403: Ancient Sword Sect

The Ancient Sword Dao Sect, situated atop a Medium Grade Dao Vein in Dao Sword Ancient State, was built against the mountains, exuding a magnificent Aura.

From afar, the entire Sect resembled a drawn sword, piercing the clouds and revealing its sharp edge.

On either side of the mountain gate stood two thousand-zhang-tall sword-shaped stone steles, inscribed with ancient Sword Dao runes, emanating a formidable Sword Dao power, as if capable of severing all obstacles.

Within the Sect, countless Disciples wielded their swords like rain in the practice grounds, Sword Qi crisscrossing, sword lights flashing, and sword cries rising and falling.

As the Holy Land of Sword Dao in the Canglan Dao Domain, the Ancient Sword Dao Sect gathered over eighty percent of the Sword Dao Prodigies from the Dao Domain. Each Disciple was like an unsheathed sword, with a restrained sharpness yet containing an endless killing Aura.

The history of the Ancient Sword Dao Sect can be traced back to the Primordial Era. Its Ancestral Master established the Ancient Sword Dao Sect after achieving the Dao Lord realm through Sword Dao.

Thereafter, the Ancient Sword Dao Sect grew rapidly, and by the Archaic Era, the Ancient Sword Dao Sect already possessed more than ten Dao Lords, and its Ancestral Master had even achieved the Immortal Giant realm, shaking all directions with his power.

However, the arrival of the Darkness Upheaval severely depleted the Ancient Sword Dao Sect's foundation, with the Ancestral Master and many Immortal powerhouses successively falling, causing the Sect to fall into a trough.

It was not until the Middle Ancient Era that the Ancient Sword Dao Sect barely recovered some of its Origin Qi.

Even so, the Ancient Sword Dao Sect remained one of the overlords of the Canglan Dao Domain, with four Immortal Dao Lords still guarding the Sect, possessing a profound foundation.

Deep within the Sect was the Ancient Sword Dao Sect's Forbidden Ground—the Sword Cave!

The Sword Cave was where the Ancient Sword Ancestral Master Cultivated back then, located in the deepest Forbidden Ground of the Ancient Sword Dao Sect, surrounded by countless sword formations, with Sword Qi like a tide, making it impossible for ordinary Cultivators to approach.

This Sword Cave contained the Ancestral Master's insights into the Sword Dao, with Sword Qi crisscrossing and Sword Dao power surging within it, making it extremely suitable for Sword Cultivators to Cultivate.

The Ancient Sword Dao Sect had once lost much of its foundation, but the Sword Cave had been preserved intact, becoming the retreat for the Ancient Sword Dao Sect's Immortal Dao Lords.

At this moment!

A figure appeared here, dressed in a green robe, with an ancient longsword hanging at his waist, his steps steady, and his gaze like a sword.

This person was none other than Jian Wuya, the Sect Master of the Ancient Sword Dao Sect.

As a Sect Master, Jian Wuya's Cultivation had reached the Half-step Dao Lord realm, and his Sword Dao attainments were unfathomable; he was a powerhouse on the verge of Breakthrough to Dao Lord.

However, at this moment, his expression carried a hint of solemnity.

Jian Wuya arrived outside the Sword Cave, respectfully bowed, and said in a deep and powerful voice, "Disciple Jian Wuya requests an audience with the four Old Ancestors."

A moment later, an old and majestic voice came from within the Sword Cave: "Come in."

Jian Wuya took a deep breath and stepped into the Sword Cave.

Inside the cave, Sword Qi crisscrossed, and the Sword Dao was like a sea; it was as if every wisp of air contained endless Sword Dao true meaning.

Although Jian Wuya was already a Half-step Dao Lord, he still felt an invisible pressure within this Sword Cave.

In the depths of the cave, four figures sat cross-legged, surrounded by Sword Dao, as if they had merged with the entire Sword Cave. These four were the Ancient Sword Dao Sect's four Immortal Old Ancestors, each a Sword Dao giant, renowned throughout the region.

"Wuya, what is it?"

One of the Old Ancestors slowly spoke, his voice as clear as a sword's cry, yet carrying endless majesty.

Jian Wuya bowed respectfully, his tone deferential: "Reporting to the four Old Ancestors, an unfamiliar Dao Lord has appeared in the Azure Spirit Abode, his strength unfathomable."

"According to the scout's report, this person's surname is Xu, and he was invited by Daoist Cangsong to be a guest at our Sect."

