87: Chapter 87 Dimensional Reduction Strike: The Ghost Fleet Trembles in the Shadows

"The... the sky... it's blocked..."

"What is that... a Dragon Nation city? Did they launch an entire city into the sky?"

"No! Those are warships! My God! Nine! A full nine aerial warships!"

Near the Mariana Trench, a "hodgepodge" joint fleet composed of dozens of ships was currently in chaos. The owners of these vessels were mostly states that had recently declared independence from the Eagle Union, or old European powers that had been watching from the sidelines.

After Lin Yun announced the "Deep-Sea Scavenging" plan, unable to contain their greed and ignoring the Dragon Nation's warnings, they secretly dispatched their most prized fleets, hoping to snatch a piece of the pie in this feast of civilizational leap.

Yet now, as those nine "Luan Bird" aerospace carriers descended slowly from beyond the atmosphere like nine moving continents of steel, blotting out the sky, all their greed transformed in an instant into a bone-deep terror.

The "Luan Bird" fleet did not immediately enter the atmosphere but hovered in orbit at an altitude of one hundred thousand meters, its immense shadow precisely covering the entire turbulent sea below.

Looking up from the sea surface, the sky was divided into nine massive, regular black areas, as if they were nine pairs of indifferent divine eyes gazing down upon the ants of the mortal world.

That gaze from a higher dimension made every crew member of the joint fleet below feel a soul-crushing suffocation.

On the bridge of the dinghai-class warship, Captain Long Ying was equally stunned by the magnificent, almost otherworldly sight before her. She finally understood the true meaning of Lin Yun's words, "Your battlefield will soon no longer be on this sea."

In the face of entities like the "Luan Bird," the ocean truly was just an insignificant little pond.

"Lin... sir, what should we... do now?" Long Ying's voice carried a barely perceptible tremor; for the first time, she felt lost while commanding her own fleet.

"Do?" A cold curve lifted the corner of Lin Yun's mouth. "Clean up, of course."

His gaze fell upon a special area on the holographic nautical chart.

There, a fleet marked "unknown identity" was slowly surfacing from the core energy field where the deep-sea leviathan had awakened.

It was the Eagle Union's most elite "Sixth Ghost Fleet," which had lost contact half a year ago.

However, they were no longer their original selves.

Through the high-magnification optical lenses deployed by the "Luan Bird" from outer space, one could clearly see that the once sharp-lined Burke-class destroyers and nuclear submarines now had countless twisted, tendon-like purple fleshy strands growing on their hulls.

The steel armor of the ships had fused grotesquely with some black, constantly squirming chitinous substance. The main guns at the bows were replaced by massive, compound-eye-covered fleshy tumors, appearing both nauseating and terrifying.

They seemed like they had been mutated after infection by some deep-sea virus, transforming from pure war machines into half-mechanical, half-biological "abominations."

"Report, Brother Lin! 'Nuwa' has scanned the Ghost Fleet!" Xiao Zhang's voice came through the comms channel, tinged with disgust. "Their crews have completely fused with the ship hulls, becoming biological cores that drive the vessels! They... can no longer be called human!"

"They are... paying tribute to that big guy." Lin Yun's eyes grew even colder.

On the screen, the mutated Ghost Fleet was maneuvering in a bizarre formation, circling the "eye" of the Living Planet Engine as if performing some ancient sacrificial ritual.

"It seems the 'Moon Gate' has been making moves for a long time," Lin Yun snorted coldly. "They used this fleet for experiments, trying to find the perfect fusion method to control Earth's biology and technology."

He turned his head, looking at Long Ying and all the Dragon Nation naval elites in the command center.

"Now, I'll give you a lesson."

"The lesson's name is 'On the N Ways an Old-Era Navy Can Die.'"

Lin Yun raised his hand and gently issued an order towards the virtual control console of "Luan Bird One" projected in the air.

"Nuwa, activate 'Gravity Well' mode."

"Target, the sea area where the mutated Ghost Fleet is located."

"Power... ten percent is enough. I'm afraid using too much might accidentally tear the Earth apart."

"Yes, Commander." A gentle yet absolutely obedient electronic female voice echoed in everyone's minds.

The next second.

Above the Mariana Trench, the aerospace carrier "Luan Bird One," codenamed "Zhurong," had a circular area over a kilometer in diameter on its underbelly slowly illuminate with a black, light-devouring glow.

There was no earth-shattering explosion, no dazzling laser.

Only... absolute silence.

On the sea surface below, the "hodgepodge" fleets that had been swaggering about suddenly discovered a terrifying fact.

The sea... stopped flowing.

All waves, all undercurrents, seemed smoothed over in an instant by an invisible giant hand. The entire sea area became like a perfectly smooth pane of blue glass.

Immediately after, the mutated Ghost Fleet, which had been "paying tribute," began to uncontrollably... "float" upwards!

Yes, float!

As if an irresistible, immense suction force was pulling from the shadow in the sky, wrenching them, along with the seawater beneath them, right out of the sea surface!

"Oh! My God! What kind of power is that!"

"Gravity! They altered gravity!"

"Run! Get out of this damn shadow!"

The "hodgepodge" fleet completely collapsed. They frantically turned their ships around, trying to flee the area where a miracle was unfolding.

And at the center of that area.

A complete carrier strike group of seven large warships, along with hundreds of millions of tons of seawater beneath them, was shaped by the invisible gravitational force into a massive "water sphere" suspended in mid-air.

The mutated warships struggled wildly within the water sphere. Their disgusting tumor cannons spewed corrosive acid futilely towards the sky, but those attacks couldn't even penetrate the most basic atmospheric disturbance layer around the "Luan Bird" hulls.

"Gravity well pressure, increase to twenty percent." Lin Yun's voice was like the judgment of death.

*Humβ€”!*

The massive water sphere abruptly contracted inward!

Under a gravitational compression force beyond imagination, those seven ten-thousand-ton behemoths made of special alloy steel, along with their crews who were no longer human nor ghost, were like fruits thrown into a juicer.

Not even a proper wail was uttered.

They were simply... crushed alive!

Steel, flesh, seawater, debris... everything was compressed under that extreme gravity into a high-density metal sphere less than ten meters in diameter, crackling with electrical sparks.

"Cleanup complete." Lin Yun snapped his fingers.

The gravitational field in the sky vanished instantly.

That high-density metal sphere *plopped* back into the sea, failing to even stir up a decent wave.

As if that once-arrogant Ghost Fleet had never existed on this ocean.

The whole world fell into dead silence.

In the dinghai-class warship's command center, you could hear a pin drop.

Long Ying stared dumbfounded at the scene before her. She felt her understanding, her beliefs, everything she had learned in the first half of her life had been utterly crushed in that silent "dimensional strike."

Was this... the war Lin Yun spoke of?

This was no war.

This was clearly... an execution of mortals by a deity!

However, at that moment, deep in the sea, the thoroughly enraged Living Planet Engine, its two continent-sized eyes, suddenly blazed with destructive red light!

An energy shockwave a hundred times stronger than before, mixed with a psychic storm that directly affected life's genetics, swept towards the nine "Luan Birds" in the sky and the Dragon Nation fleet on the sea surface!

"Not good!" Lin Yun's expression changed.

Under the impact of that psychic storm, Long Ying's face instantly turned deathly pale. She clutched her abdomen, beads of sweat rolling down her forehead.

"Lin Yun... I... my stomach hurts so much... the baby... the baby is coming!"
