97: Now that the big one can’t come out, let the small one come out to fill it

Abu Duo had been in a foul mood lately.

The Black Bone Tribe's contribution to the fall of Linyuan City was undeniable.

Yet, in the end, the elders decided to give the vanguard position to the White Shadow Division.

Why should those cowards, who only knew how to hide on eagles and shoot arrows, take the glory that the Black Bone Tribe warriors earned by cleaving city gates with bone blades and paving paths with their corpses?

If it weren't for the prophet in their tribe summoning the evil god's mount from the void, would the White Shadow Division have been able to invade the Great Xia's territory?

The thought of the White Shadow Division snatching away the most tender and pure infant souls first, to be offered as sacrifices to appease the evil god, filled Abu Duo with a surge of anger.

Those souls should have been the Black Bone Tribe's bargaining chip to solidify their covenant with the evil god and gain stronger void power!

And now, a group of ants not only dared to corner him in the passage but also killed his carefully trained Star Devouring Beast.

Unforgivable!!!

Abu Duo was enraged!

The black mist in the depths of the passage churned violently.

Abu Duo slowly emerged, stepping on scattered black bone fragments, his bone blade at his waist gleaming with a cold, eerie green light.

On his bare arms, black patterns wriggled like living things.

He lowered his head and glanced at the corpse of the Star Devouring Beast on the ground; green blood was still sizzling, corroding the earth.

The lingering fear in its lantern-sized eyes was like a thorn piercing his heart.

Only then did he finally raise his gaze for the first time, carefully scrutinizing the ants who had killed his pet.

His eyes swept over Lu Ming's sheathed straight saber at his waist, then over his tall but seemingly slender figure, and a hint of surprise flashed in Abu Duo's purple pupils.

"What a strong physique!"

"You are worthy of becoming my pet."

He took a step forward and tossed a chain at Lu Ming's feet.

"Put on this necklace, and you can avoid death."

The chain landed on the ground with a dull clang.

Twisted black runes were carved on its links, and it subtly seeped a foul-smelling black mist, as if countless tiny tentacles were wriggling on its surface.

Abu Duo looked down at Lu Ming with undisguised arrogance in his purple pupils.

For such an ant to become his pet was already the greatest favor.

"You want me to... wear this?" Lu Ming's smile grew even brighter.

Ming Kong and the others standing beside him felt a tremor in their hearts.

These seven or eight foreigners were truly bold!

They must have a screw loose in their heads, to immediately pick the fiercest one to provoke.

Lu Ming smiled and bent down to pick up the iron chain from the ground.

Seeing this, Abu Duo's gaze became even more disdainful.

Humans were truly spineless.

But then again, Great Xia was about to fall; when the nest is overturned, no eggs remain intact.

This young man was wise to recognize the times.

Alas, how uninteresting.

He had thought it would take a lot of effort to tame this human, but he turned out to be a cheap bone!

But the next second, his smile froze.

Lu Ming's figure suddenly vanished from his original spot.

Immediately after, a hand pressed against his forehead.

Bang!

A loud thud.

Abu Duo plummeted like a meteorite, his entire body crashing heavily onto the ground.

The ground exploded, and dust flew everywhere.

His head buzzed.

How dare he!

How could a dying ant dare to treat the great Commander Abu Duo like this!!!

Tear him apart!

I must tear him apart!

I want him to watch himself slowly become my blood meal!

Abu Duo's eyes were bloodshot with fury, and the black mist around him spread out as if alive.

Wherever it passed, the gravel on the ground visibly blackened and weathered, turning into handfuls of foul-smelling black ash.

"You deserve to die!!"

Abu Duo's roar was filled with incredulous rage, his purple pupils bloodshot from extreme anger.

He had never imagined that he would be held down by an ant; this was more humiliating than killing him!

The bone blade at his waist suddenly unsheathed, and black saber energy, wrapped in black mist, swept horizontally towards Lu Ming in front of him.

The saber wind was so fierce it could cleave cracks in the air, intending to cut this human in front of him in half at the waist.

But Lu Ming stood still, until the black saber energy was about to reach him.

His figure vanished again.

A whooshing sound came from his ear, and Abu Duo's pupils suddenly contracted, the black patterns all over his body instantly tensing straight.

He sharply turned sideways, trying to avoid the attack from behind him.

But his head was still struck by an immense force, and he was once again suppressed into the bottom of the pit like a kite with a broken string.

He wanted to struggle.

But the boot on the back of his head held him firmly down.

The immense force from the sole of the boot was as heavy as a mountain, pressing his head tightly into the gravel at the bottom of the pit.

It was a pure physical strength, devoid of any spiritual energy.

Abu Duo twisted his body frantically, veins bulging on his bare arms, black patterns wriggling violently like living things, trying to mobilize the void power within him to break free from the suppression.

But no matter how much force he exerted, the boot on the back of his head remained motionless.

Instead, as he struggled, the force increased a few points, causing his forehead to violently hit the gravel, and black blood flowed out.

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible! How could your strength be greater than mine!!!"

Abu Duo's purple pupils were filled with panic and rage.

His proud strength was so vulnerable before this human, which completely shattered his arrogance as a commander of the Black Bone Tribe.

Before he could react, Lu Ming's voice suddenly rang in his ear.

"Tsk tsk tsk, didn't you want to catch a pet? Why are you falling asleep already?"

Lu Ming directly picked up the iron chain and threw it in front of him with a clang.

"Put it on, or... die!"

Lu Ming's voice was laced with mockery, like cold needles, piercing Abu Duo's heart one by one.

He could clearly feel the immense force from the back of his head, but what was even more unbearable was this deep-seated humiliation.

Damn it, so failing to show off was this painful!

"I'm going to kill you! I'm going to kill you!"

Abu Duo completely succumbed to madness, ignoring the tearing pain within his body.

"Warriors of the Black Bone Tribe, tear this human apart for me!!!"

A dense sound of footsteps suddenly came from the depths of the passage, accompanied by heavy breathing and the clanging of metal.

Black figures rushed out from the black mist.

Each of them was burly, their bare arms also covered in black patterns, and bone blades gleaming with an eerie green light hung at their waists; they were indeed the warriors of the Black Bone Tribe!

"Commander!"

The leading Black Bone warrior's eyes instantly flashed with surprise when he saw Abu Duo being trampled at the bottom of the pit.

Immediately followed by endless rage, he pointed his bone blade fiercely at Lu Ming.

"You bastard, let go of our Commander!"

Lu Ming leaned down, patted Abu Duo's face, and scoffed.

"So the big boss isn't coming out now, sending the little ones to take the fall instead?"

Then, he picked up the iron chain from the ground.

With a click, he clasped it around Abu Duo's neck.

He pulled up Abu Duo, who was like a dead dog, and his gaze swept over the dense ranks of Black Bone Tribe soldiers.

"Tsk, following a big brother like this?"
