Chapter 58 The Fallen Angel - Gabriel

On the other side, Xu Ruo was in no hurry to return to the Holy Mountain Monastery after leaving.

Instead, he returned to the depths of the secluded forest he had visited last time, preparing to perform another resurrection ritual ahead of schedule.

The subject he intended to resurrect was one of the Four Great Demon Generals...

The Fallen Angel—Gabriel!

The best way to smoke out the mastermind behind this incident was to awaken Gabriel early!

As one of the original Four Great Demon Generals, Gabriel's familiarity with the Celestial Realm was undoubtedly far superior to Xu Ruo's.

Soon, under Xu Ruo's arrangements, the new ritual began!

As Xu Ruo dripped the final drop of sacrificial blood into the center of the formation, a dazzling white light began to shine!

Slowly, the white light began to coalesce into a form...

However, at the very moment that white light was about to solidify into Gabriel's figure...

A sudden change occurred!

A trace of magic on Xu Ruo's body uncontrollably merged into the resurrection formation, instantly swallowing that pure, brilliant white light!

In its place was a pitch-black glow, so dark one couldn't see their own hand!

Where the black glow passed, Gabriel's exquisite and curvaceous figure gradually emerged!

Aside from the black glow swirling around her, her aura was no different from before.

She still had the same long purple hair that almost reached the back of her knees, and that charmingly wicked, peerless face.

But her pair of silver wings, which should have symbolized holiness, were now as black as ink, appearing sinister and dangerous!

The unexpected turn of events caused Xu Ruo's gaze to darken slightly.

What was going on?

How did Gabriel's angel wings turn black?

Had she been stained with his color?

While he was wondering, Gabriel slowly opened her eyes!

In those crimson eyes, a wild and domineering spirit still flickered.

"Lord Demon King..."

She saw the man before her at once, and the unruliness in her eyes vanished instantly.

Her voice seemed to retain its original magnetic laziness, but with an added touch of excitement.

"Long time no see."

Xu Ruo also looked over, his brow slightly furrowed.

"Gabriel, you..."

Before he could finish, the stark-naked Gabriel had already stepped forward, opening her arms to embrace him.

Feeling the familiar scent in her arms, Gabriel slowly closed her eyes.

Her voice was somewhat intoxicated, somewhat sentimental—

"I really didn't expect to be able to see you again."

Xu Ruo's eyes flickered, but he didn't push her away, letting Gabriel hold him just like that.

A long time passed.

Only then did Gabriel reluctantly let go of the embrace.

She stood before him once more.

The swirling black light also faded with her movements.

Gabriel was slightly shorter than Xu Ruo, and she gazed up at him intently, her eyes like rippling autumn water as she changed the subject:

"What's this?"

"Does the Lord Demon King intend to change plans and no longer use his own death to fulfill those heroes?"

Without giving Xu Ruo a chance to answer, Gabriel tightly hugged the Xu Ruo before her with her slightly trembling arms.

Her voice, now slightly sobbing, had shifted from resentment to the joy of something lost and found again:

"I knew you wouldn't just leave me behind like that..."

"I'm different from them; my world only has you..."

"If you really had..."

"Then I would never live on alone. Even if resurrected, I would go searching for you..."

"So..."

Gabriel looked up, her eyes glistening with tears, looking at Xu Ruo with utmost seriousness, her voice slightly choked:

"So, don't abandon me..."

Xu Ruo gazed steadily at the woman before him.

Gabriel was beautiful, as beautiful as ever.

Feeling the warmth emanating from her, something in his heart quietly softened.

He reached out and slowly stroked Gabriel's cheek.

His gaze was gentle and full of pity.

"I won't leave you behind."

"Never."

Perhaps because of his past experiences, Xu Ruo was much more sentimental and loyal than he appeared.

He would never fail anyone who was truly good to him, except for Lilia!

A heartfelt smile finally bloomed on Gabriel's face.

She tightened her arms again, leaning her head gently against Xu Ruo's chest.

She didn't speak again, just savoring this long-lost warmth.

Only when the excitement in her heart had calmed did Gabriel release her embrace.

Standing before him again, she had recovered her usual spirit.

Her lips curved slightly as she took the initiative to change the subject:

"Alright, the touching reunion is over. What are we going to do next?"

Xu Ruo nodded, then stated the most important thing for Gabriel at the moment—

"Your clothes..."

Only then did Gabriel belatedly look down.

Her gaze swept over her unclad body, yet no hint of shyness could be seen.

Instead, the corners of her lips slowly curled up.

Her gaze returned to Xu Ruo.

"Otherwise..."

Tilting her head slightly, Gabriel's eyes rippled with a full display of charm:

"Master, you wouldn't mind helping me dress, would you?"

Xu Ruo gave her a flat look.

Seeing that Gabriel didn't seem to be joking.

He didn't say anything more.

He simply used his Dark Magic to help Gabriel change into a black evening gown that fully showcased her elegant temperament.

Unlike Xu Ruo's current simple style, Gabriel's clothes were decorated with intricate and gorgeous black lace.

With her purple hair flowing and those wicked, soul-stirring eyes, she made one's heart race.

She was so perfect it was as if she had stepped out of a painting.

Even Xu Ruo felt a moment of admiration in his heart.

Gabriel beamed, very satisfied with her image.

Facing Xu Ruo again, it was as if her previous excitement and shyness had never existed.

Her voice also returned to its previous lazy and confident tone:

"Lord Demon King, what is the reason you sought me out this time?"

Xu Ruo wasted no more time and told Gabriel the information he had obtained from Tasia in its entirety.

After hearing Xu Ruo's words, Gabriel's brow furrowed slightly.

A moment later, a flash of realization crossed her expression—

"I see..."

"Besides dead angels, only the names of banished angels are erased from the angel registry..."

"Looking at it this way... that angel should also be a Fallen Angel banished by the Celestial Realm, just like me..."

Xu Ruo nodded.

Gabriel was truly one of the Four Great Demon Generals; her reaction was very quick.

Seeing that Gabriel already had a lead, he continued to ask:

"Is there a way to find those Fallen Angels?"

Gabriel's eyes flickered, and after a brief thought, she said:

"There is a way, and... only I can find them!"
