178: Chapter 176 A Dilemma

Lin Mo hovered in the galaxy, staring at the mechanical god that had quieted down again.

He raised an eyebrow and chuckled.

"Yo, put away your turtle shell, have you?"

He raised his hand and snapped his fingers. Snap.

Behind him, nine Law Avatars, each hundreds of millions of meters tall, reformed simultaneously.

Over three thousand law flowers lit up in unison, illuminating the pitch-black Boundary Sea until it turned white.

"Boys, time to work."

As Lin Mo finished his sentence, the nine Law Avatars swarmed forward like street thugs in a brawl.

Left hook, right roundhouse kick, double palm strike to the ears.

Fists like mountains, wreathed in wind and thunder, rained down heavily upon the mechanical god.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Muffled impact sounds rippled outward, sparks exploded thousands of feet high, and the surrounding space was shattered with massive cracks.

After a round of frenzied bombardment, Lin Mo shook his wrists and looked up, his smile fading slightly.

On the dark gold armor plating covering the mechanical god, there were only a few faint white marks.

Let alone blasting it open, not even a single armor plate had been knocked off.

Lin Mo looked down at his own fist marks and clicked his tongue. It wouldn't budge at all! It was truly tough.

It seemed they had figured out his goal and started changing their tactics.

The source energy from the nine main reactors was no longer being poured into output, but was almost entirely funneled into the basic defensive layer.

What stood before him now was no longer a war machine in the conventional sense, but a walking, interstellar piece of toilet stone.

Inside the bridge of the star destroyer. The entire command hall was so stable that there wasn't a single tremor.

Commander Gu Yuan watched Lin Mo stop on the holographic screen, his tense face finally relaxing. The next second, he burst into wild laughter on the bridge.

"Keep attacking! Why don't you keep going?"

He pressed the full-frequency loudspeaker, and his voice boomed out of the machine like muffled thunder.

"I admit that you Extraterrestrial Demons are indeed disgusting."

"But with your strength at the peak of Transcendent Level 3, it's not even enough to scratch the itch of a Level 4 mechanical god!"

Beside him, Adjutant Gu Ming quickly climbed on the bandwagon, wiped away cold sweat, and chimed in with a sarcastic tone:

"So what if you're an Extraterrestrial Demon? If you can't break the defense, you're just a fly buzzing around outside."

Commander Gu Yuan crossed his arms, returning to his haughty commander posture.

"Lin Mo, have you had enough? If we keep wasting time like this, it won't benefit anyone."

"You can't kill me, and I can't hurt you right now. Why don't we both take a step back?"

"I'll have my fleet station here, and you can go back to the Primordial World and continue being your native overlord. Let's mind our own business, how about that?"

Commander Gu Yuan finished speaking with a cold sneer. To put it bluntly, he just wanted to stall Lin Mo and drag things out for three days.

Once the World-Eater Behemoth arrived, it would swallow both him and the world in one gulp; who would care about minding their own business then?

Lin Mo listened and picked his ear.

He stood before the nine Law Avatars, leisurely sizing up this 1.5 billion-meter-tall super iron shell, the corners of his mouth slowly curling up. That smile made Commander Gu Yuan's heart tighten inexplicably.

"With the force field down, you don't really think I have no way to deal with this big iron shell, do you?"

Commander Gu Yuan snorted coldly. "Playing tricks."

Lin Mo raised his hand, his tone light. "You might have gotten one thing wrong."

Hum— A circle of translucent law ripples spread out from Lin Mo without warning, instantly sweeping in all directions. [Time Cage] activated!

Without the obstruction of the Absolute Incineration Force Field, the absurdly thick dark gold armor alone couldn't stop the infiltration of the Law of Time. The translucent ripples treated the ten-thousand-meter armor as if it were nothing, passing straight through!

Inside the mechanical god. On the bridge, Adjutant Gu Ming had just picked up a cup of nutrient solution, ready to moisten his throat, when his vision suddenly blurred.

He froze and looked sharply at the radar ahead. "Commander! Unknown law detected penetrating the armor, it seems to be—"

Before he could finish, Swish! Adjutant Gu Ming vanished on the spot. The alloy cup in his hand hit the floor with a "clang" and rolled far away.

Commander Gu Yuan froze. The next second. Swish! Swish! Swish!

Inside the bridge, over a hundred high-ranking officers, fire control operators, and radar technicians were wiped away as if by an invisible hand, evaporating into thin air in droves.

It wasn't just the bridge. The energy room, maintenance tunnels, weapon control cabins, joint calibration zones... throughout the entire interior of the mechanical god, thousands of Tali Tribe elites vanished the moment the time ripples swept over them!

At the same time. Lin Mo's Inner World. The construction site in the East District was filled with dust.

Su Xiaoli was wearing a reflective supervisor vest that was clearly several sizes too big, hugging the overlord halberd, and sitting on a pile of green bricks, sulking. Her little face was puffed up, and her eyes were dangerous.

