415: Chapter 413: The World of Creation, the Nine-Headed Lion Erupts
On the first floor of the heavenly creation pagoda, space shook violently as magnificent divine light flickered, creating a bizarre and kaleidoscopic scene.
They were all struggling intensely, constantly circulating their own Dao Laws to resist and stabilize themselves, but to no avail.
The Soul Lamps on the surrounding walls flickered, and the remnant souls within seemed to sense the external change, beginning to struggle violently. Amidst their struggle, dust suddenly fell from the ceiling of the first floor, revealing an ancient character written with powerful strokes, containing the power of a Seal.
“Buzz!”
The Divine script lit up, white divine light condensing into form before crashing down.
“Buzz!”
With a hum, the power of the Seal pressed down, causing the swaying Soul Lamps to suddenly still, and the bizarre scenes gradually faded away.
Gu Shengge felt the surrounding energy gradually calm down. He could now mobilize a portion of his own Great Dao of Space. However, in the instant the light dimmed, Gu Shengge sensed the aura of a completely new world's Dao.
His vision shifted from dark to light as the riotous energy settled.
The scene before Gu Shengge's eyes became clear; this was indeed a brand new Major Thousand Worlds with complete Dao Laws. This was a true Major Thousand Worlds!
Before Gu Shengge could think further, he scanned with his divine eyes. A wasteland stretching for hundreds of millions of miles came into view, but he saw no sign of the Nine-Headed Lion or Dao Monarch Ziyuan.
He quickly inspected his Divine Soul and found no anomalies. This was not an illusion created by the Nine-Headed Lion, nor could it be any other illusion. After being scanned by the Double-Pupiled Divine Eyes, no Dao Law could deceive him.
Only then did Gu Shengge begin to explore this world. As far as his eyes could see, not a single blade of grass grew, and there was no sign of life.
The sky was azure and the sun was bright, yet the only strange thing was the complete absence of any living beings.
Gu Shengge sat cross-legged on the ground. As his Divine Thought rose, his Dao Principles reached toward the heavens, directly communicating with the Dao of this world. The answers to everything Gu Shengge wanted to know were there.
Of course, the prerequisite was that Gu Shengge could suppress the Heavenly Dao of this world.
As his Divine Thought intruded, Gu Shengge was startled by the terror of this world. The myriad Daos were embedded with Restriction Divine Runes, as if they were wearing a layer of heavy armor, leaving him with nowhere to start. A supreme powerhouse must have reinforced them with a Seal.
Gu Shengge was not impatient; he adopted a strategy of responding to all changes with stillness, slowly unraveling the mystery.
Time passed, and the sun slowly vanished below the horizon. Darkness pushed forward from the other side of the world, gradually plunging it into gloom.
Beneath the dim sky, a sliver of faint light remained at the edge of the horizon. Suddenly, a grand roar echoed through the empty world.
The sound was magnificent and the syllables obscure, sounding like the chanting of an ancient Sacrificial prayer.
Gu Shengge opened his eyes to see a multitude of dark figures kneeling on the previously deserted wasteland.
These things had no physical form, resembling clouds of black mist, yet they possessed human shapes.
They seemed to have received some kind of calling, their movements perfectly synchronized.
Gu Shengge turned to look in the direction they were worshiping. At the end of the world, stars had appeared at some point, and a Black tower pierced the clouds. The grand sacrificial sounds were emanating from that Black tower.
In the area within ten miles of the Black tower, the ground was densely packed with these Black phantoms.
There were some around Gu Shengge as well, but the small patch where he stood was empty, as if it had been intentionally left for him.
It was impossible for him to kowtow, but he did not act rashly either, watching in silence.
Further away, the phantoms of massive Vicious Beasts were roaring, their bellows scattering the clouds in the sky.
“ 轟!”
A violent explosion sounded in the distance, and a pillar of fire shot into the sky. The blazing flames burned fiercely like a newly born sun, illuminating the world.
Simultaneously, a ten-thousand-zhang-tall figure pushed through the horizon. The Nine-Headed Lion, having restored its nine heads, leapt into the sky.
It crashed down, causing countless Black phantoms beneath it to shatter and vanish. The earth shook, tearing open a chasm thousands of miles long, and vast numbers of Black phantoms were dispersed.
Gu Shengge's heart tightened. He had to admit, the Nine-Headed Lion was too aggressive, erupting into violence before even clarifying the situation.
Or perhaps, did it already know the situation of this world?
The protruding beam is the first to rot. Gu Shengge did not plan to act at this time. He restrained his cultivation, hid his aura, and quietly retreated into the darker regions further away.
For some unknown reason, the Nine-Headed Lion had gone completely mad, wildy running across the wasteland. Wherever it passed, the ground cracked and the mountains shook.
Those worshiping black shadows were crushed and dispersed directly, showing extreme ferocity.
While observing in secret, Gu Shengge happened to see a familiar figure in the distance. Dao Monarch Ziyuan had actually arrived nearby, likely drawn by that Black tower.
They had inexplicably arrived here while inside the heavenly creation pagoda. Perhaps the truth could only be discovered by reaching the location of the heavenly creation pagoda.
The Nine-Headed Lion's roars grew even louder; the sound alone was enough to make countless black shadows vanish. This world seemed to have finally noticed the anomaly.
“Dong!”
The distant tower vibrated, emitting a dull bell sound from within.
The bell toll echoed for ten thousand miles, and those massive Vicious Beast phantoms suddenly rose up and charged toward the Nine-Headed Lion.
They hissed and roared, their bodies erupting with terrifying energy fluctuations and the emergence of Dao Laws. None of them were easy targets.
The Nine-Headed Lion was incredibly arrogant. Seeing the charging Black phantoms, it showed no fear. Its claws swung, shredding the nearest few, and its nine heads took turns breathing scorching flames that ignited large swathes of the wasteland. Everywhere it went turned into a sea of fire.
“heavenly creation pagoda! Your power is weak now. Do you think you can still trap me? Today, I shall smash your Incarnation and devour a portion of your Origin. Let's see how you will continue to collect the Faith of Ten Thousand Worlds!”
The Nine-Headed Lion charged forward, and those massive Vicious Beast phantoms could not stop it for even a moment.
Gu Shengge was secretly alarmed. The Nine-Headed Lion indeed knew something, and it was unafraid of the bizarre sights of this world.
He looked further away at the figure hidden in the darkness. Dao Monarch Ziyuan had also heard the Nine-Headed Lion's roar, and his gaze was now fixed on the Black tower, seemingly preparing to take action.
Gu Shengge also looked at the Black tower. According to what the Nine-Headed Lion said, a portion of the heavenly creation pagoda's Origin might be hidden within it.
As for those densely packed black shadows, they didn't actually have much combat power. He was the closest to the heavenly creation pagoda, so if he rushed over now, he would surely gain the upper hand.
However, the Nine-Headed Lion's words might not be trustworthy. That fellow was extremely cunning, and its sudden outburst this time was likely not that simple.
Gu Shengge was in no hurry to reach the heavenly creation pagoda. Instead, he kept his eyes on Dao Monarch Ziyuan and followed him.
Dao Monarch Ziyuan continuously broke through those Black phantoms, but the process was not as easy as imagined. Within a hundred miles of the Black tower, the black shadows became increasingly solid, and the power contained within them was very strong, preventing even the Mahayana Realm Dao Monarch Ziyuan from advancing quickly.(End of chapter)
