166: Chapter 166: Looting the Outpost? Getting tons of points!

Outside Black Wind Valley, the Vanguard Army camp was bustling with activity.

With the first Dark Seal Array just broken, the Vanguard Army players had a new buff hanging over their heads that granted +15% damage against dark monsters, and they were carrying the newly obtained Light Protection Scrolls; everyone walked with a spring in their step.

"If we don't pull off a big job now, when will we?"

"The main force hasn't pushed through yet, so let's raid the outer outposts first!"

"Rebel supplies, guard posts, supply carts—aren't those all points?"

With a quick scroll of the world channel, without needing anyone to organize them, large groups of players formed their own raiding squads.

One five-person solo player squad was the first to charge out.

The captain was named Night Owl, and his class was Assassin.

The other four were an Archer, an Ice Mage, a Shield Warrior, and a Priest.

The composition wasn't luxurious, but they were all veterans.

Night Owl crouched behind a hillside on the outskirts of Black Wind Valley, squinting as he stared at a rebel outpost ahead.

It wasn't large.

Three wooden granaries. Over twenty Black Dragon rebel guards. Two patrols were walking back and forth on the perimeter.

The Archer lowered his voice: "Are we really raiding this place?"

Night Owl grinned: "Raid it!"

"Supply points are the most valuable. Burning them gives points, killing guards gives points, and we might even be able to loot some supplies."

The Shield Warrior gripped his shield: "Then let's hit them hard."

The five didn't waste words and directly divided the tasks. The Assassin and Archer snuck over first. The Ice Mage camped the patrol routes on the perimeter. The Priest held onto buffs, and the Shield Warrior waited to tank the front line.

Swish! Night Owl slid down along the rock wall, using the chaotic stones and black fog at the edge of Black Wind Valley to sneak into the back of the outpost.

Two rebel guards were leaning against a granary, drinking and bragging.

"Once the Elder gets rid of that human, the Dragon Domain will be ours—"

Pfft! Before he could finish, Night Owl's dagger had already sliced across his neck from behind.

The other one tried to open his mouth, but an arrow "whooshed" from behind the tree shadows and pierced his throat.

[Killed Rebel Guard, Points +30]

As the two notifications popped up, Night Owl's eyes lit up.

"Awesome!"

The next second, he pulled out a bottle of fire oil and threw it under the three granaries. The Archer simultaneously fired three fire arrows. Boom! Boom! Boom! Flames instantly shot up!

The entire outpost was in chaos.

"Fire!" "Enemy attack!" "Quick, save the granaries!"

As a group of rebel guards rushed out, the Ice Mage on the perimeter raised a hand, unleashing a sheet of frost that instantly froze the patrol route.

The Shield Warrior roared as he charged in, tanking two guards and fiercely knocking them to the ground.

The Priest applied a heal to the whole team, while the Archer fired wildly. Night Owl darted around the flames, focusing on finishing off low-health enemies.

In just a few minutes, all three granaries were burned down. A dozen or so guards were completely slaughtered.

The remaining few rebels saw the fire couldn't be controlled and turned to run, but as soon as they reached the valley entrance, they were gunned down by the Archer and Ice Mage.

[Destroyed Rebel Granary ×3, Points +900] [Killed Rebel Guard ×16, Points +480] [Completed Outer Outpost Destruction, Bonus Points +300]

The entire five-person squad was stunned.

"Holy crap... 1,680 points?"

"This is way better than grinding mobs for half a day!"

"Back to camp! Quick, exchange for Dragon Crystals!"

The five ran back to the Vanguard Army camp overnight, rushed to the exchange panel, and after some quick operations, directly exchanged for several low-grade Dragon Crystals.

The surrounding players saw this and went wild.

"Is that for real?"

"Burned three granaries and got Dragon Crystals?"

"Damn, if I'd known, I would've gone raiding too!"

The news quickly reached Lin Zhe. He sat in his tent, and with a sweep of his Rule Perception, he saw everything this five-person solo player squad did, from the infiltration and arson to the retreat.

