93: Chapter 93 Gazing at the Southern Heavenly Gate

The zhou tian star boat stopped at the edge of the Immortal Domain.

A ship had intruded into a mythological painting.

Outside the ship was a churning sea of colored clouds, an Immortal Qi that even Saints of the mortal world dared not approach.

Inside the ship.

The consorts, having just escaped from the gates of hell, were protected by Li Xuan and finally caught their breath.

Their faces were pale, and they looked at the fairyland outside the ship, their bodies still trembling slightly.

The Immortal Qi, filtered by Li Xuan, flowed into their bodies, tempering their Dao foundations.

It was fortunate.

And yet, lingering fear remained.

Their children, those six little ancestors, treated this place as a new playground.

One by one, they frolicked on the deck, chasing the flowing light of the Immortal Qi.

That Immortal Qi, which would cause an ordinary person to explode upon touching even a wisp, was something they played with happily.

The scene was heartwarming, yet filled with absurdity.

Only Li Xuan stood at the prow, silent.

His gaze looked out billions of miles away.

Staring at the end of the immortal mist.

There, a magnificent portal stood between heaven and earth.

"Husband, is that the Southern Heaven Gate?"

Consort Xiao Yu walked to Li Xuan's side, following his gaze; her face held shock and longing.

The distance was too great, and they could only see a blurry yet magnificent outline.

But that majesty still made them feel awe.

They couldn't help but want to bow down.

"How spectacular. It's billions of times larger than all the city gates of our Great Xia combined."

"This is truly a place where immortals live!"

Several consorts gathered around, exclaiming in wonder.

They did not see.

Li Xuan, beside them, showed no amazement.

His expression was very solemn.

"Daddy, that big gate doesn't look good."

The second princess, Li Qingyue, who had been quiet, suddenly tugged on Li Xuan's sleeve.

Her voice was milky and childish.

Her Lunar Holy Body was most sensitive to energy.

Even if she couldn't see it clearly, she sensed an uncomfortable deathly silence and decay from the distant portal.

Li Xuan lowered his head, patted his daughter's head, and said nothing.

In his double pupils.

That Southern Heaven Gate was not a sacred immortal portal at all.

It was a corpse.

A huge, broken, slowly dying corpse.

Yes, a corpse.

The portal of heaven, which should have been cast from immortal gold and eternal, now looked like a piece of rotten wood dried by the wind for billions of years.

On the lintel, a saber scar had slashed down.

From the top left corner, it cut diagonally through to the bottom right corner.

The entire Southern Heaven Gate was almost split in two.

The scar was terrifyingly black, exuding an aura of destruction and ominousness.

Wisps of black mist were drifting out from the cracks of the scar.

Wherever the black mist passed, the Law of the Immortal Domain was corroded and twisted.

The colorful Immortal Qi also became turbid, turning into grayish Death Qi, falling heavily into the sea of clouds below.

This was no immortal gate.

This was a huge source of pollution, spreading poison throughout the entire Immortal Domain.

This Immortal Domain was terminally ill.

This scar was the most fatal and conspicuous wound on its body.

Li Xuan could not imagine that any power could leave such an indelible wound on the Southern Heaven Gate.

This was no longer something a Great Emperor could do.

The existence that wielded this blow likely had a Realm that surpassed an immortal.

"It seems this Immortal Domain is not a peaceful place either."

Li Xuan muttered to himself, his expression remaining as usual.

The more it was like this, the more interesting it became.

If the Immortal Domain were truly peaceful and prosperous, wouldn't it be boring for him to bring his family here for a trip?

A post-war wasteland landscape like this was actually interesting.

"Husband, what's wrong? Why have you been so quiet?"

Consort Xiao Yu was sharp-minded and noticed Li Xuan's abnormality.

Li Xuan withdrew his gaze, his expression returning to calm.

He turned around, looked at his worried wives, and smiled easily.

"It's nothing."

"I was just thinking that this gate is a bit old, looks like it hasn't been repaired for many years, and I wonder if the property management fees have been paid."

He casually spoke a lame joke from his past life.

"Property management fees?"

