451: Chapter 449: The Scheme Fails

Sasi's rage had not yet subsided when a scene that infuriated him even more occurred in the blink of an eye.

With a roar, a massive black vortex appeared in the sky. Peering through his Double Pupils, Gu Shengge could see the vast, boundless Void Realm beyond the vortex; it was indeed a passage to leave this place of strife.

A Dao Seal condensed in Gu Shengge's palm, which he applied to the taichu dao bell.

"Rise!"

The Dao Seal attached to the taichu dao bell, constructing a golden energy barrier that lifted everyone below into the high clouds.

Sasi, however, grew increasingly excited, taunting, "Onno, you are truly muddled. Attacking Gu Shengge at a time like this—isn't that just pushing him toward me? It seems the dominance over our future will surely belong to me!"

Onno said nothing, but the light on that massive golden tentacle grew even more dazzling.

Seeing this, Sasi looked at Gu Shengge. "Kid, I've done my best. Whether they can escape this place now depends on your own action!"

His stance was clear: he would no longer help Gu Shengge send the people out and was only responsible for keeping the exit vortex open.

Electric light flickered in Gu Shengge's Double Pupils. He hadn't intended to join this struggle so soon, but Onno wasn't giving him the chance.

"Thunder!"

As soon as Gu Shengge spoke, blood-colored Tribulation Thunder erupted from his Double Pupils. A massive thunder Dragon circled his side, its violent electrical arcs warping space and blurring his figure.

The rampaging power of the thunder, however, was crystal clear. Massive energy fluctuated, and the pressure it emitted made Sasi's demonic creatures retreat in haste, fleeing far away.

Onno's gaze was somber but showed no fear; golden divine light flickered in his eyes, as if trying to compete for brilliance with Gu Shengge's Double Pupils.

"Slay!"

Gu Shengge unleashed the blood-colored thunder Dragon. With the reinforcement of the Great Dao of Space, it arrived at Onno's side almost instantaneously.

The blood-colored giant Dragon, carrying a body of violent thunder, crashed heavily into the half-luminous body.

"Boom! Intense electrical arcs spread, and blood-red color diffused over Onno, instantly submerging his originally luminous body. Even more blood-red electrical arcs seeped inside him, wandering and intertwining like blood-colored veins.

Only Onno could feel the agony within.

Amidst the thunderous light, the hideous and ugly half of Sasi's face became even more terrifying. He and Onno shared a single body; although most of Gu Shengge's attack hit Onno, a portion also fell upon Sasi.

While the thunder spread, Gu Shengge did not rush to attack. Holding the taichu dao bell in one hand, he released Heavenly Tribulation thunder to shatter the tentacle, then threw the bell into the sky, where it fell into the vortex.

Inside the taichu dao bell, the Cultivators struggled to steady themselves. Watching that world grow smaller and smaller in their eyes, they felt as if they were waking from a dream.

They were free and safe.

After the taichu dao bell escorted the people out, the barrier dissolved. Without a moment's pause, it charged back into the spatial vortex.

The bell's chime vibrated as the taichu dao bell descended once more, landing above Gu Shengge's head and hanging down thousands of Chains of Order to protect him.

By this time, Onno was powerless to launch a violent attack. With Gu Shengge and Sasi striking together, he could only take the beating.
