197: Magnificent Creatures

As Profound Light God Emperor entangled the special being, the tide of battle began to turn.

Without the special being commanding from behind, the Blood Beast Tide's combat power immediately plummeted by more than half; they fought individually, completely lacking coordination.

The Immortal Emperors each sought out Immortal Emperor-level Blood Beasts, beginning their decapitation missions.

As time passed, Immortal Emperor-level Blood Beasts gradually began to be slain.

Two days later.

The Blood Beast Tide collapsed; of the hundreds of Immortal Emperor-level Blood Beasts, fewer than ten remained, roaring furiously, attempting to flee but surrounded by the Immortal Emperors, their escape routes cut off.

The other low-level blood beasts, seeing so many Immortal Emperor-level Blood Beasts killed, had long been scared witless, fleeing desperately into the depths of the Star Domain.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, Profound Light God Emperor had firmly gained the upper hand, practically suppressing the special being.

The strength of this special being was indeed terrifying, having reached the Immortal Emperor Peak; Profound Light God Emperor was only able to suppress it thanks to the advantage of his divine weapon.

But at their level, without using some trump cards or hidden techniques, it was extremely difficult to truly determine life or death; even fighting for decades was quite normal.

Boom—!

After being repelled once more, the special being glanced at the last few dying Immortal Emperor-level Blood Beasts, then withdrew and fled into the distance.

“Hmph, trying to escape?”

Profound Light God Emperor tried his best to stop it, but it ultimately escaped.

Of course, it paid the price of an arm.

As that special being fled, all the Immortal Emperor-level Blood Beasts were quickly annihilated.

Everyone set off again.

This time, the ancient warship traveled much slower; many Immortal Emperors were wounded, and they needed to recover as much as possible before reaching the special being's lair.

The subsequent journey was calm and uneventful, with no further obstacles encountered.

However, some bad news soon arrived.

During the time they were battling the blood beasts, the special beings had not been idle; they had dispatched many Immortal Emperor-level powerhouses, sweeping through several Star Domains.

Upon receiving this news, everyone was enraged.

“Damn it!”

“Accelerate! Full speed ahead!”

“Damn it, this time we must kill those beasts!”

Some Immortal Emperors roared in anger.

They were not only enraged by the special beings' arrogant behavior but also felt as if they were being led by the nose, which filled them with indignation.

Soon, the team began to accelerate.

The special being's lair was located in the Boundary Abyss, a desolate and dangerous place without starlight.

When the powerhouses of the heavens arrived there, without any delay, they immediately came under a fierce attack from the special beings.

“Woo—!”

The special being that had previously escaped stepped forward, letting out a low growl, personally commanding hundreds of powerful Immortal Emperor-level special beings to intercept them.

“Strange, why are all these special beings Immortal Emperor-level, and their numbers so few, even less than the blood beasts?”

An humanoid Immortal Emperor asked in confusion, a bad premonition rising in his heart.

As an Immortal Emperor powerhouse, his perception of unknown dangers was extremely keen; the emergence of such an ominous premonition indicated that something extremely dangerous was about to happen.

In fact, he was not the only one; most of the other Immortal Emperors also had this premonition.

A Devil Emperor of the Demon Race suddenly thought of a possibility, “Do you think, for a final gamble, these special beings wouldn't sacrifice all their low-level kin?”

Their Demon Race often did this; it was not uncommon.

The expressions of the Immortal Emperors couldn't help but change slightly.

This possibility was very high; if it were them, there was an eighty percent chance they would also choose such a desperate gamble.

After all, kin below the Immortal Emperor-level were currently a burden; it would be better to sacrifice them all to accelerate the ancient being's ascension.

Anyway, if they failed, they would all die; if they succeeded, they would be heroes.

“Delays lead to complications; we must resolve that ancient being as quickly as possible!”

Profound Light God Emperor said with utmost seriousness, “Those belonging to Tianxu Palace follow me; the others block these fellows in front!”

“Kill!”

“Kill!”

The battle instantly began.

Behind, a group of Quasi Immortal Emperors were dumbfounded.

They were here to pick up bargains, not to be battlefield spectators; this was completely different from what they had imagined.

There were no low-level special beings; they couldn't get involved at all!

Chii!!

As Profound Light God Emperor led more than ten Tianxu Palace powerhouses to break through all the special beings' blockade and were about to rush into the Boundary Abyss, a sky-covering giant claw suddenly reached out from within the Boundary Abyss, grabbing at them with incredible speed.

Everyone instantly flashed back, simultaneously unleashing their divine weapons to strike at the giant claw.

That sky-covering giant claw was attacked by more than ten Immortal Emperors, but it suffered no damage.

Subsequently, the Tianxu Palace members saw a being resembling a True Dragon emerge from within the Boundary Abyss; its body was extremely magnificent, merely a portion of it extending out of the Boundary Abyss was several light-years in size!

“Roar—!”

The magnificent being let out a furious roar, its voice seemingly piercing through the river of time, coming from the distant Primordial Era, instantly spreading throughout the entire Universe.

“There's actually another Peak being; no wonder that fellow just let us come over!”

Profound Light God Emperor couldn't help but frown.

“You all go in first; this beast is mine!”

Wei Jiang stepped forward, his expression extremely solemn.

“Can you do it?”

A Black Armor Man next to him immediately cast a doubtful look at him; he was also a Domain Guardian, considered Wei Jiang's old rival.

“Or you come?” Wei Jiang glanced at him.

“Vice Palace Master, I think no one can undertake this arduous task except Wei Jiang.”

The Black Armor Man immediately looked at Profound Light.

Everyone was speechless for a moment.

Profound Light God Emperor looked at Wei Jiang, who nodded, “Don't worry, I can last at least an hour!”

“Let's go!”

The others immediately followed behind Profound Light God Emperor, rushing towards the Boundary Abyss from another direction.

“Roar!!”

The magnificent being immediately raised its claw to strike, but Wei Jiang held his spear and blocked it head-on.

“Your opponent is me!”

Wei Jiang's arms trembled slightly, but he still stared intently into the magnificent being's enormous eyes and spoke.

Then, in the next instant, he was sent flying hundreds of millions of miles, shattering countless desolate stars before barely managing to stop.

“Damn it, so strong!”

Wei Jiang wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, feeling as if his entire Imperial Body was about to collapse.

Chii—!

The magnificent being gave him no chance to catch his breath, swinging its claw at him again; it wanted to crush all ants who dared to provoke it with absolute power.

Wei Jiang hastily dodged; he felt his previous decision was a bit rash.

This magnificent being resembling a True Dragon was probably among the most top-tier of Peak beings; with his strength as a Peak Immortal Emperor, let alone lasting an hour, lasting fifteen minutes would be lucky.

“Tsk tsk, so disheveled, need help?”

A nonchalant voice suddenly entered his ears; Wei Jiang hastily turned his head and saw Wu Ning had arrived within a hundred miles of him at some unknown time.

He stood with his hands behind his back, looking at him indifferently.

“It's you? How are you here?!”

Wei Jiang's eyes narrowed slightly; could it be that his injuries were too severe, causing his perception to decrease? He didn't even know when someone appeared at such a close distance.

Wu Ning did not respond to his words but turned to gaze into the magnificent being's giant eyes.

In those cold eyes, it seemed as if the heavens were reflected.
