My dear, you’ve done nothing wrong," she cooed, patting her son. "If anyone’s to blame, it’s this fellow for parking his car here. Otherwise, how could you have scratched it?"

The bystanders exchanged looks, some shaking their heads.

"Unbelievable... instead of teaching her child, she’s defending him."

"No wonder the boy turned out like this."

"This is the kind of parenting will surely spoil the kid rotten in future."

For a moment, the crowd was stunned into silence. Even those who had been ready to accuse Alex could only sigh at the woman’s twisted logic.