Lin Zhe's lips curled slightly. "They know how to fight."

The next second, a server-wide announcement slammed down!

[Server Announcement: A five-person solo player squad successfully wiped out a Rebel Elders outer supply storage point, burned three granaries, and killed sixteen guards. Excellent results!]

[Prince Regent Lin Zhe adds a reward: The squad receives an additional 10,000 points!]

[Bonus reward: The entire squad receives a one-month exclusive buff of +5% to all stats!]

[At the same time, starting from today, all players raiding rebel outer outposts will receive double points!]

[Dragon Crystal exchange rate reduced by another 10%!]

Once the announcement came out, the Vanguard Army camp went quiet for a moment. Then, it exploded!

"Holy crap! 10,000 points?"

"And a month of +5% to all stats?"

"Points for raiding outposts doubled? And the Dragon Crystal exchange rate dropped by another 10%?"

"Brothers, don't sleep! Everyone get up and go raiding!"

The five-person solo player squad was so excited their faces turned red. Night Owl clutched the 10,000 points that had just arrived, his hands shaking.

"We're rich..." "We're really rich!" "Big Boss Lin Zhe is treating us like treasures!"

The world channel was instantly flooded.

"Asking for supply point coordinates!"

"Looking for Assassins, Archers, and Mages, starting a raiding squad!"

"No sleep tonight, let's hit the rebel outskirts hard!"

Over the next three days, the entire perimeter of Black Wind Valley was in complete chaos. The players didn't engage in direct confrontation at all. They just raided. Raiding guard posts. Raiding granaries. Raiding supply carts. Raiding patrol points.

Dozens, even hundreds of squads scurried around like mice, raiding by day and by night. One side would burn a supply shed, while another pulled out a small watchtower. Some squads snuck into the rebel stables in the middle of the night and released all the mounts. Some teams ambushed supply transport routes and hijacked entire carts of supplies. Others targeted the rebels during shift changes, taking them out one by one and running immediately after.

In three days, seventeen outer outposts were completely wiped out by the players. Rebel supplies were burned. Patrol routes were smashed. Less than 30% of supply carts remained. Outer guard posts would tremble at the slightest rustle in the forest.

Deep within Black Wind Valley, battle reports were delivered to Qing Yan one after another.

"Report! The western supply point has been burned again!"

"Report! The eastern patrol camp has lost contact!"

"Report! The third supply station has been wiped out by a group of otherworldly visitors!"

When Qing Yan heard the third report, his face twisted. Bang! The first table was smashed to pieces! "Trash!"

Another report arrived. "Elder, the small outpost on the south slope is gone too..." Bang! The second table shattered as well! "Just how many of them are there?!"

A confidant steeled himself and spoke: "It's not a main army, but many small squads. They come fast and run even faster; we can't catch them at all..."

Qing Yan's forehead veins bulged; he grabbed the teacup beside him and smashed it. "Then send men to surround and kill them!"

But not long after the order was given, another urgent report rushed in. "Report! The northern outer post has been raided! All guards are dead!" Bang! The third table exploded into splinters on the spot!

Qing Yan's chest heaved with anger, his teeth nearly shattering. But he really had no solution. If he sent the main army to chase, the player squads would just disperse. If he didn't, fires would light up again in the middle of the night. These otherworldly visitors were elusive, attacking and retreating immediately, and they were getting more and more points and Dragon Crystals, making them more and more addicted.

Meanwhile, at the Vanguard Army camp, a long line had formed in front of the exchange panel.

"I raided two guard posts, 800 points!"

"I burned a cart of grain, exchanging for Dragon Crystals directly!"

"Keep going, keep going, the next squad follow me!"

All the players' eyes were shining. Who still thought suppressing the rebellion was a chore? This was clearly fighting and earning at the same time; they were getting so many points their hands were going soft!

Inside the tent, Lin Zhe listened to the commotion outside, which grew louder wave by wave, his expression calm. He hadn't personally taken action. But the outer perimeter of Black Wind Valley had already been peeled away by the players. And that churning mass of dark aura deeper within had clearly begun to grow restless.
