180: Chapter 180: Unusable or Equal to Zero

After most of the resource points were occupied, the [Strategists] from various countries successively selected Heroic Spirits from their own Heroic Spirit pools and played their Heroic Spirit Manifestations.

The Heroic Spirit Manifestations were activated by the power of the resource points, and a chaotic battle between the countries began!

They sought out countries with total scores close to their own to fight. If they couldn't kill the [Roleplayer] of the opponent who possessed a Heroic Spirit Manifestation, they would launch sneak attacks on the [Roleplayer] who didn't have one.

Adhering to the philosophy of fighting if they could win and running if they couldn't, the battlefield spread from the vicinity of the resource points all the way to the edge of the fog.

There were Calamity Demons at the edge of the fog. These demons were the mission targets for the third act, and killing them would grant settlement points.

When the Calamity Demons also joined the battle between the countries, the fighting instantly became even more chaotic.

At this moment, the only two countries that had not joined this chaotic battle were Sakura Country and the Dragon Country.

Dragon Country [Roleplayer] Xiao Zhenghong entered the resource point quite late. By the time the chaotic battle had already erupted among the various countries, Xiao Zhenghong had not yet come out of the resource point.

[Roleplayers] who had activated their Heroic Spirit Manifestation could no longer enter any resource points. When the chaotic battle between countries began, Xiao Zhenghong, who was still inside the resource point, was actually safe.

The same situation also applied to Sakura Country.

In order to prevent the Dragon Country from obtaining any resources from the resource points, Sakura Country had only been guarding key roads and not entering the resource points to collect resources.

It wasn't until there were no remaining resource points left on the entire map, and until the USA's madman [Tesla] was on a killing spree, that Saku Kenichi finally let the three [Roleplayers] from Sakura Country enter the last unoccupied resource point.

The speed at which three [Roleplayers] collected resources was naturally much faster than one.

By the time Xiao Zhenghong was just a tiny bit short of collecting all the resources in the 'wonder (modern) resource point', the three [Roleplayers] from Sakura Country had already obtained all the resources in their resource point.

Everyone knew that the main goal of the Sakura people in this Game of National Destiny was to target the Dragon Country, so during the 'ban' phase for Heroic Spirits, no one targeted the Heroic Spirits in Sakura Country's Heroic Spirit pool.

The resource point occupied by the Sakura people was an 'ancient martial arts resource point'. None of the Heroic Spirits in their Heroic Spirit pool had been 'banned', and among them was a Heroic Spirit that was extremely compatible with the resources in this resource point—Heroic Spirit [Sanada Yukimura]!

As long as a Heroic Spirit from the Heroic Spirit pool hadn't appeared, it didn't count as officially participating in the battle, and it wouldn't enter a cooldown period in the next Game of National Destiny.

Seeing that the Sakura people had played [Sanada Yukimura], some knowledgeable viewers were shocked.

"It's [Sanada Yukimura], known as the 'Number One Warrior of Sakura'! The Sakura people actually played the Manifestation of this Heroic Spirit! They really aren't leaving any chance for the Dragon Country! With this Heroic Spirit here, even if the Dragon Country can activate a Heroic Spirit Manifestation, they will definitely not be a match for this Heroic Spirit Manifestation!"

"Is [Sanada Yukimura] very awesome?" a viewer who didn't know Sanada Yukimura asked curiously. " 'Number One Warrior of Sakura'? It sounds like some weak little soldier; why are you all so shocked?"

"What do you know! 'Number One Warrior of Sakura' is a title, and in the context of the Sakura people, this title means 'the strongest person in the world'!"

"What? The strongest in the world? Such an imposing title? Hiss~ Strength corresponds to personal martial power. In that case, the 'ancient martial arts resource point' occupied by the Sakura people is perfectly compatible with this Heroic Spirit!"

"Isn't it! The Heroic Spirit itself is incomparably powerful, and the resources obtained are one hundred percent compatible. Tsk tsk, it's fortunate that the Sakura people aren't aiming for the ranking, but just want to kill the Dragon Country with all their might. Otherwise, with this Heroic Spirit Manifestation of [Sanada Yukimura], they would definitely be a formidable enemy for other countries!"

