331: Cangwu Secret 1

Following Elder Mu, Xu Yuan, guided by his continuous explanations, witnessed the thirty-six peaks of the Outer Court before arriving at the Outer Court Elder Peak, where he took a teleportation array to enter the mysterious Inner Court.

Upon entering the Inner Court, Xu Yuan felt as if he had stepped into a different world; before him lay endless majestic mountains and rivers, with Divine Peaks reaching the heavens and Immortal Peaks piercing the firmament.

Countless Divine Stones, Dao Gold, Immortal Plants, and Dao medicines were abundant among the mountains, and within the great rivers, True Dragons could be seen lurking!

Xu Yuan gazed at this endless landscape, sighing with admiration and deeply moved.

Compared to the Outer Court, this Inner Court was truly a divine land!

Passing through layers of strict guards, Xu Yuan and Elder Mu arrived at the foot of a mountain peak; this mountain range, winding and extending for less than ten thousand li, seemed quite abrupt compared to the other majestic Divine Peaks and treasured mountains.

While the surrounding Divine Peaks were not only towering and vast, this particular peak stood isolated and precarious, piercing directly into the Inner Court, like a rising Azure Dragon, quite extraordinary.

The entire peak possessed a mysterious Dao rhyme, as if it had endured the River of Time, filled with a sense of ancientness.

“Young Master Xu, please go up! The Dean is right there!”

Elder Mu bowed towards the peak, then politely said to Xu Yuan.

“The Dean?”

Xu Yuan was startled, not expecting that the Dean of the Dao Academy wanted to see him.

“That’s right! This peak is Cangwu Peak, the residence of the Dean of our Cangwu Dao Academy!”

“The Dean has not appeared for tens of millions of years, but because of your arrival, he has already come out of seclusion early!”

At this point, Elder Mu’s face showed reverence.

Xu Yuan was surprised again upon hearing this; it seemed he had underestimated the significance of his Saint Eyes Wielder identity. Jin Yi had told him before he went to the Upper Realm that the Saint Eyes Wielder was extremely important to the Dao Academy, relating to a Secret Realm, but looking at it now, perhaps even his Revered Master only knew fragments of the truth.

After all, the Dean of the Dao Academy was already a half-step Dao Lord Realm existence, and not just an ordinary half-step Dao Lord, but a definite quasi-Dao Lord existence; his world had already nurtured life, and all that remained was accumulation before a Breakthrough.

For such an existence to come out of seclusion early to see him, it was clear that the Saint Eyes Wielder was of great importance.

Bidding farewell to Elder Mu, Xu Yuan slowly walked towards the steps of the mountain peak. Although Cangwu Peak soared into the clouds, for someone of Xu Yuan’s Realm, his steps were extremely fast, and he quickly reached the summit.

At the summit, several ancient pines, steeped in the River of Time, stood tall, and among them, a thatched hut hung.

The thatched hut appeared simple and old, yet it exuded an ancient aura, standing silently as if coexisting with heaven and earth, eternally present, as if nothing in this world could shake it.

Xu Yuan looked around, feeling that although the surrounding Divine Peaks were majestic and magnificent, they were not as profound as this solitary peak beneath his feet. Looking with his Sacred Eye, he understood the Dao of this place; it was the Dragon Vein’s knotting point of the Cangwu Mountain Range, the supreme wondrous land in the entire Cangwu world.

Standing here, he felt a surge in his heart, with the ambition to encompass heaven and earth.

“Creak!”

Just then, the door of the thatched hut slowly opened, and wisps of mist rose, like a descending immortal curtain, instantly permeating the entire mountain.

“The power of the Sacred Eye!”

An aged voice came from within the thatched hut, very soft, yet it clearly reached Xu Yuan’s ears.

“Xu Yuan greets the Dean!”

Xu Yuan hurriedly bowed towards the thatched hut.

“You’re here?”

An Old Man in Green slowly walked out of the thatched hut; he was slender, but as soon as he appeared, the cries of Dragons and Phoenixes echoed, and at the same time, various Great Dao phenomena emerged behind him.

This was a precursor to a Cultivator’s imminent Breakthrough, clearly The Old Man in Green had reached an incredible stage and was about to take that step, but due to Xu Yuan’s arrival, he had forcefully come out of seclusion early.

