58: Chapter 57 Teacher Liu? Little Liu!

Lin Yao led Lin Mo through a corridor covered in vines and stopped in front of a small, detached building at the end.

"We're here. Teacher Liu's office is on the third floor."

Lin Yao lowered her voice, her expression a bit serious.

"Once you go in, whatever you do, don't talk back to him. Teacher Liu has a very stubborn temper; the more high-profile a student is, the more he dislikes them."

"Oh."

Lin Mo gave a casual response and pushed the door to enter the building.

At the end of the third-floor corridor, a wooden door was half-open.

Just as Lin Mo raised his hand to knock, an aged voice came from inside.

"Come in."

The office wasn't large.

There was a mahogany desk, and the bookshelves on two walls were piled high with yellowed Formation Manuals.

A pot of half-dead orchid sat on the windowsill, looking like a brother in misery to the nearly withered pothos in the Alliance Leader's office.

Sitting behind the desk was an old man with white hair and a white beard.

His long beard hung down to his chest, and his face was gaunt. His eyes were half-squinted, as if he might doze off at any moment.

But the moment those eyes swept over Lin Mo, the sharpness within them could not be hidden.

Liu Shiyi.

Chief Instructor of the Combat Department at Tianfu University, a Fourth Class Advancement powerhouse.

He set down his teacup and sized Lin Mo up for a few seconds.

"You're Lin Mo?"

"Yes."

"Level 90?"

"Yes."

Liu Shiyi's brow furrowed.

He slowly stood up, clasped his hands behind his back, and walked around the desk.

"I've been observing you ever since you entered the university."

His tone was neither hurried nor slow.

"When fans blocked the entrance, you didn't take the main gate but took a side path—that's called being opportunistic."

"Encountering a student blocking your way on the road, you slapped them into a tree—that's called bullying the weak."

"At the registration window, you released your Level 90 rank indicator in front of hundreds of people—that's called grandstanding."

Lin Mo shrugged, looking completely indifferent.

Lin Yao stood at the door, her face turning pale.

She knew Teacher Liu too well.

This old man had spent his life believing that 'the tree that stands out in the forest will be destroyed by the wind,' and what he disliked most were young people who loved to show off.

Seeing Lin Mo's dismissive attitude, Liu Shiyi's expression darkened.

He walked up to Lin Mo and looked up at him—the old man was not tall, only reaching Lin Mo's chin.

"Young man, Level 90 is indeed not bad."

"But it's nothing to be proud of."

"I've seen too many talented people. The ones who truly make it to the end are never the most ostentatious ones."

He turned his head and called out toward the corridor.

"Zhou Yan, come in."

The sound of footsteps echoed.

A tall young man walked out from the adjacent room and stood beside Liu Shiyi.

He had a buzz cut, a steady expression, and restrained eyes.

The aura he radiated was heavy, like a piece of compressed iron.

Peak First Class Advancement, Level 90.

And he had a Monarch-level class—Rock Iron Warlord.

Liu Shiyi pointed at Zhou Yan and turned to look at Lin Mo.

"This is a student I've mentored for two years, also Level 90,"

"He daily is the last student to leave the training grounds."

"His grades rank in the top five of the year, yet he never shows off."

Zhou Yan nodded slightly as a greeting.

He didn't say a word from beginning to end.

Liu Shiyi stroked his long beard.

"That Blank Slate Warrior class of yours—to put it bluntly—no matter how strong the hidden talent is, it can't make up for the inherent flaws of the class."

"In terms of strength, Zhou Yan could easily take on three of you alone."

"If you don't believe me, you two can test it out."

Lin Yao grew anxious: "Teacher Liu, Lin Mo is still a freshman—"

"What's wrong with letting them try?"

Liu Shiyi waved his hand,

"If young people don't take a few tumbles, they'll never know the heights of the heavens and the depths of the earth."

He was determined to knock Lin Mo down a peg today.

Zhou Yan glanced at Liu Shiyi.

The old man nodded slightly.

Zhou Yan turned to Lin Mo and said calmly, "Junior, you make the first move."

The corners of Lin Mo's mouth curled slightly. He pulled out a Platinum Longsword and wiped it against his hand a few times.

Berserk Intent, activated.

A blood-colored aura surged from Lin Mo's body, and the temperature in the entire office dropped several degrees.

