69: Chapter 69 This bastard's methods are unbearable.

Wang Dachui plopped down on the edge of the bed. His gaze lingered for a second on that smooth, jade-like back. His Adam's apple bobbed involuntarily, then he quickly composed himself and pressed his large hand onto it without hesitation.

"Hiss..." The moment her cool skin touched his scorching palm, Nalan Ruo instantly tensed her body, emitting an intake of breath that was enough to make one's imagination run wild.

It felt like a block of ice being thrown into boiling oil; the intense reaction caused goosebumps to rise all over her body.

This time, Wang Dachui didn't use the forceful, rough pushing technique from yesterday; instead, he switched to a more delicate and agonizingly slow method.

His fingers slowly traced the Du Meridian along both sides of her spine, and at every Acupoint, he injected a wisp of gentle yet domineering Fire Qi.

"This is called the Vibration Technique," Wang Dachui said, keeping a straight face while spouting nonsense as he massaged.

"I learned it from an ancient text; it's specifically for dealing with stubborn cold toxins like yours. The principle is to use high-frequency vibrations to shatter the cold energy, and then force it out with heat."

In reality, there was no ancient text. It was purely a "blind cat" style massage technique he had fumbled his way through, made possible by the Eye of Insight allowing him to see the distribution of the cold energy, combined with the precise control of his Ancient Sacred Body.

"Mm... there... mmm..." With Wang Dachui's movements, Nalan Ruo's previously tense body gradually softened.

That warm sensation flowed through her Meridians to every part of her body, like soaking in a hot spring under the winter sun, or like ten thousand ants crawling inside the gaps of her bones—it was sore, itchy, and comfortable, making her unable to stop herself from humming.

Her complexion, previously pale from pain, now bloomed with two alluring flushes, like red plum blossoms blooming in the snow.

The fine beads of sweat seeping from her forehead dampened the stray hairs at her temples, making her look less heroic than usual and adding a touch of fragility and allure that was never seen on her in daily life.

Looking down at this scene from above, Wang Dachui felt his mouth go dry.

The lethality of this angle... was simply greater than the mental shock of a Tier 6 Beast Emperor!

"Steady! Wang Dachui! You absolutely cannot get a nosebleed, or you'll be mortified!" He frantically recited the Heart-Cleansing Mantra in his mind, trying to suppress the agitation in his heart, but his hands became even more focused.

Meanwhile, under the window of Nalan Ruo's bedroom, three little heads were neatly stacked in a human pyramid, crouching at the corner of the wall eavesdropping.

"Big Brother, what is Dad doing? Why does it sound like they're fighting inside?" The Second, Wang Yan, scratched his head, looking confused. "Is Aunt Nalan being disobedient, and Dad is beating her?"

"Nonsense!" The eldest, Wang Zhentian, chewed on a piece of dried meat and analyzed unclearly, "They are practicing martial arts! Didn't you hear Aunt Nalan screaming so miserably? They must be practicing some supreme martial art; I want to learn it too!"

The Third, Wang Ling, analyzed with a serious face: "According to sound wave frequency analysis, this sound belongs to high-frequency tremolo, which usually occurs in situations of extreme pain or extreme... pleasure."

"Combined with the temperature changes and heart rate fluctuations in the room, I have reason to suspect that Dad is conducting some kind of biological experiment."

"Who's there?!" Just then, a cold, sharp voice came from behind them.

The three little ones shivered in fright. Turning around, they saw General Leng Feng standing behind them with a blank expression, radiating a chilly aura.

"Mom! We... we were just passing by!" "Right! Passing by to catch mosquitoes!"

The three children scattered like birds and beasts, vanishing in an instant.

General Leng Feng glanced at the tightly shut door, listened to the sounds coming from inside, and the corner of her mouth twitched twice. Finally, she sighed, turned, and left, incidentally casting a sound-insulation barrier for them.

"This guy... can't he keep the noise down a bit?"

Inside the room, the treatment had reached a critical moment.

"Sister Nalan, next I'm going to press the Tianzong Acupoint. This is the disaster zone where the cold energy has accumulated, and it's also the root of your old lung injury. It might be a bit sore, just bear with it."

"Mmm... go ahead." Nalan Ruo's voice was as soft as water, having completely given up resistance.

Wang Dachui took a deep breath, pressed his thumbs into the depression in the center of her scapula, settled his Qi into his Dantian, and exerted force suddenly!

"Ah~!" A short, charming exclamation, even carrying a hint of a sob, instantly shattered the silence of the room.

Nalan Ruo jerked her head up, her eyes unfocused and brimming with tears, then she buried her head back down in shame and anger, her fingers gripping the sheets until they turned white.

"What's wrong? Does it hurt?" Wang Dachui asked knowing the answer, though he didn't reduce the strength in his hands at all.

"No... it's not pain... it's... it's numbness..." Nalan Ruo was so embarrassed she wished she could find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

That tingling, numb sensation rushed straight to her crown along her nerve endings, giving her the illusion of being electrocuted, as if all the bones in her body had been taken apart and reassembled.

"Numbness is good! It means it's clearing up!" Wang Dachui spouted nonsense with a straight face, sweat also breaking out on his forehead. "Bear with it, the cold energy is dispersing. Just hold on for five more minutes, and today's treatment will be finished!"

The next five minutes felt like years to Nalan Ruo, as if she were repeatedly switching between the clouds and Hell.

That feeling of walking on the edge between pain and pleasure left her mind blank. She even forgot who she was, knowing only how to rise and fall and tremble to the rhythm of those hands.

"Done!" Wang Dachui let out a long breath and abruptly withdrew his hands.

He was also drenched in sweat, his undershirt soaked through, feeling more exhausted than after a fight with General Leng Feng.

This wasn't just physical labor; it was a test of willpower! If he kept massaging, he was afraid he really wouldn't be able to hold back.

Nalan Ruo lay completely limp on the bed, taking quite a while to catch her breath.

She felt that the cold energy that had been suppressing her for twenty years had dissipated by more than half, replaced by a warm, flowing current.

She struggled to turn over and wrapped herself tightly in the blanket, looking at Wang Dachui with only her watery eyes, which seemed as if they could drip water.

In those eyes, the previous resistance and indifference were gone, replaced by a hint of indescribable reliance and tenderness.

"Dachui... thank you." Her voice was a bit hoarse, yet it radiated an unprecedented sense of relaxation.

"What are you thanking me for? There's no need to be polite between family." Wang Dachui wiped his sweat, reached out to tuck in the corner of her blanket, and poured a cup of warm water to hand to her.

"You rest for a while; I'll go get you something to eat. You sweated so much just now, you need to replenish."

Watching Wang Dachui's retreating back, although he looked a bit disheveled, he appeared inexplicably broad and reliable.

Nalan Ruo's heart beat rapidly, and that feeling of palpitation could not calm down for a long time.

Twenty years. In that cold, dark underground, she had fought against loneliness and cold all by herself, thinking she would spend her whole life accompanied by the cold.

But now, this man, with a pair of scorching hands, had not only melted the ice in her body but also seemed... to have warmed her frozen heart.

"Family, huh..." Nalan Ruo murmured to herself, a gentle smile appearing on her face unconsciously, before she buried her head into the quilt in shame and annoyance.

"This bastard... how could his technique be so... so unbearable..."
