628: Chapter 628 Cutting Melons and Vegetables

"Everyone, she alone has collected at least one thousand tokens. If we kill her, we can split the tokens equally," a bald man shouted.

"Are you crazy? She dares to do this, so she must have the confidence to back it up."

"What's there to be afraid of? There are many of us; we can wear her down until she dies." The bald man scanned his surroundings, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly. "There are at least five hundred people here. No matter how good she is at fighting, how many can she take on?"

From the crowd, a tall, thin man was the first to step out.

He carried a long saber on his shoulder, his pace unhurried, with a smile on his face.

Behind him, eight people followed sparsely; some held sabers, some gripped swords, and others clutched Jade Talismans in their hands, their eyes filled with greed.

"Fellow Daoist." The tall, thin man walked up to Qin Yu, cupped his hands in a salute, and smiled amiably. "I am Liu Mang, a Loose Cultivator. I saw that you had a bountiful harvest just now, so I came specifically to offer my congratulations."

Qin Yu glanced at him without speaking.

Liu Mang did not get angry; he rubbed his hands together and said with a grin, "Fellow Daoist, look, this grand competition has no rules; it's all about individual ability. You've taken so many tokens all by yourself, you can't possibly swallow them all, right? Why not share some with us brothers? Let's make friends."

Tan Yun frowned, his hand pressing against the hilt of his sword, and he took half a step forward.

Qin Yu raised her hand to stop him.

"You want tokens?" She looked at Liu Mang, her tone indifferent.

"Not want, it's sharing," Liu Mang corrected, his smile unchanged. "Let's just be friends; it'll be easier to meet in the future in the Immortal Realm."

Qin Yu laughed. "What did you say your name was again?"

"Liu Mang."

"A hooligan?" Qin Yu tilted her head. "You certainly didn't pick the wrong name."

Liu Mang's smile stiffened for a moment, and a trace of coldness flashed in his eyes.

The eight people behind him also changed expressions, their fists clenching involuntarily.

"Fellow Daoist, do you prefer a toast to a beating?" Liu Mang's tone turned cold.

Qin Yu did not answer.

She tilted her head and glanced around—those standing on the hilltops, those hiding behind the bushes, those lurking in the crowd—all pairs of eyes were fixed on her.

Some were hesitant, some were restless, and some were still watching.

It seemed that it wasn't just these eight people who wanted to rob her; all these people wanted to rob her. It was just that no one wanted to be the first to step out, and Liu Mang was just here to test the waters.

"Who else?" Qin Yu's voice was not loud, but everyone nearby heard it clearly.

The hilltop fell silent for a moment.

"Whoever else wants to share the tokens, stand out." Qin Yu scanned the area. "All together, it saves trouble."

After three breaths of silence, a burly man with a fleshy face walked out from the crowd, carrying a mountain-opening axe, the blade still stained with wet blood.

Ten people followed behind him.

"Count me, Old Zhao, as one."

Another sinister voice came from behind the bushes, and a man in black walked out, with a string of bone bells hanging from his waist, jingling as he walked.

Six people followed behind him, all with pale faces and cold eyes.

"Count me in."

"And me."

"Add me to the list."

One after another, dozens more people walked out.

Some came alone, some in groups of three or five, some wore masks, and some didn't even bother showing their Magic Treasure, just standing empty-handed in front of Qin Yu.

In a short moment, fifty or sixty people were already standing in front of Qin Yu.

Liu Mang laughed.

"Fellow Daoist, look, everyone wants them. You alone can't defeat so many people, why bother? Hand over the tokens, and we won't make things difficult for you."

Tan Yun's face turned livid, his hand already gripping his sword hilt.

Yan Nuo and Han Feng exchanged a look and stepped forward simultaneously.

Nangong Xue poked her head out from behind Qin Yu, looked at the crowd, then at Qin Yu, and whispered, "There are too many of them, should we run?"

Qin Yu shook her head.

She looked at the overwhelming crowd in front of her and laughed.

"I haven't stretched my muscles in a long time."

Before her voice had faded, she moved.

She gripped the hunyuan hammer with one hand, and in a flash, she was in front of Liu Mang.

Liu Mang's pupils constricted, and he instinctively swung his saber to block.

Clang—!

The long saber snapped in two, and the hammer head smashed into his chest; the sound of breaking ribs was clearly audible.

Liu Mang was sent flying backward as if struck by a mountain, spraying blood from his mouth, rolling on the ground several times before passing out.

"Attack!" someone shouted loudly.

Dozens of people attacked simultaneously, spiritual light exploding as Magic Treasures flew together—Flying Swords, long sabers, golden seals, bronze mirrors, Jade Talismans, and Talismans all blasted towards Qin Yu from all directions.

Qin Yu did not dodge or avoid.

The chaos cloak automatically activated, and a mysterious yellow light enveloped her entire body.

Those Magic Treasures struck the light shield like clay oxen entering the sea, bouncing off silently. The Flying Swords snapped, the golden seals shattered, the bronze mirrors exploded, and the Talismans burned to ashes.

"What?"

"What kind of defensive Magic Treasure is this?"

Someone screamed in terror.

Qin Yu did not answer; the hunyuan hammer in her hand had already smashed out.

One swing smashed into the crowd, and three Cultivators were swept by the force of the hammer, their bodies flying out like rags, blood tracing arcs in the air.

Another horizontal sweep, and five Cultivators were sent flying; the sound of breaking bones crackled like popping beans.

With the time power of the xuantian treasure mirror imbued upon her, her speed was unimaginably fast.

The Cultivators in the crowd could only see a blurred figure weaving through them; wherever she passed, people fell like cut wheat.

One swing, two dead.

Another swing, three sent flying.

Another swing, and a Cultivator's protective spiritual light shattered like paper; he was smashed into the ground, creating a deep crater.

Screams rose and fell one after another.

"Run! Run quickly!"

"Oh my, damn it."

Someone turned and ran, but after only two steps, they were struck in the back by the hammer, their entire body looking like a flattened mosquito, lying motionless on the ground.

Someone activated a Teleportation Talisman, a flash of white light, and they vanished a thousand miles away.

Someone knelt on the ground, covering their head with their hands: "I surrender! I surrender!"

In less than a moment, of the fifty or sixty people, half were dead, and half had fled.

More than thirty corpses lay on the ground, strewn about in disarray, with severed limbs and remains; blood flowed along the cracks in the ground, mixing with the blood from the previous battle, making it impossible to tell whose was whose.

Qin Yu put away the hunyuan hammer and brushed the dust off her robes, without a single drop of sweat on her face.

She looked down at the corpses on the ground, hooked her finger, and the qiankun rings flew from all directions, landing in her palm.

She twirled her finger, and dozens of tokens floated out, which she tucked away.

Nangong Xue's eyes widened, her mouth open wide enough to fit a fist.

Tan Yun put away his Magic Treasure and let out a long breath. He turned to look at Yan Nuo and Han Feng; the three of them looked at each other, neither speaking.

Yan Nuo said in a low voice: "In the past half year... has she become even stronger?"

"Have you counted how many people she's killed in the last half year?" Nangong Xue asked, looking incredulous.

Tan Yun gave a bitter smile and did not answer.

In any case, every time they saw Qin Yu kill someone, it was as easy as cutting melons and vegetables. These Nascent Soul Cultivators rarely lasted more than three moves against her.
