105: Chapter 105 Tang Junlin's Affairs - Part 2
Why would the special ability [Community of Shared Destiny] backlash against humanity?
Just as Chen Aoyun was feeling puzzled, an illusory and ethereal figure descended from the sky.
A bright red battle suit, unforgettable facial features, and an impeccable figure that combined strength and elegance.
This woman in red armor, red boots, and even a red cape and hair hovered directly above Chen Aoyun.
A blast of air erupted with the woman at its center, blowing Chen Aoyun's hair and the hem of his clothes straight back!
The woman looked down on Chen Aoyun from above.
As if reading the doubts in Chen Aoyun's mind, her ethereal voice rang out.
"[Community of Shared Destiny] allows heroic spirits and wonders of different civilizations to be shared and fused with one another.
But there is also a huge problem!
Some civilizations are willing to act as servants to the strong, some are born traitors, and some have an overflowing saintly complex..."
Standing in mid-air, the woman asked Chen Aoyun a question:
"Do you know why, in the Old Era, Gray Maids (Filipino maids) were most favored by employers?"
Chen Aoyun shook his head subconsciously. Before transmigrating, he was just a corporate slave, so how could he know what made Gray Maids so good?
The woman in red asked again,
"If you were a nanny or a servant in the Old Era, no matter how rich your employer was, would you feel inferior? Would you feel like you were born to be a servant?
You wouldn't!
Not only wouldn't you, but no citizen of the Dragon Kingdom would feel they were born inferior. No matter how poor they are, and no matter how much they have to swallow their pride, every Dragon Kingdom citizen has that saying left by their ancestors in their hearts: 'Are kings and nobles born to be so?'
But the Gray Maids would!
They are extremely resigned to their fate.
From the depths of their hearts, they feel they must depend on the strong."
Pausing for a moment, the woman hovering in the air expressed deep helplessness and disdain,
"[Community of Shared Destiny] allows different human civilizations to share and fuse their heroic spirits and wonders.
But after the fusion, it also allowed the deep-seated flaws of different civilizations to spread to humanity as a whole, as well as to the [Heroic Spirits/wonders] that humanity relies on.
Therefore, in this scenario, humanity lost. After their defeat, humanity, as a species, exited the cosmic stage..."
The amount of information was overwhelming. Just as Chen Aoyun fell into deep thought, another wisp of golden light shot out from the bamboo scroll in his hand.
Chen Aoyun's perspective once again returned to the end of the Old Era:
It seemed they had learned from the previous destruction.
This time, there was no [Community of Shared Destiny], but another ability: [Those of a different race must have a different heart]!
Before those traitors and hypocritical do-gooders could throw humanity into chaos, a red-clothed [Strategist] from the Dragon Kingdom stepped in and directly suppressed all forces on the Blue Star!
Yet, the result was still the same—humanity, as a species, was erased from the universe.
Suppressing other civilizations didn't work either!
The more they were suppressed, the easier it was for those traitors and hypocritical do-gooders to be bewitched by higher-dimensional entities.
Especially Sakura Country and the Western nations.
The inherent nature of Sakura Country aligned perfectly with a certain evil world. After being bewitched, Sakura Country's [Heroic Spirits] received the blessing of that evil civilization.
Similarly, those saintly countries in the Western world were also bewitched by Holy Light creatures.
Without the unity of the [Community of Shared Destiny], and in order to prevent internal strife, the Dragon Kingdom took the initiative to make enemies of the other human civilizations.
The human world was thrown into complete chaos right from the very beginning of the star chess game.
This time, humanity did not even make it as far as they had the last time...
Returning to his senses and fearing that the bamboo scroll in his hand would light up a third time, Chen Aoyun quickly called out for a stop,
"Stop, stop, stop. This is way too much information. You have to let me catch my breath."
After pondering for a long while and sorting through everything he had just seen, Chen Aoyun finally looked up at the woman hovering in the sky,
"You couldn't possibly be Tang Junlin, could you?
So, what were those things I just saw?
Predictions of the future?
Or truths that have already happened?
Whether they are predictions of the future or truths that have already happened, they don't align with the reality I'm in. In my reality, there are no [Strategists] from other worlds, and the native Blue Star [Strategists] don't have two sets of skills."
The floating woman admitted that she was indeed the Tang Junlin Chen Aoyun was looking for, and then said,
"It is both real and an illusion!
The scenes you saw did indeed happen in reality, but they were wiped out because the River of Time flowed backward.
The new timeline is another story entirely, but the traces of those scenes still remain..."
It was hard to explain in words, and the bamboo scroll in Chen Aoyun's hand erupted with light for the third time.
This time, Chen Aoyun saw even more, and he was even more shocked after the revolving lantern-like scenes ended.
"Humanity is repeatedly unable to escape the fate of destruction, and time and again, someone reverses time and space to let all of humanity start over, constantly trial-and-erroring!
If I'm not mistaken, that flash of red who reverses time and space is you, right?"
The floating woman shrugged. Her seemingly playful gesture inadvertently set off ripples, as if pulling at the space around her!
The woman said calmly,
"Once humanity was eliminated as a species, left all alone with nothing to do, I could only continuously participate in the Game of National Destiny as a 'Cosmic Wanderer'.
At first, I worked for other civilization groups. When they exploited me too heavily, I just wiped that group out and looked for a new one. Not long after starting, labor disputes would still arise... you know how it is. In short, I kept changing bosses and kept wiping them out. Eventually, I got tired of it and went solo.
Maybe I just have good talent. Every time I restarted the River of Time, even if I couldn't save the Blue Star, I could at least protect myself.
Constant restarts, constant failures... eventually, I got tired again.
So, I simply wiped out the Star Chessboard as well..."
Chen Aoyun's pupils dilated in shock. "You wiped out the Star Chessboard?"
"Relax, that thing is an underlying rule of cosmic evolution. I wiped it out, but not completely. I even managed to steal a sliver of the universe's most fundamental profound truth."
Chen Aoyun said thoughtfully, "You attacked the Star Chessboard... I won't ask how you wiped it out when the Star Chessboard is a rule.
But surely you didn't wipe out the Star Chessboard just to steal a sliver of the rule's profound truth, did you?"
"Why is it that there are no [Strategists] from other worlds in my timeline, and why is the Game of National Destiny I participate in different from the one you showed me, where [Strategists] don't have two sets of skills.
Could it be that the current Game of National Destiny isn't actually the real Game of National Destiny at all, but rather one you created yourself using the stolen profound truth?
Unable to change the outcome despite restarting multiple times, you left the possibilities to future generations!
You created a fake Game of National Destiny. This way, you allowed humanity to come into contact with the Game of National Destiny as early as possible, while avoiding premature contact with higher-dimensional [Strategists].
You let humans play among themselves first, gaming against each other to level themselves up!
Are you using a method akin to raising Gu to find a path for the human race to avoid extinction?"
