40: Chapter 40 Lin Yun's Troubles: Too Many Children, Not Enough Names

Deep in the night, the study in the villa was brightly lit.

Lin Yun did not go to deal with the affairs of the President of the Eagle Nation. Instead, he sat at his desk, brow furrowed, a look of unprecedented "trouble" on his face.

In front of him, there were no complex blueprints, no top-secret reports, only a blank sheet of paper and a pen.

On the paper, three names had already been written.

Beside them, there was still a large blank space.

"Lin Zi, Lin Han—one follows my surname, the other follows their mother's. Twins, that's good."

"Lin Ying, following her mother's surname, inheriting her determination—that's also not bad."

"What should this one be called?"

Lin Yun looked at the third child, born to Mitsui Reiko, who was fast asleep in swaddling clothes in his arms, and fell into deep thought.

Follow the mother's surname? Call him Mitsui something?

It felt a bit strange.

Follow his own surname? Call him Lin, but Lin what?

This child represented "life" and "benevolence," possessing the potential for healing and optimization; the future was destined for him to shine in the field of life sciences.

He couldn't just call him "Doctor Lin," could he?

Lin Yun felt that his brain cells were consuming more energy at this moment than when he was developing the "Universal Serum."

Was this what they called the trouble of happiness?

Just then, the study door was gently pushed open.

Qin Zihan, Nightingale, and Mitsui Reiko—three women wearing different styles of pajamas, carrying hot milk and a fruit platter—walked in together.

Seeing Lin Yun staring blankly at the blank piece of paper, they couldn't help but laugh.

"Honey, are you still worrying about our son's name?"

Qin Zihan placed a cup of hot milk by Lin Yun's hand and said softly.

"I said it before, a child's name is a symbol that carries the parents' expectations. Since this child represents the future of life sciences, why not call him 'Lin Ji'? 'Ji' for gene. How about that?"

Nightingale shook her head. She held a slice of apple to Lin Yun's lips.

"Too ordinary, it lacks grandeur."

"The child of Pangu should have a name that is thunderous and shakes the universe!"

"In my opinion, why not call him 'Lin Tian'! Destined by heaven, the chosen one!"

Mitsui Reiko whispered in Lin Yun's ear:

"Mr. Lin Yun, I think it would be better to call him 'Lin Ren'? 'Ren' for benevolence. He brought benevolence and hope to the world; this name fits his mission very well."

Listening to the three women chiming in one after another, Lin Yun felt his head throb even more.

Lin Ji? Lin Tian? Lin Ren?

They all seemed... not bad.

But they also all seemed to be missing something.

"This is only the third one. What if there's a fourth, a fifth, a hundredth in the future? We can't just call them Lin One, Lin Two, Lin Three, can we?"

Lin Yun said half-jokingly.

However, it was said without intention, but heard with intent.

The faces of the three women flushed red at the same time, and a strange glint flashed in their eyes.

They knew that with Lin Yun's "Pangu Project," and his responsibility to the Dragon Kingdom and even all of humanity.

In the future, there would definitely be more "cooperation partners" and more S-rank offspring.

"Then, what should we do?"

Mitsui Reiko asked with some concern, "A name accompanies one for a lifetime. It can't be too casual, right?"

Lin Yun looked at the three women, then looked at his sleeping son in his arms, and a bold idea suddenly formed in his heart.

"Perhaps their names shouldn't be decided by us."

Lin Yun said slowly, his gaze becoming deep and distant.

"They are S-rank prodigies, the leaders of humanity's future."

"Their names should be defined by themselves in the future, through their achievements!"

"We can give them a code name, a nickname. As for their real names, when they grow up, when they find their own paths in life, and when they have made unique contributions to this world, then they can be bestowed upon them—by themselves, or by the world!"

As soon as these words were spoken, the three women were stunned.

They hadn't expected Lin Yun to have such an imaginative, yet philosophical idea.

"Define their own names?"

A gleam of wisdom flashed in Qin Zihan's eyes, "That is an interesting idea. Just like scientific laws, they are all named after their discoverers."

"Use battle achievements to forge one's own title! Good! What spirit!"

Nightingale's eyes were also filled with agreement.

"Let the world name him."

Mitsui Reiko murmured to herself, her eyes filled with longing for the future.

Lin Yun looked at them and smiled.

"So, don't worry about it anymore."

"Let's just call this little guy 'Sanbao' for now. Simple and easy to remember."

"When he really uses biotechnology to help humanity achieve immortality, by then, people all over the world might respectfully call him the 'God of Life'."

Having solved the "century-old problem" of naming, Lin Yun felt a sense of relief wash over him.

He handed "Sanbao" to Mitsui Reiko, then stood up and stretched his muscles.

"Alright, the naming issue is resolved."

"Next, it's time to deal with that 'guest' who has been kneeling for almost a day."

He walked to the window, looked towards the airport in the distance, at the figure that appeared exceptionally small and pathetic in the night, and a cold arc curved at the corner of his mouth.

"However, before I see him, I need to know one thing first."

Lin Yun turned around, his gaze sweeping over the faces of Qin Zihan, Nightingale, and Mitsui Reiko one by one, his expression becoming serious.

"The children will be a full month old soon."

"It's time for their S-rank potential to undergo systematic development and education."

"What kind of teachers do you think we should find for them? Or rather, what kind of 'school' should we establish for them?"
