143: Who is it?

At this moment, Tong Xueqin was as excited as if she were flying; she felt that Mr. Long was radiating light, like a beacon in the dark, illuminating her life as a moth. Even if she had to sacrifice her life, she would rush towards that destined haven. She had completely made up her mind to win over Mr. Long!

She secretly clenched her fists to encourage herself, then said, "Mr. Long, you probably don't know how powerful the top ten of the great ming golden melody chart are, do you?"

"Oh? How powerful?" A sense of unease suddenly arose in Mr. Long's heart.

"Hehe, you should know that this is the overall chart of the Great Ming Golden Melody. It compiles the music charts from various base cities, selects outstanding individuals, and then lets them compete for rankings on the overall chart. Countless entertainment companies have gone mad over this, so it requires huge investment to even squeeze into the overall chart. As for entering the top ten, that is just a dream for many Genius of the Dao of music; it's simply impossible to achieve! It can be said that without a strong background and power, relying solely on the singer, no matter how well they sing, it's very difficult to get this opportunity!" Tong Xueqin laughed.

Mr. Long listened in disbelief and said, "What you're saying is too mysterious, isn't it? I just created and sang this song at the Qin Family's dance hall not long ago, and then someone secretly uploaded the video online. Didn't it just make it into the overall chart and the top ten? Actually, I haven't even officially recorded the song yet. What you saw was just a live performance video, so I think this great ming golden melody chart is just some practitioners of the Dao of music playing around..."

"What? Are you serious?!" Tong Xueqin was also a bit stunned, feeling it was incredible. If it was truly as Mr. Long said, then had she made a mistake somewhere?

"Truer than pearls! That day, well, about a week ago, Qin Fu Yi, the Qin Family patriarch, invited us to his dance hall to sing. I performed this song live then, and later I heard that Luo Ying of the Luo Family and Ye Xuan of the Ye Family uploaded it online. As a result, it was like this not long after! If, as you say, a song must first go through ranking competitions in various base cities to enter the overall chart, then my entry speed is a bit too fast, isn't it?!" Mr. Long said suspiciously.

"Impossible! I have a close friend who works in an entertainment company, and she told me all the information about this. To promote a song, it generally has to go through monthly ranking competitions in various base cities before it can be submitted to the overall chart. Think about it, the monthly competitions for third-tier, second-tier, and first-tier base cities take three months. It must go through at least three months of monthly competitions, and then those who stand out can reach the overall chart to compete again. So, even if your song is excellent, it's impossible to promote it on the overall chart this quickly!" Tong Xueqin said with certainty.

Mr. Long shrugged and said, "If you don't believe me, you can ask Luo Ying and the others. Besides, I wasn't even planning to promote it. Didn't you just say that you need a strong company background and financial power to promote a song?"

"Yes, yes, that's definitely how it is! Every song on the great ming golden melody chart has a promoter behind it, involving huge economic interests. And it seems to be an official regulation that it's very difficult for individuals to promote songs under their own name. Only entertainment companies registered with the authorities can recommend songs for promotion!"

"Then what's the deal with my song?" Mr. Long was speechless, but he suddenly thought of another possibility, which he couldn't say out loud here.

"This... No, I need to call my close friend and ask her what exactly is going on! Oh, by the way, this is my business card. You can contact me anytime!" Tong Xueqin handed Mr. Long a business card.

Mr. Long took the pink business card and finally remembered what he was there for, saying, "Remember to find someone to help me fix my house!"

"Fix your house? No problem, General Manager Bai and the others have already given instructions. You can move into your new home in a week!" Tong Xueqin laughed.

"Ah ha, then please thank General Manager Bai and the others for me!"

"Alright! Actually, General Manager Bai and the others also want to thank you. If it weren't for you this time, who knows what kind of trouble our Yuhua Terrace would have caused!"

"It was just a coincidence! Goodbye!" Mr. Long waved his hand and quickly slipped away from Tong Xueqin's seemingly devouring eyes.

He didn't dare to stay with Tong Xueqin for too long; he felt she was like those female star chasers on Earth, who normally save money but can spend all they have for their idols, even huddling in a ball in the cold a day in advance, outwitting airport security, not eating or only snacking, just to catch a fleeting glimpse of their idol stepping out of the airport!

If they could receive a blown kiss or a wave and a smile, they would let out bursts of hysterical screams and cries, and then feel blissfully happy for a whole month!!!

"Oh my, Young Miss Tong couldn't be like them, could she? No, I must keep my distance from Young Miss Tong..." Mr. Long thought to himself.

After hearing Tong Xueqin's words just now, he actually felt that what she said should be correct, as it came from within an entertainment company, and her close friend had no reason to lie to her, especially since it wasn't a major secret.

So where was the problem? How did this song suddenly appear on the great ming golden melody chart and even break into the top ten, even though he hadn't paid any attention to it? Moreover, it was just a live video, not even officially recorded... Mr. Long thought of a possibility: someone, or rather, an entertainment company, had taken his live video and directly promoted it on the Great Ming Golden Melody overall chart!

This sounded a bit bizarre because it completely disregarded the promotion rules, directly shortening the process by three months and bypassing the competition and elimination process of the third-tier base cities. Even more strangely, it actually managed to break into the top ten!

As Tong Xueqin just said, every promoted song has an entertainment company operating behind it, requiring large investments to achieve good results. Without significant investment in promotion and push, relying solely on the song's attractiveness, even if it's truly strong, it's impossible to reach such a high position so quickly, unless the other songs on the great ming golden melody chart are simply too terrible.

Mr. Long didn't think his song "you at the same table" was truly that good; after all, he had only performed it casually at the time, and there was still a significant gap compared to a professionally recorded level. Additionally, the song was generally a bit too simple, and in terms of musical depth and technique, it was still quite far from what he considered a true Golden Melody... So, who was secretly manipulating all of this?
