109: scion eggs

Long Yuan naturally didn't want to be discovered while eliminating this junkyard; otherwise, he would surely be seen as a madman or someone hiding secrets, which would inevitably attract a large number of people to investigate. The consequences of that are not hard to imagine.

So, his plan was to first move the garbage mountains surrounding the core area of West Lake, then gradually expand outwards in a circular fashion. After reaching a certain extent, he would stop. This approach would greatly reduce the chance of being discovered, as those who handle garbage currently do not enter the core area, only dumping at the periphery of the junkyard. Furthermore, as long as he blocked the paths leading into the core area, no one would climb over these garbage mountains to investigate…

Of course, he had another plan: to set up an Illusion Formation around West Lake, preventing anyone who passed by or came to investigate from discovering anything unusual, and simultaneously making it impossible for them to enter the Formation!

Such a Formation does not currently exist in Great Ming, because Formations powered by Xuan Power are difficult to achieve such a degree. In other words, in the current Great Ming, or rather, on Blue Star, the Dao of Formations is not strong. Existing Formations are mainly reflected in killing Formations or military Formations composed of Xuan Practitioners or warriors. Compared to the ever-changing magical Immortal Formations of the Immortal Realm, Xuan Formations are practically useless, basically just in the initial stage of the Dao of Formations.

However, just because Great Ming doesn't have such Formations doesn't mean Long Yuan doesn't. His Treasure Pavilion contains such ancient texts. After recent reading and research, he has now made his Entry-Level into the Dao of Formations. Crafting a First-Tier Illusion Formation would not be difficult. In fact, if he only wanted to achieve the purpose of concealment, an Entry-Level Illusion Formation would suffice. The main difficulty in this lies in the lack of Spirit Stones, which are the Spiritual Qi-containing stones used for Cultivation in the Immortal Realm.

According to the Heavenly Dao Eye, after hundreds of years of Spiritual Qi tides on Blue Star, many places must have already nurtured Spiritual Veins, and where there are Spiritual Veins, there must be Spirit Stones. It's just that people might not have paid much attention to them yet. By paying attention to collecting information in this regard, Long Yuan might be able to obtain Spirit Stones in advance, which he could then use to maintain the operation of the Formation.

Additionally, even if he doesn't find them externally, they can also be produced within the Heavenly Dao Space after some time, because a Divine-tier Spiritual Vein is currently being nurtured at the center of the space. This Divine-tier Spiritual Vein is a top-tier existence even in the Immortal Realm, but it is currently only in its embryonic form and needs to absorb energy converted from waste materials to grow. So Long Yuan indeed has a long and arduous journey ahead, as there are too many places that need to consume energy!

But one must eat one bite at a time, and walk one step at a time. Long Yuan was not in a hurry. While moving the garbage mountains, he consciously sealed off all the incoming paths, so that the core area of West Lake would entirely belong to him!

As for how he would get out after sealing it off?

Don't worry, it would be a very easy task for him to climb over the garbage mountains and leave with the Shadow Step he Cultivates…

As he continuously moved the garbage mountains, he felt that there seemed to be some changes within the Heavenly Dao Space!

He sent a wisp of Divine Sense inside to check and found that the concentration of Spiritual Qi within the space had indeed increased. Active Spiritual Qi molecules permeated the air, making breathing feel exceptionally fresh!

Even the vegetation on the ground was quietly spreading its branches and leaves, as if bathed in new rain, radiating new vitality and life, making one feel invigorated and wanting to shout loudly at the mountains!!!

“Wow!!! It seems the material energy conversion efficiency of this Devouring Dao is very high. I've only collected about one-third of the junkyard, and a large amount of Spiritual Qi has already been generated. If all the garbage mountains here are devoured, will there be a Spiritual Qi tide within the space?” Long Yuan thought excitedly.

His Divine Sense withdrew from the Heavenly Dao Space, and he turned to look towards the center of the lake, then suddenly let out a soft exclamation, “This lake seems to have become much more beautiful!”

After clearing a large area of garbage mountains, the West Lake now looked somewhat different. At this moment, the bright moon hung high in the sky, and large swaths of brilliant moonlight spilled over the lake. A gentle breeze came, making the water shimmer with sparkling light, adorning the lake surface like a reflection of the starry sky, inspiring countless thoughts…

“This is probably the best reward for environmental work, isn't it? Humans and nature still need to coexist harmoniously. Humans should become the spirits of nature, not its butchers…”

As Long Yuan thought, his Divine Sense scanned various parts of the lake surface, because he also noticed that with the clearing of the garbage mountains, the lake level seemed to have risen. Some areas previously occupied by garbage mountains were now submerged by the lake water. This reason had to be found out, otherwise his subsequent plans might have to be changed accordingly.

With his current Divine Sense power, scanning this lake surface was not a problem. After careful inspection, he discovered the reason: the outer waterways that were originally blocked by some garbage mountains had been indirectly unblocked after the garbage mountains were removed!

The water in these waterways originally flowed elsewhere, presumably to some underground rivers, eventually merging into the distant sea. But now, it was flowing into West Lake along the terrain. This situation should continue for a period of time until the water level reaches a certain extent before it stops…

“These precious water sources were all flowing away in vain before, but now they can be stored here. Who knows when they might play a significant role. Additionally, with the continuous influx of water, the lake surface can expand by more than tenfold. Such a large lake can also change the local climate. In the future, Fengyang will probably become warmer and more humid, with fresh air…” Long Yuan was in a great mood, feeling that after being in the Otherworld Great Ming for so long, he had finally done something good for it. Although acquiring resources and protecting himself was important, giving back and benefiting the world was also very enjoyable. If he became someone who only harvested, exploited, and focused on personal enjoyment, what would be the difference between him and those parasitic maggots?

People, it's best to be down-to-earth and do things, both getting the deserved rewards from this world and, when possible, giving back some benefits to the world. That's enough!

Otherwise, if you blindly harvest, make money, and are insatiably greedy, in case of any unforeseen circumstances in the future, your dark history will be dug up. People will then find that you've never done a single good deed, never given back any welfare, and there will be no useful material to whitewash you. Your public image will completely collapse, and you will suffer irreversible losses! You might even be close to bankruptcy!!!

“Continue! Time is still very pressing…” Long Yuan rested briefly and then became busy again…

Suddenly, a phantom light screen appeared before his eyes:

【Name: Qilin Egg】

【Bloodline: Qilin Race Ancestral Bloodline (Embryonic Form 8500 / 10000)】

【Activity: 99 / 100, can be born after being nurtured with Immortal Spiritual Qi for a period of time;】

【Special Experience: A Bloodline born after the Qilin Saintess conceived for 100,000 years. Its Ancestral Bloodline Aptitude triggered a celestial phenomenon, attracting the covetous gaze of Outer Realm Heavenly Demons. The Ten Great Heavenly Demons raided Lin Territory to snatch this egg. During a great battle, a spacetime anomaly occurred in Lin Territory, and this egg fell into a spacetime rift and disappeared… Currently, both the Qilin Race and the Demon Race have people secretly searching for this egg’s whereabouts…】
