Chapter 176 What if Death is blind?

Smith was somewhat surprised.

He hadn't expected the Secretary of State to actually have a plan!

"So..."

"Can you convince those countries in the desert to help us?"

Smith's eyes widened slightly, his voice tinged with disbelief.

He stared intently at the Secretary of State.

The latter's lips curled up slightly, revealing a cold smile that seemed to hide endless calculations.

"There is no need to convince them."

"We have our own plan; to cut off the Dragon Country's energy exports, we don't necessarily need to convince those countries."

"We only need to..."

As he spoke, a cold sneer appeared on the Secretary of State's face, a sneer like a winter wind that made one shudder.

He slowly uttered that shocking plan!

"It is enough to just destroy the natural gas pipelines and oil wells of the Oil Country!"

"What?"

"You actually intend to destroy their natural gas pipelines and oil wells???"

Smith was stunned by this plan!

His mind went blank, as if time had frozen at that very moment.

This was simply a lunatic's tactic!

He exclaimed inwardly.

He knew deep down that anyone sent to execute this mission would almost certainly die.

And since the other party had come to discuss this plan with him, did they want the CIA to provide the personnel?

A strong sense of unease welled up in Smith's heart, and he began to suspect that the Secretary of State had lost his mind.

Furthermore, in his view, this move by the Secretary of State was tantamount to killing one thousand enemies while suffering eight hundred losses oneself!

"Secretary of State Jack, don't forget!"

"We are also a major energy-importing nation!"

"If we destroy their natural gas pipelines and oil wells, we will also fall into an energy crisis."

"This move will inevitably affect our domestic energy supply as well!"

"Do you want those taxpayers to stab you in the back?"

Smith said urgently, trying to make the Secretary of State understand the danger of this plan.

His voice trembled slightly, his heart filled with tension and worry!

The Secretary of State, however, appeared confident, his eyes revealing a sense of assurance, as if everything were under his control.

"These are not problems!"

"In fact, we have already stockpiled a large amount of oil in advance!"

"We just need to wait, wait a few months, and we can exhaust the Dragon Country to death!"

"How about it? Our plan is quite good, isn't it!"

The Secretary of State's words were full of complacency; he seemed to have already envisioned the scene of the Dragon Country falling into distress under this plan.

"Madman! Simply a madman!"

After hearing the Secretary of State's words, Smith was even more shocked.

He hadn't expected the Secretary of State to be this crazy, willing to sacrifice his own country's interests to achieve his goal.

But there was no choice; in front of the Secretary of State, he had no qualification to refute!

He could only bite the bullet and nod!

Yet his heart was filled with helplessness and worry.

The Secretary of State looked at Smith's reaction and smiled with satisfaction.

"Since that's the case, then I'll leave the hard work to you."

His tone was relaxed, as if this were just a trivial task.

Smith's heart tightened, and he hurriedly asked:

"What do you need us to do?"

His voice carried a hint of nervousness; he didn't know what kind of challenge he was about to face.

"Gather intelligence..."

"At the same time... send people to execute this plan."

The Secretary of State's words were concise and clear, causing Smith's heart to sink to the bottom.

Smith was stunned; he never expected that the Secretary of State would require their CIA to both gather intelligence and execute this crazy plan.

While gathering intelligence was part of their job, having them execute this damn plan made Smith feel extremely resistant!

Although CIA agents were very professional, this was a mission with almost zero chance of survival!

Were their agents meant to become expendable consumables?

Smith's heart was filled with anger and helplessness; he felt that the Secretary of State's decision was too rash.

The Secretary of State noticed that Smith seemed somewhat unwilling, so he sneered and took a document out of the briefcase he was carrying.

That document was none other than the President's official appointment for the plan!

Its content was very simple: it required the CIA to be responsible for the implementation of the plan!

Seeing this document, Smith immediately had no other options.

He knew that in the face of the President's order, he had no room to resist.

Smith could only helplessly agree, his heart filled with bitterness.

He knew that if this plan failed, it could very likely bring unimaginable consequences for them!

But what other choice did he have?

He could only obey the order and do his best to complete this arduous mission.

The Secretary of State looked excited, as if he had already seen the scene of the Dragon Country falling into distress under this plan and being at their mercy.

He even began to fantasize about being able to make excessive demands on the Dragon Country, and that the Dragon Country would obey them implicitly.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but feel smug:

"Dragon Country, you millennium-old nation, don't even think about having a day to turn things around!"

"Falcons have always fed on rabbits; you will eventually be suppressed by us!"

After the Secretary of State left, Smith gathered more than a dozen of his subordinates, the agents!

The captain of these agents was named Schroeder, an iron-blooded veteran who had participated in the desert war!

He possessed keen insight and counter-reconnaissance capabilities!

When he took action, there was no mission he couldn't complete!

And the rest of the agents were all the elite of the elite, trained by him personally!

They were the core strength of the CIA!

They were now gathered in Smith's office, all very expectant about the upcoming mission!

"BOSS! We just saw Secretary of State Jack on the way here, and he seemed exceptionally happy!"

"Does it have anything to do with our next mission?" one agent suddenly asked.

And as soon as his words were out, he suffered a stern rebuke from Schroeder!

"Rick, how did I teach you? As an excellent agent, don't ask what you shouldn't!"

"Slap yourself ten times!"

"Yes, teacher!" In the quiet office, the slapping sounds of Rick hitting his own face rang out!

The other agents were unsurprised, but Smith felt deeply moved!

These were all the precious treasures nurtured by Schroeder!

The upcoming mission made him feel somewhat unable to speak about it!

Schroeder noticed Smith's abnormality and spoke calmly:

"BOSS! This mission seems a bit difficult!"

"No matter, please just speak! Leave the rest to us!"

Smith smiled bitterly and helplessly: "Schroeder, as expected of you! You easily discerned my thoughts!"

"The mission I am about to assign to you is not just a bit difficult, but one with almost zero chance of survival..."

Schroeder revealed a cold sneer at the corner of his mouth:

"No matter, my subordinates and I like to play hide-and-seek with the Grim Reaper!"

Smith chuckled, no longer hesitating, and immediately handed the mission document to him!

Schroeder took the document in his hand, watched it carefully for a moment, and the smile on his lips froze!

After a long while, he murmured:

"It seems that this time, we have nowhere to hide!"

However, even so, he still looked at Smith with a smile, remaining confident:

"It's okay, what if the Grim Reaper is blind!"