Consort Xiao Yu and the others were indeed confused, but seeing Li Xuan's relaxed look, their doubts dissipated.

In their hearts, their husband was omnipotent.

Even if the sky fell, he could hold it up.

A gate that looked a bit old naturally didn't count for much.

"Alright, don't just watch, take the time to adapt to the Law here. Although the Law of this Immortal Domain is broken, it is still a great supplement for you."

Li Xuan gave guidance.

"Try to guide the Immortal Qi to temper your Physical Body and Divine Soul; it will be beneficial for your future Breakthrough to the immortal Dao."

As he spoke, his thoughts stirred, and the Great Emperor Domain enveloping everyone quietly changed.

Several tiny "holes" opened on the protective shield.

Several wisps of pure yet neutralized Immortal Qi flowed gently into the bodies of the consorts.

"Ah..."

The Immortal Qi circulated throughout their bodies, making them feel extremely comfortable, as if they were being reborn.

Their Physical Body and Divine Soul were rapidly transforming under this power.

Seeing that they had entered the state, Li Xuan nodded and refocused his attention on the distant Southern Heaven Gate.

"Since we're here, we have to go over and take a look."

With a thought, the zhou tian star boat hummed and changed direction.

It turned into a streak of starlight and flew towards that broken heavenly gate.

The speed was neither fast nor slow.

The distance closed.

The true appearance of the Southern Heaven Gate was revealed more and more clearly to everyone.

It was too big.

The zhou tian star boat itself was a behemoth, but in front of the Southern Heaven Gate, it was as small as a speck of dust.

They felt their own insignificance, as if looking up at a bottomless sacred mountain.

On the gate pillars, those ancient reliefs representing the sun, moon, stars, wind, rain, thunder, and lightning were mottled and full of cracks.

They had lost their charm.

On the lintel, the three ancient characters for "Southern Heaven Gate," formed by Dao runes, were also dim.

The character "Heaven" was even split in half by that terrifying saber scar, leaving only half, exuding ominousness.

An atmosphere of sorrow and deathly silence permeated the air.

This did not look like an immortal gate.

It looked more like a huge tomb standing between heaven and earth.

"Buzz—"

Just at this moment, the small wooden sword held in the arms of the eldest prince, Li Changsheng, suddenly emitted a high-pitched sword hum.

In the sword hum, there was trembling and excitement.

As if the sword soul had been awakened by the aura of a mortal enemy.

Li Changsheng was startled by this change.

He looked down at his "toy," his big eyes full of confusion.

He could feel an incomparable Saber Intent filled with the will of destruction seeping out from the scar on the gate.

It was confronting the wooden sword in his hand from afar.

His innate Chaos sword heart was pounding violently at this moment.

It was not fear.

It was the excitement of finding a worthy opponent.

"Interesting."

Li Xuan glanced at the wooden sword in his son's arms and chuckled.

This little guy was probably treating that Saber Intent, which had remained immortal for billions of years, as a new "sword-grinding stone."

He didn't stop him, but instead wanted to see.

Whether the supreme Saber Intent that slashed the heavenly gate was stronger, or his son's Chaos Dao of the sword was better.

The zhou tian star boat stopped slowly.

It stopped in front of the Southern Heaven Gate, above the huge plaza paved with white immortal jade but covered in cracks.

Li Xuan's gaze fixed.

His double pupils saw through the dilapidated scene before him.

They landed on the white jade steps behind the gate leading to an unknown world.

At the very bottom of the steps.

A figure was sitting there.

It was an old soldier.

Wearing tattered silver armor, his body hunched over.

The armor had lost its luster, full of scratches left by weapons and holes eroded by wind and frost.

His hair was withered yellow, draped messily, almost covering his face.

Beside him, a rusted iron spear with a broken half leaned diagonally.

He just leaned against the cold gate pillar, motionless, as if he had become a part of this dilapidated world.

He had become a stone statue.

If not for Li Xuan perceiving the faint vitality within him.

He would probably have really mistaken him for a corpse.

Seemingly having sensed the arrival of the zhou tian star boat.

That stone statue.

Moved slightly.
