118: This painting is only because there is

Lin Mu seemed to have entered a state of self-forgetfulness at this moment.

Suddenly, the movements of his hands stiffened and stopped.

A look of disgust appeared on his face.

An inexplicable anger rose within him.

He looked at the figure on the paper with icy eyes, lost in thought.

This figure was a gentle man wearing glasses.

His crisp suit made him appear very capable.

Lu Ziming, his capable assistant whom he once regarded as his own son.

Lin Mu had placed great hopes on him, entrusting all his companies to him to manage.

But he never expected that this man, who called him 'Godfather' at every turn, would cause his family's ruin and his own death.

Although so many years had passed, Lin Mu's state of mind was no longer what it used to be.

But when he saw this man again, Lin Mu still couldn't control the urge for revenge.

He reached out and picked up Lu Ziming's portrait, muttering to himself.

"Lu Ziming, just wait. One day I will break through the void and find you."

With that, a ball of golden flame appeared in his hand, burning the portrait to ashes.

Immediately, Lin Mu continued to write furiously on the paper.

This time, he no longer drew people.

Instead, he drew the mountains and rivers he had seen over the past decade.

Several hours later, Lin Mu stopped his movements again.

Through the immersive painting he had just completed, Lin Mu entered a state of emptiness.

Each painting, in his hands, seemed to come alive.

With each painting he created, Lin Mu felt as if he merged with the scenery within the painting.

Looking at the paintings scattered all over the floor, he couldn't help but smile faintly.

Then he bent down and carefully picked up the scattered paintings one by one.

Suddenly, Lin Mu's heart stirred, as if he had thought of something.

He carefully framed each painting and hung them on the walls of the shop.

Instantly, the entire dilapidated shop seemed to have been reborn.

As long as one was in this place, it was as if one had traveled all over the country.

In the following days, Lin Mu painted during the day and meditated at night.

By using Yang Lin's method, he already felt an increasing intimacy with this world.

If this continued, it wouldn't be long before he would truly refine this world.

By then, he would be the true master of this world.

One day, when Lin Mu finished another work, he suddenly realized that there was no more empty space on the wall.

The narrow shop was already filled with paintings.

Lin Mu frowned slightly.

These paintings were all created with his heart and soul.

It would be a pity to throw them away.

Upon hearing this, Lin Mu had an idea.

He put down his painting and then walked out of the shop.

Half an hour later, Lin Mu returned, carrying a plaque in his hands.

He found a ladder and hung the plaque up.

On the plaque were several gilded characters.

"Elegance and Common Appreciation"

Afterward, Lin Mu returned indoors, picked up a blank sheet of paper, and wrote with a brush.

"The elegant charm of Maple Grove spreads for a hundred generations."

"The mundane mountains and rivers enter a thousand homes."

After Lin Mu finished writing with his brush, regardless of whether the words rhymed, he picked up the couplet and walked out the door.

After Lin Mu had posted the couplets, it was already dusk.

He glanced at the darkening sky, preparing to close the shop door and rest.

Just then, a young man holding a fan stood at the entrance of the shop.

He said to himself in surprise, "When did a shop open here?"

When he saw the four large characters "Elegance and Common Appreciation" written on the plaque above the shop, he immediately became even more interested.

He asked impolitely, "Hey, I say. Is this shop yours?"

Lin Mu merely turned and glanced at him, without speaking.

Then he walked into the shop, minding his own business.

Seeing that Lin Mu ignored him, the young man felt as if his self-esteem had suffered a great humiliation.

He stormed into the shop, wanting to question Lin Mu.

The moment he stepped into the shop, he immediately stood frozen in place.

Waves of unusual aura assailed him.

He felt as if he was embraced by nature.

This was a feeling he had never experienced before.

He looked up suspiciously at the paintings on the wall.

With that glance, he was instantly deeply captivated by the scenes in the paintings, his eyes unable to move even an inch.

Each painting made him experience a different scene.

It was as if every painting was a vivid and real scene.

Wherever his gaze fell, he sometimes felt as if he was on a high mountain.

At other times, he felt as if he had merged into the wilderness.

When he had finished looking at all the paintings, he suddenly had the illusion of having traveled all over the country.

At this moment, he was nothing but shocked.

Since he came in, Lin Mu had been watching his shocked expression and couldn't help but chuckle.

He couldn't help but softly say, "Esteemed guest, are you interested in these paintings?"

The young man nodded blankly at the words.

Then he suddenly woke up and said, "These paintings, are you really selling them?"

The young man looked at Lin Mu with a nervous expression.

Lin Mu smiled faintly and said, "I open my doors for business; there's no reason not to sell."

The young man hesitated for a moment, then cautiously asked, "May I ask, what is the price of these paintings?"

Lin Mu said, "Mountains and rivers, sun, moon, and stars – those with affinity can obtain them."

"As for the price, you can give whatever you deem fit."

The more Lin Mu said this, the more uncertain the young man became about Lin Mu's intentions.

Even if he were dull, he could see the extraordinary nature of these paintings.

Each painting, if circulated, would be regarded as a masterpiece.

The young man lowered his head and pondered for a moment, then looked up and said, lacking confidence.

"Shopkeeper, I came out in a hurry today and don't have much silver with me."

"Could you allow me to bring enough silver tomorrow and then come to purchase them?"

Lin Mu heard this and said indifferently, "No matter, the shop opens at Chen Shi tomorrow, you can come anytime."

The young man's face lit up with joy, and he cupped his hands slightly towards Lin Mu, saying.

"Thank you, Shopkeeper. I shall take my leave now and visit again tomorrow."

After the young man finished speaking, he reluctantly glanced around Sichuan.

Then he hurried out.

After the young man left, Lin Mu closed the shop and resumed his meditation.

The next day, before Chen Shi, Lin Mu heard someone knocking on the shop door.

"Shopkeeper, I've come uninvited. Please open the door and meet me."

Lin Mu couldn't help but chuckle.

"This person is really impatient."

Lin Mu thought as he got up and walked towards the front hall.

Lin Mu opened the door, and the young man's knocking hand awkwardly stopped in front of him.

He smiled awkwardly and said, "Shopkeeper, please don't be offended. I'm not afraid of you laughing, but I couldn't sleep all night."

"I've been waiting here since early morning."

At this moment, a woman behind the young man mocked, "Look at you, so unworldly. You're embarrassing me."

She pushed the young man aside and then walked unceremoniously into the shop.

The woman walked in, scolding the young man the whole time.

The young man gave Lin Mu an apologetic look and whispered, "My wife is being rude; please forgive her, Shopkeeper."

Lin Mu nodded slightly, indicating he didn't mind.

He gestured for the young man to enter the shop with him.

Meanwhile, the woman who had walked in first was now standing in place, staring blankly.

Seeing this, the young man quickly went forward and called out, "Xiaorou, what's wrong?"

The woman named Xiaorou seemed not to have heard the young man's call.

Her eyes fixed on the paintings on the wall, she murmured, "This painting can only be found in heaven."

"It's simply a stroke of genius."