"Look, look. After activating the Heroic Spirit Manifestation of [Sanada Yukimura], the Sakura people really didn't head to the edge of the fog. The route they are taking is... the 'wonder (modern) resource point' where the Dragon Country [Roleplayer] is located!"

In the area of the board where the fog of war had been lifted, only the 'wonder (modern) resource point' where Xiao Zhenghong was located had not been completely occupied and had not disappeared.

On the board, Kayahara Ao, bearing the Manifestation of [Sanada Yukimura], was like a drawn demon blade, exuding a cold, bone-chilling murderous intent. He did not head to the edge of the fog, but with an unstoppable momentum, step by step... closed in on the resource point where Xiao Zhenghong was located!

Behind him followed the other two Sakura Roleplayers, as well as the "burden" entrusted by the USA.

The speed was not fast, but every step seemed to be treading on the hearts of the Dragon Country supporters!

"Using [Sanada Yukimura] to deal with the Roleplayer Xiao Zhenghong. The resource point that Xiao Zhenghong is currently occupying is, for the Heroic Spirit [Heroic Spirit Zhuge Liang] in the Dragon Country's Heroic Spirit pool, simply a useless resource point! I said that the Dragon Country's 'luring the tiger away from the mountain' strategy was a bad move. Now it's great; in this third act, not only will the Dragon Country end up with nothing like in the previous act, but they will also lose another Roleplayer and have more total points deducted!"

People all over the world thought that the 'wonder (modern) resource point' was a useless resource for [Heroic Spirit Zhuge Liang].

Facing the step-by-step approach of Kayahara Ao, who had the Heroic Spirit Manifestation of [Sanada Yukimura], and facing the provocative gaze of Saku Kenichi outside the board, Xiao Zhenghong happened to have completely occupied the 'wonder (modern) resource point' at this moment.

The light dissipated, and after the resource point was declared completely occupied and disappeared, it also meant that Xiao Zhenghong had lost his protection.

"I thought you would let Xiao Zhenghong hide in the resource point for a while longer. This is very good! In the previous few rounds of the Game of National Destiny, you Dragon Country showed off quite a few powerful Heroic Spirits; it's time to let you witness how powerful my Sakura Country's Heroic Spirits are! It's just a pity that your Dragon Country's Heroic Spirit [Heroic Spirit Zhuge Liang] cannot be activated, so a duel between Heroic Spirit Manifestations will not be seen."

Chen Aoyun suddenly looked up, his eyes as sharp as swords, "Who said that our Dragon Country's Heroic Spirit [Heroic Spirit Zhuge Liang] cannot be activated!"

Chen Aoyun raised an eyebrow and played a piece, and the Manifestation of the Heroic Spirit [Heroic Spirit Zhuge Liang] instantly appeared behind Xiao Zhenghong!

The current [Heroic Spirit Zhuge Liang] Manifestation was still just a display.

Chen Aoyun's movements were tight, his eyes slightly closed, and a wonder of the Dragon Country was being constructed in his mind!

Accompanying Chen Aoyun's actions, on the board, the 'power of the wonder' that Xiao Zhenghong had absorbed in the resource point was rapidly transforming into a 'real' wonder!

This was a huge wonder shaped like a massive Rome column.

The wonder was wrapped in a peculiar luster. Although it was impossible to tell exactly what it was, the aura it exuded was terrifying!

World-destroying!

When this wonder was manifested, the feeling it gave people was the four characters 'world-destroying'!

In the thousands of years of the Game of National Destiny, the world had never seen such a wonder!

Seeing this scene, some viewers in front of the screen exclaimed, "What kind of wonder is this? The aura is so terrifying! Previously, I thought the Sakura people's [Sanada Yukimura] would definitely win, but after seeing this wonder, I suddenly have a feeling that the Sakura people's [Sanada Yukimura] will be instantly killed?"

Someone immediately retorted, "You are overthinking it! No matter what the wonder is that the Dragon Country manifested using the power in the resource point, it doesn't matter! Forgot? If you forgot, look at the Heroic Spirit Manifestation on the Dragon Country Roleplayer yourself. The Dragon Country's Heroic Spirit Manifestation is an ancient Heroic Spirit. Just ask yourself, how can an ancient Heroic Spirit utilize a modern wonder?! Even if the wonder is strong, and even if it has a world-destroying aura, so what? If you can't use it, isn't it still equal to zero!"
