Chapter 41 Li Sen is captured!

— — Screech. The sound of tires grinding against the ground was teeth-achingly loud. Three police cars pulled up outside a Chinese-style villa. This was Li Sen's home.

"Xiao Zhang, take your team and go in through the back door." Chen Mo issued the order, then led his men into the villa.

"What are you doing!?" The security guard, seeing so many people suddenly forcing their way in, immediately spoke up to stop them. But when he saw the police uniforms on everyone, his voice instantly wilted. He didn't know whether to stop them or let them pass.

"Move!" Long Hao frowned and barked sharply. The security guard hurriedly turned his head away, acting as if he hadn't seen anything.

The villa occupied a large area—as big as four basketball courts—and was entirely Chinese-style architecture. In the center was a rockery with a fish pond below, where a group of chubby koi curiously eyed them. Looking further, three villas stood tall. They had already figured out the layout before coming, so they didn't linger. They headed straight for the central villa of the three. A group of people moved in unison, their footsteps echoing with a rhythmic tap-tap-tap.

"What are you doing!" In the first-floor living room, Li Sen's private bodyguard shouted at the police who had suddenly burst in. While trying to resist, he was also attempting to signal Li Sen, but he was immediately subdued.

The villa had six floors in total. They sent people to take the stairs and search room by room. Before long, good news arrived. The medical team leader, Feng Chun, had been arrested in one of the rooms.

— — Ding. The elevator door opened. Feng Chun, wearing a white lab coat, still had a dazed look on his face, as if he hadn't yet realized how he had been caught so suddenly.

"Brother Mo, this is the case Feng Chun was carrying when he arrived." The officer said, handing it to Chen Mo. The case was square, milky white, with several dials on one side—it was a combination lock case.

"Give us the code!" The officer roared at Feng Chun! But Feng Chun kept his mouth tightly shut, with no intention of speaking. Chen Mo shook his head, had someone find an axe, raised it high, and brought it down.

— — Bang. The axe struck the case's combination lock. Whether it was because of his strength or because the case itself was fragile, the lock core was actually smashed inward. Opening the case, the contents came into view: necklaces, bracelets, and rings.

"It really is these." The two officers holding Feng Chun looked pleased. At the same time, they asked curiously, "Haven't they found Li Sen yet?" As they spoke, the walkie-talkie emitted a crackling static sound.

"Brother Mo, something is not right. We've searched every room twice, but haven't found any trace of Li Sen." "I confirmed before we came that Li Sen is at home and hasn't gone out." Xiao Zhang panted into the walkie-talkie, reporting the situation to Chen Mo.

"Hmm, I see." If he wasn't upstairs, it had to be a secret room or a basement. He had checked the villa's layout beforehand, and there shouldn't be any secret rooms. Xiao Zhang was experienced; if there were one, he wouldn't have missed it.

"Basement." Chen Mo murmured these words, scanning the living room. Basements were often designed with hidden elements from the start. A button might be the mechanism, or a crack in the wall might be the trigger. It wouldn't be easy to find just by looking.

"Speak! Where is the mechanism to enter the basement!!!" Long Hao shouted at the bodyguard who had been pinned to the ground. They had caught them red-handed, the stolen goods were found, but the person was missing. With Li Sen's capabilities, if he escaped today, he could be abroad by tomorrow. That was the charm of "money power."

"Guess." The bodyguard lay on the ground, head tilted up, speaking with disdain. His eyes were full of mockery. Chen Mo couldn't stand his attitude.

"Is the secret compartment to the basement in the living room?" As he said this, he kept his eyes fixed on the man's expression. Micro-expressions cure any stubbornness. "Haha, I told you, guess."

"So, in the first-floor bedroom?" "Guess, why ask me." "The bathroom?" "I don't know." Hmm. Judging by his reaction, the button really was in the bathroom. If they hadn't asked, it would have been hard for a normal person to think of it.

Saying this, he headed straight for the bathroom. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas. He felt along the wall with his right hand, pressing lightly. When he touched a tile in the middle, it suddenly sank inward.

— — Hum. The wall behind him suddenly protruded forward, then moved to the right. A staircase, wide enough for two people to pass through together, appeared.

"Impossible!!!" The bodyguard roared, looking at Chen Mo in astonishment. "You're messing with me, right? You knew the way into the basement all along, didn't you!" No matter how hard he thought about it, he couldn't imagine that Chen Mo had found the answer just from his few words.

Chen Mo turned his head and gave a light smile: "Your Micro-expressions speak for themselves." Long Hao and the other officers stared at each other in bewilderment. This was too incredible. Before coming, they had all looked at the villa's layout plans. There was absolutely no information about a basement on them. If they didn't know, it meant Chen Mo couldn't have known either. The only possibility was what he had just said—Micro-expressions speak. Terrifying!

Chen Mo, seeing their expressions, couldn't be bothered to explain. He shook his head and led the way down. The setup here looked like a KTV, with a disco ball rotating and casting light onto the basement walls. Li Sen looked calm, but in reality, he was incredibly nervous. He sat on the sofa with his legs crossed, surrounded by over a dozen beautiful young women, their gazes nervously assessing the intruders.

The scene made Chen Mo chuckle. "It's good to be rich." In this life, his future was promising, but in his past life, he was truly plain and ordinary. He had graduated from an average university, worked a job with a salary of a few thousand a month that he could see the end of, and marriage was too far off for him. Yet, Li Sen, this old man who was almost ready for the grave, could possess the youth of so many girls. If it were his past life, he would be furious, but in this life, he only wanted to laugh. Times were different now; his own future was something to look forward to.

"What are you doing!" Li Sen was dragged up from the sofa and then handcuffed. He looked at Chen Mo angrily. "I am friends with Mayor Liao, you better be polite to me." Because of his status as a philanthropist, the mayor did indeed show him some deference. But with murder and solid evidence, no one would speak up for him. "You killed three people, what do you think I'm here for?" "Take him away."

...

Elsewhere. Outside a private medical clinic, Xiao Liu led his team in a raid. They grabbed everyone they saw, giving the doctors no time to react. "Search! Find me the human oil!" They had confirmed the target of the raid many times before coming. Without needing much instruction, everyone went into action.

Xiao Liu's gaze fell on a partitioned room. Inside were many instruments, and in the center was an operating table. On the table sat a container filled with a pale yellow liquid, a large, full bottle. Because he had learned beforehand what the item they were looking for looked like, the name of this thing immediately appeared in his mind. Human oil! Or rather, human body fat!
