203: Chapter 203 Arrival at Devil's Island!

At the end of the dead and cold Boundary Sea, the scenery changed.

Since the fleet passed through the Forgotten Route cleansed by Heavenly Dao Karma, even the Heavenly Court soldiers, who were accustomed to mountains of corpses and seas of blood, trembled from the depths of their Souls.

Ahead was no longer scattered star wreckage or chaotic Void Realm storms.

It was a floating, hideous continent.

That continent was indescribably massive, quietly suspended in the darkness of the Boundary Sea, like the carcass of a Primeval Behemoth crouching in the abyss of the Universe. The continent's outline was irregular, covered in mountain-like veins and abyss-like wounds; the massive bone spurs rising into the sky were its Peaks, and the earth was dark red, like flesh and blood that had dried and solidified for countless eons.

Occasionally, some massive black metallic creations could be seen, eerily fused with those fleshy tissues; it was impossible to tell if the flesh had grown into the shape of buildings, or if the buildings themselves were cast from flesh and blood.

This is Devils Island.

Rumor has it that it is the corpse of an ancient Demon God that fell during the Chaos Era, transformed into an indestructible War Fortress after countless years of modification by dark beings.

Outside the island, a layer of even more unsettling black glazed canopy shrouded and wrapped the entire Devils Island within.

The canopy was not smooth.

Looking closely, it was covered with billions of painfully twisted human faces, silently roaring and struggling, turning into dense, evil dark runes that slowly circulated on the canopy.

Every face was the resentful Soul of a powerful being that had been devoured and enslaved, and every rune was a corrupted Law of depravity; together, they constructed the strongest defense of Devils Island—the Dark Canopy.

This canopy didn't just defend against physical and energy attacks; more terrifyingly, it constantly emitted a horrific aura that polluted the mind and tempted one toward depravity.

"Buzz—"

The moment the protective starlight of the zhou tian star boat came into contact with that aura, it emitted an overwhelmed hum, its light dimming slightly.

Within the fleet, Heavenly Soldiers with weaker cultivation took just one look at that Dark Canopy, and countless Heart Demons were born in their Sea of Consciousness, with bloodshot veins beginning to appear in their eyes.

"All troops on alert! Focus your minds and guard your hearts!" Yuhua Immortal Lord shouted with a grave expression.

He had never seen such an evil and strange Formation; just the aura it emitted was enough to shake the mind of a Golden Immortal. How terrifying would it be if they actually attacked?

"Jie jie jie..."

"He he he..."

"Xi xi xi..."

Three distinct yet equally evil and piercing laughs echoed from within the Dark Canopy, seemingly penetrating time and space to sound directly in the depths of everyone's Divine Soul.

The laughter was full of high-and-mighty mockery and cruelty, like looking at a group of prey that had fallen into a trap.

Immediately after, the surface of the Dark Canopy writhed, and three towering surges of Devilish Qi emerged and took shape.

The person on the left was the shortest and most bloated, his skin an unhealthy waxy yellow, covered in pustules of varying sizes, some of which were bursting and oozing disgusting, multicolored pus. With every breath he took, the surrounding Void Realm seemed to be poisoned, even light became distorted and blurred. Just standing there, he made people feel an aura of plague where all things withered and life was severed.

Lord of Plague, Grand Unity Golden Immortal Middle Stage.

The person on the right was a terrifying figure as tall and thin as a bamboo pole. He looked like a dried corpse that had been desiccated for countless years, wearing tattered black robes, his exposed skin dry and wrinkled like decaying old tree bark. Where he stood, the resentful Soul runes on the Dark Canopy decayed and festered at a speed visible to the naked eye. A power of the Law representing end and decay swirled around him, as if it could lead all things in the world to the end of rot.

Lord of Decay, also a terrifying existence at the Grand Unity Golden Immortal Middle Stage.

The one in the middle had the most bizarre aura.

He had no fixed form.

At times, he turned into a twisted shadow covered in eyeballs and tentacles; at other times, he became a black figure whose face couldn't be seen clearly but reminded one of all the deepest fears in their heart. He didn't even need to use any power; his "existence" alone was enough to trigger the most primitive fears in a living being's heart.

The Heavenly Court soldiers present took just one look at him and felt as if they had fallen into the most horrific nightmare, seeing scenes of their own tragic deaths and hallucinations of their friends and family being slaughtered.

Lord of Fear, the head of the Three Island Lords, proficient in the Laws of Soul and illusion, most sinister and cunning, his cultivation had surprisingly reached the Grand Unity Golden Immortal Late Stage.

Three genuine Grand Unity-level Demonic Lords, with an attitude of looking down on ants, coldly watched the Heavenly Court Fleet which was as if facing a great enemy.

"He he he, such fresh flesh, such fresh Souls!" Lord of Plague let out a harsh laugh like an owl, his cloudy eyes greedily scanning the zhou tian star boat. "The quality of the living beings in this fleet is very high; they can be used to cultivate my latest 'Ultimate Catastrophe'!"

