Chapter 21 Knights of the Round Table - Glahad

The portraits and sculptures of the five members of the Heros Party had long since spread throughout the entire Fatlan Continent.

Therefore, the moment Galahad saw Xia Xier, he recognized her identity.

But the young man beside her... who looked ridiculously handsome...

Why had he never seen him before?

And why was there no information about him whatsoever?

Out of adherence to the knightly code, Galahad didn't do anything unnecessary; he simply greeted Xia Xier quite respectfully.

It wasn't just Galahad who noticed Xu Ruo's presence, but also Dean Dewin, who had been confronting him earlier!

However...

Compared to the people from the Holy Kingdom he had encountered earlier, the look Dewin gave Xu Ruo suddenly held a hint of unfathomable depth.

Xia Xier stepped forward, tightly grasped Xu Ruo's hand, brought him to Dewin's side, and spoke softly:

"Dean, I will leave him in your care for now."

"I will handle the matters regarding the Fran Empire!"

After saying this, she didn't wait for Dewin's approval and went straight to Galahad—

"You all must be knights from the Fran Empire. Are you here to demand an explanation from me?"

Galahad bowed slightly and said very politely:

"I am Galahad, the twelfth seat of the Round Table Knights."

"Reporting to you, Saintess, that man is a noble of my Fran Empire."

"Although he is usually overbearing, he is, after all, a member of our empire's nobility."

"Even if he were just dead, that would actually be fine."

"But the fatal issue is that you, Saintess, stripped him of his magic power and banished all the blessings he possessed..."

"To the point where he has now fallen to no different than a commoner."

"This behavior is the most shameful insult to the nobility, especially to his family."

"Although Emperor Fran tried to persuade them with kind words, he was unable to calm the rage of that noble family."

After explaining the situation clearly, Galahad then stated the purpose of his visit—

"Therefore, Emperor Fran wants me to 'invite' you, Saintess, to visit our Fran Empire."

"In order to settle the dispute between the nobles and the imperial royal family."

After speaking, he bowed to Xia Xier again with a hint of apology.

His posture was neither humble nor arrogant, and very proper.

Xia Xier listened quietly to Galahad's account without the slightest retreat, and countered:

"What if I refuse?"

Galahad was silent for a moment, then looked up slightly.

In his eyes, as he gazed at Xia Xier, there was a complex look:

"Forgive my bluntness."

"Please carefully consider Emperor Fran's kind invitation, Saintess!"

As if considering Xia Xier and the entire Holy Kingdom, Galahad thought for a moment and added:

"It just so happened that I was near the Holy Kingdom this time, so His Majesty sent me."

"If you do not come with me, Saintess."

"Perhaps the next person to come will not be as polite as I am."

As Galahad, who followed the knightly path most strictly among the twelve Round Table Knights...

He naturally hoped that Xia Xier would go back with him.

As long as she followed him back to the Fran Empire like this...

Whether for Xia Xier or for everyone in the Holy Kingdom...

It would be a good thing!

If Xia Xier insisted on refusing...

In the end...

It was highly likely that the internal dispute between the nobles and the royal family of the Fran Empire would evolve into a war between the Fran Empire and the Holy Kingdom!

The suffering of the people that would ensue was not a scene Galahad wished to see.

Therefore, while his tone seemed indirect, the meaning within was already very clear.

Upon hearing this, there was not a trace of fear on Xia Xier's face.

"In this world, to me..."

"Whether commoner or noble, knight or royal..."

"They are all equally precious lives."

"In my eyes, there are only two types of people in this world."

"Those who are qualified to live in this world!"

"This is my life principle, and it is the power of decision entrusted to me by the Goddess!"

"If those nobles of the Fran Empire have any complaints, let them come find me."

"Of course, after I judge whether they have the value to continue living, whether they can return to the Fran Empire unscathed..."

"That is no longer my business, but the Goddess's choice!"

"Therefore, I will not go with you to the Fran Empire."

"As for who will come to invite me next time, or if the Fran Empire even wants to start a war with my Holy Kingdom over this..."

"I will see it through to the end!"

"Of course, final victory will only belong to those who are in the right!"

The young girl's voice was crisp and firm, without the slightest hesitation.

These words left Galahad stunned on the spot.

Xia Xier's attitude was even more overbearing than Galahad's.

Galahad and the several knights behind him changed expressions slightly, speechless for a moment.

However, there was one thing Galahad was now clear about.

That was...

Xia Xier absolutely would not go with him!

Knowing this, Galahad nodded—

"I understand your meaning, Saintess."

"After I return to the Fran Empire, I will report this to His Majesty, and I will not exaggerate anything!"

After speaking, he saluted Xia Xier again.

His gaze was sincere, just as before.

"Thank you for your golden words, Saintess."

"This trip, I have been rude!"

He did not linger.

Galahad turned around, and with the three knights behind him, got on his horse and left directly.

Amidst the long sound of hooves, they soon disappeared on the stairs leading to the Holy Mountain!

Until they left, Dewin walked to Xia Xier's side, and said with a gratified look:

"Saintess, you are truly worthy of being the person chosen by the Goddess!"

Xia Xier turned her head and looked at Dewin.

"Dean, I will have to trouble you again during this time!"

"No!" Dewin shook her head, looked at Xia Xier, and smiled, "With you here, the storm between the Holy Kingdom and the Fran Empire might be avoided!"

"If you had gone with them, the Holy Kingdom would have ended up at war with the Fran Empire instead!"

"But now, I believe Emperor Fran... will carefully consider this matter!"

Xia Xier nodded and didn't say anything more.

However, just as she was about to take Xu Ruo and walk into the Monastery openly and grandly like this...

Dewin, however, rarely reached out her slender arm and lightly placed it on Xia Xier's shoulder—

"By the way, regarding this 'childhood sweetheart' of yours, I still have a few things to ask you, Saintess. I wonder if you have the time?"

Xia Xier paused, looked at Dewin's calm but meaningful eyes, and after hesitating slightly for a moment, still nodded slightly.

She turned around, held Xu Ruo's hand, and said softly:

"You go back to my room first. Trust me, nothing will happen."

Xu Ruo, with a calm face, looked up and met Xia Xier's gaze.

In both of their eyes, there was determination and trust.

Xu Ruo nodded, didn't say anything more, and his voice became a bit softer:

"Mm, I'll wait for you."

As he spoke, he turned around, walked along the stairs, and stepped into the Monastery one step at a time.

Watching Xu Ruo's figure disappear completely.

Xia Xier then turned around, her expression returning to calm, and met Dewin's gaze.

"Dean, what is it that you wish to discuss?"

Until Xu Ruo's back disappeared completely, the smile on Dewin's face gradually faded.

Until it finally turned into a deep worry—

"Follow me first; this is not the place to discuss matters."

The two walked one after the other into the Monastery.

Passing through the courtyard filled with flowers and sculptures, they arrived all the way at the quiet room in the deepest part of the Monastery.