"Lin Mo, you guy... actually hiding behind my back and secretly keeping some Dance Troupe, massage team. Good for you, hogging it all to yourself, huh? When you get back, you're dead meat. I'll make sure you can't get out of bed for a month!"

Lin Mo hadn't expected this himself. He had stuffed Su Xiaoli into the Inner World to keep her settled, but instead, he had ended up exposing his own secrets.

The people from the Dragon Temple were hardly tight-lipped. Su Xiaoli didn't even need to interrogate them much; she just had to stand there and stab the overlord halberd into the ground. A few smiling questions later, those people would practically confess everything, from what time Lin Mo went to bed, to when he ate, to when he watched the Dance Troupe.

In the distance, the Great Elder of the Dragon Temple was waving a whip, cursing and urging hundreds of thousands of remnant soldiers to move stones. That construction efficiency, compared to the ten floating cities planned by Su Xiaoli, was no different from a snail's pace.

Just then. It suddenly started to rain "black rain" from the sky.

"Ouch! What the hell is this place?! Who's ambushing me!"

Hundreds of thousands of Tali Tribe elites fell from the sky like dumplings, crashing into the mud pits with a clatter, rolling around on the ground, and wailing in agony.

Adjutant Gu Ming climbed up, dizzy. As soon as he saw the group of Dragon Temple soldiers surrounding him, holding trowels, hammers, and shoulder poles, his expression changed instantly.

"How dare you! I am the Deputy Commander of the Tali Tribe's Third Fleet! You low-class—"

Slap! A big slap covered in cement landed squarely on his face. Adjutant Gu Ming flew sideways on the spot, spinning three times on the ground before stopping.

The Great Elder of the Dragon Temple retracted his hand, sneered, and stepped forward to deliver another kick. "Who cares what tribe you are once you're here? This is the Lin Construction Group!"

His eyes were practically glowing green. After doing manual labor for so long, who wouldn't be excited to see new laborers?

Su Xiaoli had been sulking, but upon hearing the commotion, her eyes lit up. She had been complaining about not having enough workers, and that the floating cities were being built too slowly.

The little girl carried the overlord halberd and strode over. Boom! King-level pressure instantly descended. The Tali Tribe elites who had just climbed up were smashed back onto the ground on the spot, unable to even lift a finger.

Su Xiaoli smiled sweetly, the edge of the halberd gently patting Adjutant Gu Ming's swollen face. "New here, are you? Perfect. Over there, go mix the cement. Whoever dares to slack off, I'll chop off their legs first."

Adjutant Gu Ming: "..." The Tali Tribe elites: "..."

Deep in the Boundary Sea. Inside the remaining bridge of the star destroyer, there was dead silence.

Commander Gu Yuan stood where he was, his palm pressed hard against the main console, not moving for a long time. The command hall, which had been crowded with people just moments ago, was now largely empty. A few floating light screens were still running on their own, and tools, cups, and data pads that hadn't been taken away were scattered on the floor.

In just a few short seconds. Inside the entire mechanical god, over a hundred thousand operators had been forcibly extracted! Even the mechanic responsible for calibrating the right leg joint was gone. This caused that massive mechanical right leg to wobble uncontrollably just a moment ago.

Commander Gu Yuan's face instantly turned pale. "Damn... The Law of Time?!" His scalp tingled.

The next second, the commander could no longer care about his composure; he practically lunged toward the main console, slapping his hand onto that scarlet physical button. "Activate the force field! Hurry! Max out the Absolute Incineration Force Field!!!"

Boom— The dark red force field that had originally retracted surged violently again. The Transcendent energy instantly transformed into a raging sea of fire, wrapping the entire mechanical god tightly.

Lin Mo had been preparing to time the cooldown to send another batch of new workers to the Inner World. Instead, he ran head-on into the terrifying high temperature that had been re-deployed. Sizzle! He was instantly vaporized on the spot. Even the time ripples that hadn't fully spread were shredded by the Absolute Incineration Force Field.

Tens of thousands of miles away, black energy swirled. Lin Mo reformed, shook his hand, and clicked his tongue. "That was a quick reaction."

Inside the bridge. Commander Gu Yuan plopped onto the floor, gasping for air, the veins on his forehead bulging. He stared fixedly at the main control screen, his expression as ugly as if he'd eaten feces.

Because he suddenly realized—he seemed to have fallen into a particularly disgusting trap.

If he didn't activate the force field, Lin Mo could extract the people inside the mechanical god batch by batch, effectively draining it into an empty shell.

If he did activate the force field, although that Absolute Incineration could block the Law of Time, the energy readings of the nine main reactors began to drop visibly. On the screen, the energy curve was sliding downward bit by bit. It wasn't fast. But it was glaring.

Commander Gu Yuan stared at that line, his Adam's apple bobbing with difficulty. At this moment, he finally realized completely—his fleet had been dragged into a dilemma with no way forward or back.