Xu Yuan’s heart couldn’t help but become a little more solemn.

“No need to be nervous! This Old Man does indeed need your Sacred Eye, but I will not snatch it! As a Disciple of the Dao Academy, you are one of our Cangwu Dao Academy, and this Old Man will use the Dao Academy’s resources to assist your cultivation!”

“Of course, when you reach the Dao Lord Realm, this Old Man will need you to do one thing for the Dao Academy!”

The Old Man in Green, seeing Xu Yuan’s vigilance, said gently.

“What does the Dean need this Junior to do? It’s not that this Junior is being self-deprecating, but if it’s something the Dao Academy cannot accomplish, this Junior…”

Xu Yuan did not continue, but his meaning was clear.

The Old Man in Green smiled, “This matter can only be accomplished by a Saint Eyes Wielder, otherwise this Old Man would not have come out of seclusion to see you at this time!”

Xu Yuan’s expression remained unchanged upon hearing this; he had already anticipated it.

“Can Senior tell me the reason?”

Xu Yuan looked directly at The Old Man in Green, not intimidated by his aura.

“Very well!” The Old Man in Green looked at Xu Yuan, then nodded.

Then, his eyes fell into memory.

“Do you know the origin of our Cangwu Dao Academy?”

The Old Man in Green asked.

“I’ve only heard the Elders of the Academy mention that our Academy was founded after the Dark Era, with the purpose of cultivating strong individuals for the Human Race!” Xu Yuan said seriously.

“Yes and no! What you speak of is the Lower Realm Academy, but the true Cangwu Dao Academy was founded in the Primordial Era. The Lower Realm Academy was a branch established by a few Elders who stayed behind when the Dao Academy went to the Ancient Land of Dao back then!”

“And the founder of the Cangwu Dao Academy was the first Saint Eyes Wielder in this world. In ancient times, due to the Great Primordial War, countless lives suffered. Our Dao Academy’s Ancestral Master, pitying the suffering of all beings, established the Cangwu Dao Academy at the foot of Cangwu Mountain to enlighten all living things!”

“The Cangwu Dao Academy of that era taught without discrimination. Any sincere and kind-hearted being was accepted as a Disciple by the Ancestral Master. Because of this, the Ancestral Master received blessings from the Eternal Heavenly Dao and obtained the Sacred Eye, so much so that by the Desolate Ancient Era, the Cangwu Dao Academy had already become a very prosperous Academy in the Eternal Dao Realm.”

“What?”

Xu Yuan had not expected that the Ancestral Master of the Cangwu Dao Academy was actually the first Saint Eyes Wielder in this world. This implied that the Cangwu Dao Academy also had a profound origin.

“At that time, the Dao Academy possessed seven Immortal existences, and the Ancestral Master was an Immortal Giant, which made those Human Race factions who hated all races only able to watch as the Dao Academy recruited those foreign beings into the Academy.”

Xu Yuan was somewhat shocked; seven Immortals, one of whom was an Immortal Giant. With such strength, the Cangwu Dao Academy could dominate not only the Canglan Dao Domain but even those Great Domains ranked in the top hundred.

However, now the Dao Academy only had one Immortal, clearly indicating its decline.

The Old Man in Green sensed Xu Yuan’s thoughts and paid no mind, continuing his narration.

“Originally, we thought everything would pass peacefully, but unfortunately, during the Dark Era, the expelled Chaos Race returned, and a great war erupted between the two sides. Originally, our Eternal Dao Realm had an advantage, but then the Innate Gods and Devils, suppressed by the Heavenly Court, suddenly tore through their Seal and allied with the Chaos Race.”

“In the end, it was Human Emperor Shi who, at the cost of his own sacrifice, slayed three half-step Immortals and seventeen Dao Ancestors from both the Chaos Race and the Innate Gods and Devils, thus reversing the decline of the Eternal Dao Realm and expelling the enemy from the Eternal Dao Realm.”

“In that battle, our Cangwu Dao Academy also participated; three of the six Immortal Old Ancestors perished, and the remaining two also suffered considerable injuries. As for our Ancestral Master, he was betrayed by his youngest Disciple, who, in conjunction with other strong individuals, banished him to a certain segment of the River of Time in the past, and he has been unable to return to the present Eternal Dao Realm to this day.”

At this point, The Old Man in Green’s eyes flickered with rage.