He hadn't tested his strength since it had increased so much.

Since someone was rushing to be a punching bag, that was just fine!

Zhou Yan's pupils shrank suddenly.

It was too late.

Lin Mo was already in front of him.

One punch.

No enchantment, no skills.

Just a pure punch!

Zhou Yan crossed his arms to Block, and a Rock Enchantment condensed into a half-inch thick shield on the surface of his arms.

The punch landed on the shield.

"Crack."

The massive force shattered the rock shield into dust like dry weeds before a fire!!

Zhou Yan was sent flying backward, his back smashing through the bookshelf, sending dozens of Formation Manuals crashing to the floor.

He lay flat on his back in the wreckage, his eyes rolling back.

He was out cold.

A cactus pot fell from the top of the bookshelf and landed precisely on his face.

Lin Mo shook his head with a look of disdain and said bluntly:

"And this is what you call being able to fight three of me?"

"Little Liu, don't treat every random stray like a treasure."

The office was silent for three seconds.

"Uh... random stray... Little... Little Liu?"

"What on earth is this guy saying?"

Lin Yao's eyes widened. With every word Lin Mo spoke, she was shocked anew.

Lin Mo had actually compared Teacher Liu's student to a random stray to his face; this was no different from insulting Teacher Liu directly.

Even more ridiculous was the address 'Little Liu.' Does a normal person call their teacher that?

Finally, she remembered that Lin Mo had insta-killed a peak First Class Advancement student with a single punch...

The massive amount of information almost caused her brain to overload, entering dazed mode once again.

Drool began to slowly seep from the corner of her mouth...

"You... you..."

Liu Shiyi's long beard was trembling slightly; he was completely shaken.

He stared at Zhou Yan embedded in the wreckage of the bookshelf, then at Lin Mo, who was standing there shaking out his hand.

His mouth opened several times.

In the end, he didn't even ask "How did you do that?"

After hearing that 'Little Liu,' he was thoroughly driven to laughter by anger.

He turned around, walked to the door, and shouted deep into the corridor.

"He Cheng!"

His voice was three times louder than before.

Ten-odd seconds later, a young man in a black training uniform walked over quickly.

He was half a head taller than Zhou Yan, with broad shoulders and a sharp gaze.

His aura was completely different.

Second Class Advancement.

Level 95.

Class: Steelspine Earthsplitter.

He Cheng glanced at Zhou Yan lying on the ground, his brow twitching.

"Teacher, what happened?"

Liu Shiyi was so angry his beard was bristling. He pointed a trembling finger at Lin Mo.

"Go and teach him a lesson for me."

He Cheng looked at Lin Mo.

Lin Mo looked at him and smiled.

"Come on."

He Cheng wasn't as polite as Zhou Yan.

The aura of a Second Class Advancement professional fully erupted, causing the floorboards beneath his feet to crack in a circle.

He took a step forward, his entire body turning into a gray blur—

"Steelspine: Mountain Breaker!"

His fist, wrapped in a dark gray enchantment three times thicker than Zhou Yan's, roared toward Lin Mo's face with a sharp whistling sound.

Lin Mo met his punch with one of his own.

"Bang!"

The air exploded.

He Cheng's arm shook violently, the webbing between his thumb and forefinger split open, and blood dripped down his fingers.

He was knocked back several steps, nearly falling to the ground.

Gritting his teeth to steady himself, his left fist followed immediately.

"Little Liu, this student you called over isn't that great either."

Lin Mo commented casually with a smile.

The second punch.

This time, Lin Mo didn't Block it.

He sidestepped the fist and pressed his right hand onto He Cheng's shoulder.

A gentle push.

"Argh!!"

Only a miserable scream was heard!

He Cheng's body was like it had been hit by a high-speed train, flying straight out the window.

Amidst the sound of shattering glass, his figure streaked across the sky above half the training grounds, finally smashing into a water dispenser at the end of the corridor in the opposite teaching building.

Water splashed everywhere.

Several screams and a series of clattering glass breaks echoed from the corridor.

In the third-floor office, only the whistling draft remained.

Liu Shiyi stood before the broken window, his long beard blown into a mess by the wind.

He opened his mouth but was completely unable to speak.

His eyes were wide and round; he was utterly dumbfounded.

"What the!?" Lin Yao was also stunned, looking at Lin Mo as if he were a monster.
