357: Bigger ants
“Holy crap!”
Everyone around was greatly astonished, not expecting Wu Ning to be so ruthless as to directly blast that person to death on the spot.
Many God Race members couldn't help but show a look of lingering fear, glad they hadn't provoked Wu Ning earlier.
This guy acted without any scruples, killing whenever he pleased, utterly unrestrained. What's more, his strength was terrifyingly powerful; he could suppress a Dao Lord with just a glance, truly unfathomable.
“Bastard!”
The Young Dao Venerable of the Asura God Clan instantly flared with rage, his eyes splitting, “Human Race kid, don’t go too far!”
Wu Ning snorted coldly, “If you don’t have strength, shut up. If you don’t have strength and still dare to threaten me, you’re looking for death!”
“Hmph!”
“Let’s go!”
The Young Dao Venerable of the Asura God Clan snorted in anger, fearing he could no longer suppress the overwhelming rage in his heart, and left without another word, taking the remaining people with him.
The hall was silent. Many people below looked at Wu Ning in fear, not daring to speak for a moment. Even the immortal music and dancing stopped.
Only those on the uppermost level of the hall remained calm.
“Heh heh, the Human Race has truly grown powerful. One person can force the Asura Clan to retreat. How impressive…”
A lavishly dressed Demon Race youth said, somewhat mockingly.
Wu Ning glanced at him and said indifferently, “If you want to die, you can commit suicide. You don’t need to come in front of me to seek attention.”
“You…”
The Demon Race youth’s eyes instantly turned gloomy, just about to erupt in anger, when the Gold-Eyed Dao Lord of the God Race, seeing this, immediately spoke to stop him:
“Enough!”
“Today’s Prodigy gathering is for the exchange of treasures. Fighting is prohibited within the hall. If any of you have grievances, please go outside to resolve them. We have special fighting arenas within our Divine Mountain.”
The Gold-Eyed Dao Lord looked at the Demon Race youth and Wu Ning, then at God Xi, who showed no reaction beside Wu Ning, and continued:
“Furthermore, this treasure exchange does not permit the use of counterfeit or inferior items. Any act of passing off inferior goods as superior is strictly forbidden. Once discovered, do not blame this Lord for being impolite.”
“Now, the treasure exchange continues.”
After saying this, the Gold-Eyed Dao Lord’s figure flashed, and he returned to his seat.
The next moment, the musicians played again, and hundreds of dancers resumed their performance.
Wu Ning’s expression was calm as he continued to enjoy the immortal music and dance, as if nothing had just happened.
The Demon Race youth on the opposite seat gave him a cold glance, snorted inwardly, and did not provoke him further.
As the treasure exchange continued, the previous atmosphere quickly returned. Except for the empty seats of the Asura God Clan, nothing else had changed.
The Human Race Prodigy in the hall quickly completed the exchange of the remaining Chaotic Giant Beasts corpses.
After the Human Race Ancestor Court, it was the turn of the Innate Saint Spirit Clan’s seats, and then the Phoenix Clan.
Wu Ning did not see anything else of interest, though God Xi did exchange for two rare treasures.
About an hour later.
Of the twelve seats on the uppermost level of the hall, everyone else had finished their turn, leaving only Wu Ning and God Xi who had not yet brought out treasures to exchange.
Everyone looked at them, their eyes showing a hint of anticipation.
There was no need to mention God Xi, the beloved daughter of the God Lord of Heavenly Ruins, a God Race princess, her wealth was naturally extraordinary.
As for Wu Ning, this baleful God, from his previous display of three top Low Grade Dao Artifacts, it could be seen that he was also an individual with extremely abundant wealth.
“Will you go first, or shall I?”
God Xi asked softly.
“Ladies first, you go ahead,” Wu Ning replied.
God Xi slowly rose and stepped forward, appearing directly at the very front of the hall. She waved her hand, taking out three treasures.
An immortal divine medicine, the Nine Revolutions Soul Forging Pill, a bottle of Dao Lord spirit essence blood, and a Dao Lord-Grade beast core from a Chaotic Giant Beast.
All three treasures were exceptionally extraordinary, their value comparable to, or even exceeding, top Low Grade Dao Artifacts.
Everyone immediately began to bid and contend for them. To acquire these three items, they also started to bring out some of their most prized possessions.
After a round of competition, the Nine Revolutions Soul Forging Pill was ultimately acquired by someone from the Innate Saint Spirit Clan.
A bottle of Dao Lord spirit essence blood was taken by Night Dust, while the beast core of the Chaotic Giant Beast fell into the hands of someone from the Dragon Clan.
God Xi also acquired a divine wood tree seed, a fist-sized piece of eternal immortal gold, and a mysterious crystal containing the power of Origin Dao.
Finally, it was Wu Ning’s turn.
He flashed to the very front of the hall, and with a casual wave, three weapon Magic Treasures appeared in the air, still three top Low Grade Dao Artifacts.
“It’s three more Low Grade Dao Artifacts, and all of them are of superior quality!”
“Adding the previous three, that’s already six…”
“Where did this guy get so many Low Grade Dao Artifacts? Is he perhaps a Great Master Artifact Refiner?”
Seeing the three divine light-radiating Dao Artifacts, everyone couldn't help but whisper.
“Perhaps this guy robbed an Artifact Refining Great Master, you never know!”
The Demon Race youth mumbled.
Upon hearing this, the person from the Innate Saint Spirit Clan beside him couldn't help but glance at him, sighing inwardly that this brother truly wasn't afraid of death, daring to provoke that baleful God. They wondered what gave him the courage to court death like this.
The three Low Grade Dao Artifacts Wu Ning brought out were a Thunder-Fire Divine Hammer, a Yin and Yang Umbrella, and a Sun-Shooting Divine Bow.
The bidders below were mostly Young Dao Venerable powerhouses of various races.
Wu Ning scanned the crowd and ultimately chose a sapling of the Glazed Gold Fruit Tree, an immortal divine medicine, an Origin Dao Crystal, and a Dao-Grade Formation Plate.
At this point, everyone on the uppermost level of the hall had completed their exchanges.
Next, it was the turn of the hundred seats on the middle level. Most of them were from various large branches of the God Race, with a few from the God Race’s top affiliated forces.
Most of them were backed by Immortal-Grade forces with Celestial Sovereign powerhouses guarding them, and the items they brought out were quite extraordinary.
However, compared to the people in the twelve seats on the uppermost level, they were a far cry.
After watching for a while, the Demon Race and Dragon Clan were the first to leave, followed by others who also departed.
Wu Ning originally wanted to enjoy the immortal music and dance a bit longer, and also see if other God Race Prodigies had any good items, but remembering he needed to visit a few Ancestor Court Elders, he left with God Xi.
Some people in the hall looked at his disappearing figure, a hint of awe flashing in their eyes.
But some still harbored other thoughts.
“Hmph! A mere Dao Lord is so arrogant. Now he has offended the Asura God Clan. Let’s see how you die then!”
The golden-haired man from the Heavenly Mirror God Clan snorted coldly.
He was very displeased and jealous of Wu Ning’s closeness to God Xi, and also extremely envious of Wu Ning’s talent. Unfortunately, he lacked the strength to trouble Wu Ning, but he didn't think Wu Ning would have a good end.
The more monstrous a Prodigy, the faster they often die.
In front of the overlord-level force, the Asura God Clan, a small Dao Lord was merely a slightly larger ant.
There were many others present with similar thoughts, such as those from the Arid God Race and the Barbarian God Race.
They sneered inwardly, seemingly already foreseeing Wu Ning being suppressed and killed by a powerful being of the Asura God Clan.