"No, their flesh and blood should turn into decaying dust to nourish this land beneath my feet," Lord of Decay countered with a dry voice that sounded like two pieces of sandpaper rubbing together.

"Shut up, you two fools," the Lord of Fear's voice rang out, dreamlike yet carrying supreme majesty. "Their Souls are the most precious treasure. If such pure and powerful Souls are filled with fear, what delicious nourishment they will be! The Great Master will surely like this offering."

Their conversation was not hidden at all, crudely deciding the "use" of the millions of living beings in the Heavenly Court Fleet.

It felt as if three butchers were discussing how to carve up a fat pig waiting to be slaughtered.

This contempt instantly ignited the fury of all the Heavenly Court soldiers.

"Bullshit! Stop your mother's dog-farting!"

An earth-shattering roar exploded across the entire starry sky.

Sun Wukong's golden fur stood on end, and his Fiery Golden Eyes seemed about to spit fire. He did a Somersault out of the fleet, and the ruyi jingu bang in his hand grew with the wind, turning into a sky-propping pillar, pointing from afar at the three arrogant Demonic Lords.

"A bunch of bedbugs hiding in a turtle shell, how dare you talk big in front of Old Sun?" Sun Wukong grinned, revealing a row of snow-white fangs, his Battle Intent as wild as a volcano about to erupt. "Your Grandpa Monkey is here! Hurry up and wash your necks, then stretch them out for Old Sun to smash into pieces!"

The frustration of having his thunder stolen by Li Lunhui just now was now completely transformed into towering Battle Intent.

This time, no one should even think about stealing it! This top contribution, Sun Wukong was determined to take it!

He wanted to use one strike of his staff to smash this bullshit canopy, along with those three flies inside, into fine powder.

Lord of Plague glanced at Sun Wukong, sensing his powerful aura of the Taiyi Golden Immortal Peak; far from being afraid, he laughed even more greedily: "Oh? A monkey? Such strong vitality, such blazing Battle Intent! Excellent, excellent! Using you as a culture dish for the 'Super Virus' couldn't be more appropriate!"

"Noisy!"

Sun Wukong was fuming with rage from that disgusting gaze and was about to swing his staff and take action.

"Wait."

A cool voice came from behind him.

Li Changsheng, in clothes as white as snow and holding a wooden sword, walked slowly to Sun Wukong's side.

He didn't even look at the three Demonic Lords, but locked his gaze on the Dark Canopy composed of billions of resentful Souls, a hint of a Sword Cultivator's unique disgust and sharpness flashing in his eyes.

"Father said before that this battle is a competition to see whose contribution is greater."

Li Changsheng's voice wasn't loud, but it clearly reached Sun Wukong's ears: "This turtle shell should be cut open by me. If you take action, wouldn't you be stealing my top contribution?"

His words were plain, yet full of an unquestionable aloofness.

Hearing this, Sun Wukong immediately became anxious, his monkey eyes wide: "You little kid, what nonsense are you talking! Old Sun stood out first, so this top contribution naturally belongs to Old Sun! Your broken wooden sword is so soft, can it even break this turtle shell? Better watch Old Sun settle the Universe with one strike!"

"My sword is enough," Li Changsheng replied calmly, but that innate confidence carried more weight than any boastful words.

"You..." Sun Wukong shouted in anger.

These two, in front of the enemy's three top bosses, were actually having an internal conflict on the spot again over the issue of "stealing the kill."

The three Demonic Lords were stunned for a moment, then let out even more unrestrained mockery.

"Hahahaha! This is killing me! Are these the invaders? They started arguing among themselves before the fight even began?" Lord of Fear's voice carried a strange magic, amplifying the surrounding mockery. "Truly a bunch of pathetic insects."

At that moment, Li Xuan's lazy yet majestic voice came from the imperial throne, interrupting everyone's arguing and mockery.

"Enough."

Just two words, yet they seemed to contain the power of Will Manifests as Law.

Sun Wukong and Li Changsheng both shut their mouths at the same time and turned back to look at the imperial throne in unison.

Li Xuan slowly stood up from his throne and walked to the bow of the ship. His gaze calmly swept over the three arrogant Demonic Lords as if looking at three insignificant ants, finally landing on the indestructible Dark Canopy.

The curve of his mouth carried a hint of playfulness.

"Don't you two want to see who is superior?"

Li Xuan's voice wasn't loud, but it clearly spread throughout the entire fleet and also entered the Dark Canopy.

"Very well, this Emperor will now give you this opportunity."

His gaze fell on Sun Wukong and Li Changsheng respectively, carrying an unquestionable majesty as he spoke word by word.

"This canopy shall be your first trial."

"Whoever can break it first will be credited with the top contribution of this battle!"
