117: Black Dragon Mage
In the reception hall, the cheers were deafening.
Everyone was shouting one name.
"Arthur!"
The Adventurers' eyes were filled with reverence; it was the highest recognition of a strong person's power.
"Black Dragon Mage!"
Suddenly, someone shouted a title.
Gradually, more and more people shouted Black Dragon Mage, until it completely replaced the name "Arthur" and became the only sound in the reception hall.
"Black Dragon Mage! Black Dragon Mage! Black Dragon Mage!"
Arthur stood rooted to the spot, looking bewildered, his hands hanging awkwardly by his hips.
"Am I... famous now?"
The Black Dragon Spirit, who had hidden inside the mana heart when Darius appeared, now re-emerged from the body.
The Black Dragon Spirit flapped its small wings, hovering near Arthur's shoulder, listening to the echoing cheers, a look of enjoyment appearing on its dark dragon face.
"Listen, what beautiful and pleasant cheers."
"Whether this Lord is in the Elemental Realm or the real world, I am the most dazzling guy!"
With that, the Black Dragon Spirit extended its plump, small Dragon Claw, patted Arthur's ear, and said, "You can consider yourself basking in my glory. Otherwise, how could you have earned such a majestic and domineering title?"
Hearing this, the corner of Arthur's mouth twitched slightly. He shot the Black Dragon Spirit an annoyed glare and immediately prepared to leave the Adventurers Guild.
The cheers behind him continued, but they had nothing to do with Arthur.
"Wait a moment!"
Just as Arthur stepped out of the Adventurers Guild entrance, a voice calling him back came from behind.
Arthur stopped and turned around. The speaker was Calvin, the Captain of the Deep Blue Squad.
This Third-Tier Knight had quite a good reputation among Adventurers, and his social standing was equally high.
But Arthur wasn't fond of him at the moment.
If it hadn't been for the conflict between Calvin and Marcus, Arthur wouldn't have had to risk being discovered by Darius just to resolve the matter.
Although the matter ultimately concluded with Darius personally resolving it.
But the pain from that punch was very real.
"Is there something you need, Ca... Captain Calvin?"
Hearing Arthur's address, Calvin scratched his head a little awkwardly. He then looked around and said to Arthur, "There are too many people here; it's not a good place to talk."
"Your Excellency Arthur, might we move somewhere else to speak?"
Hearing this, Arthur frowned, feeling a little impatience rise in his heart, and was about to refuse immediately.
But Calvin was quick-witted. Seeing that Arthur intended to refuse, he quickly spoke up, interrupting Arthur before he could open his mouth: "This concerns the Dragon Clan, and the information is confidential. If Your Excellency Arthur is interested, please follow me."
"Oh?"
"The Dragon Clan?"
Hearing Calvin's words, Arthur's frown gradually smoothed out, while his mind raced with thoughts.
Legends about the Dragon Clan are widespread. You can hear stories of dragons being sung by almost every Bard you meet.
Evil dragons and princesses, dragon treasures, dragon rule... and the most talked-about stories of Dragon Slayers.
But to Arthur, these were secondary.
In Arthur's eyes, the so-called dragons were merely high-quality, rare synthesis materials.
Pure-blooded Dragons are Tier 6 Magical Beasts at birth, and can achieve Seventh-Tier Legend status upon adulthood.
Even Dragonborn with half-dragon blood, like Karish, can reach Tier 4 status when their maternal lineage is only Tier 2.
And just a few bones cut from Karish's body could easily grant Arthur high attribute values and powerful talents.
This made Arthur's desire for dragons reach its peak.
It must be said that Calvin's topic successfully piqued Arthur's interest.
Arthur sized up Calvin with interest. The other members of the Deep Blue Squad had already gathered around and were standing behind Calvin.
Especially Hebrew, whose gaze towards Arthur was filled with uncontrollable fervor.
As a fellow Mage, Hebrew understood Arthur's power better than the other members of the Deep Blue Squad.
So much so that Hebrew couldn't help but ask on the spot: "Your Excellency Arthur, do you have any plans to take on a disciple?"
As soon as he said this, not only Arthur but also the other members of the Deep Blue Squad looked at him with extremely strange eyes.
One must know that Arthur's public identity was that of a student currently enrolled in an Advanced Academy, only eighteen years old.
And what about Hebrew?
He was Calvin's classmate, having studied for a year at the Royal Mage Academy, and was now twenty-five years old.
Being able to become a Third-Tier Mage at the age of twenty-five, Hebrew was vastly ahead of his peers; he excelled in both natural talent and ability.
The fact that Hebrew genuinely respected him showed just how highly Arthur was regarded in his heart.
And this all stemmed from Arthur's previous displays of power.
Regarding Hebrew's slightly abrupt question, Arthur subconsciously wanted to refuse, but after seeing his Attribute Panel, he immediately changed his mind.

"Attributes like these classify him as an Elite Monster."
"Converting him into a Demon Kings Army member would be a good choice."
Thinking this, Arthur's idea immediately changed, but he feigned hesitation and refused aloud: "My Rank is not high enough to serve as a mentor."
"But if it's just to exchange insights and experiences, that is acceptable."
After being rejected by Arthur, Hebrew lowered his head in disappointment.
But soon, Hebrew broke free from his dejected mood.
Under the constant influence of the Discipline of Seeking Knowledge, Hebrew's heart would always maintain curiosity.
The primary motivation for maintaining curiosity, in turn, was a relatively positive mindset.
Therefore, indirectly, the Discipline of Seeking Knowledge turned out to be a practical tool for stabilizing emotions.
With that, Arthur looked at Calvin, smiled slightly, and continued, "I imagine no one would be uninterested in information concerning dragons, right?"
"I accept your invitation, Captain Calvin."
"As for now... where should we go to talk?"
Hearing this, Calvin looked pleased. He immediately signaled his other teammates and led Arthur out of the Adventurers Guild.