The four Old Ancestors' expressions shifted upon hearing this.

A glint flashed in the eyes of one Old Ancestor, and he said in a deep voice, "An unfamiliar Dao Lord? Surname Xu?"

Jian Wuya nodded: "Yes! This Disciple is worried that this person is..., if it is truly the case, it might pose a threat to our Sect!"

Another Old Ancestor snorted coldly, a hint of disdain in his tone: "He is merely a Dao Lord. If he dares to come, this Old Ancestor will ensure he never returns!"

Upon hearing this, Jian Wuya quickly said, "Third Ancestor, we are unclear about this person's strength, but if this person is truly who we think he is, then before we thoroughly investigate this Xu Family, we still need to act cautiously to avoid unnecessary disputes."

The four Old Ancestors fell silent for a moment. Finally, the leading Old Ancestor slowly spoke: "Wuya, continue to monitor this matter. As for actions against the Cangwu Dao Academy, cease them for now. The Heavenly Blade Relic is about to open, and our Sect needs to focus its efforts on this matter."

Jian Wuya respectfully replied: "Yes, this Disciple understands."

He bowed and exited the Sword Cave, his heart still heavy.

The appearance of that unfamiliar Dao Lord was like a stone thrown into a calm lake, stirring up ripples.

Fortunately, the Ancient Sword Dao Sect's actions were currently only covert, and there was still room for rectification.

"Alas!"

With a soft sigh, Jian Wuya left the Forbidden Ground.

Dao Hidden Ancient Realm, Sun Family Forbidden Ground.

Deep within a secluded bamboo forest, two white-bearded elders sat opposite each other at a stone table, holding black and white chess pieces, concentrating on their game.

Bamboo leaves swayed gently in the wind, rustling, as if accompanying this silent contest.

"Interesting! Your earlier suggestion not to act rashly was indeed correct!"

The elder holding the black pieces stroked his long beard, a hint of approval flashing in his eyes, then placed a piece, which made a crisp sound as it hit the board.

The elder holding the white pieces smiled slightly, his gaze as deep as an abyss, and slowly placed a white piece, saying calmly: "A mere Dao Master possessing a High Grade chaotic spiritual treasure is not something an ordinary force could achieve."

"Even our Sun Family Head does not have a chaotic spiritual treasure for protection. This Xu Family's foundation is somewhat unfathomable!"

"This time, let's see how the Ancient Sword Dao Sect handles this!"

The elder holding the black pieces sneered, a hint of sarcasm in his tone.

"Handle it? Haha!" The elder holding the white pieces narrowed his eyes, a glint flashing within them, "Given the temperament of those sword fanatics, even if the Azurewave Dao Sect intervened, it might not make them back down. At most, they would just cease their minor actions."

"That's true." The elder holding the black pieces nodded, a hint of helplessness in his tone.

The elder holding the white pieces pondered for a moment, then suddenly said: "Strike while the iron is hot! The Heavenly Blade Relic is about to open. Have Changlong visit the Cangwu Dao Academy and tell them that the Sun Family is willing to form an Alliance with the Cangwu Dao Academy to jointly explore the Heavenly Blade Relic."

"You mean..." The elder holding the black pieces understood, a flash of realization in his eyes, then nodded knowingly.

"Exactly!" The elder holding the white pieces smiled slightly, a hint of deeper meaning in his tone.

"The Xu Family's sudden appearance is either for matters concerning the Eternal Night Clan or they are here for the Heavenly Blade Relic. In any case, our Sun Family forming an Alliance with them can use this opportunity to inquire about the Xu Family's background."

"If that's the case, then for this Heavenly Blade Relic, will you go?" The elder holding the black pieces asked tentatively.

Although the Heavenly Blade Relic only allowed beings within a thousand epochs and below the Dao Lord realm to enter, whenever it appeared, Dao Lords from all sides would be present to protect their Disciples.

If the Sun Family participated, they would naturally need a Dao Lord to oversee it.

"Very well." The elder holding the white pieces nodded in agreement.

At the same time, other forces in the Canglan Dao Domain were also secretly discussing the matter of the Azure Spirit Abode.

Xu Qing's sudden appearance was like a stone thrown into a calm lake, stirring up ripples.

Meanwhile, the protagonist of the story, Xu Qing, had quietly left the Canglan Dao Domain and entered the territory of the Eternal Night Dao Domain.
