5: Chapter 5: The whole class adored her, but she only glanced at it indifferently.

After Jiang Jinyue sat down, the classroom was silent for a few seconds.

Zhang Ming nudged Tang Luochuan, and the latter leaned in: "What is it?"

"Aren't you going to try?" Zhang Ming raised an eyebrow, signaling Tang Luochuan to go strike up a conversation with Jiang Jinyue.

"Why don't you try?"

"My looks aren't good enough! Do you think she looks like someone we could win over?" Zhang Ming smiled sincerely.

It was true; Jiang Jinyue gave off a feeling that was too cold and distant.

Compared to her, Shen Muyan was like the sun, while she was like the moon...

Tang Luochuan shook his head; he had no interest in this Jiang Jinyue.

There were plenty of women; Shen Muyan was quite nice, and at the very least, she looked approachable.

He had money, but he didn't want to be a rich simp.

"Fellow students!"

A clear, bright voice came from the doorway. Shen Muyan walked into the classroom carrying a stack of documents, still wearing that Prada jacket.

Her gaze swept across the room, lingering on Tang Luochuan for half a second.

"I am Shen Muyan from the sophomore year, and I'm also from the Literature and Art Department of the Student Union. I will be hosting tonight's class meeting."

She placed the documents on the podium and clapped her hands: "First of all, welcome everyone to the Digital Media Technology major! The gender ratio in our major is quite balanced: 28 boys and 26 girls. The chances of getting a partner are very high!"

A burst of laughter rang out from below.

"Next, everyone, let's do a self-introduction! Starting from the first row!"

The first boy to stand up stammered, clearly nervous.

Tang Luochuan didn't listen closely. He was searching for "the most expensive restaurant in Magic City" on his phone, thinking that if it continued to rain tomorrow, he would go and try it out.

"It's your turn!"

Zhou Qi poked him.

Tang Luochuan looked up and found that the eyes of the whole class were focused on him.

Even Jiang Jinyue in front of him turned her head to look at him calmly.

Of course, everyone's gaze wasn't just on his face, but also on this new tri-fold phone of his.

"Um... I'm Tang Luochuan, from Quanshui City!"

"Do you have any hobbies?" Shen Muyan looked at him with a smile.

Tang Luochuan thought about it, but he really didn't have anything he particularly liked, so he said casually: "I like playing ball."

Actually, he didn't like it at all; it was purely to kill time when he was bored.

A very ordinary answer.

Afterward, the others continued to introduce themselves...

A boy wearing a trendy T-shirt stood up, wearing a watch on his wrist that looked quite expensive, and deliberately shook it while speaking: "I'm Chen Hao, a local. My family runs a small business. I usually like playing golf. I'm quite familiar with the course next to our school, so if there's time, I can take everyone to check it out."

After he finished speaking, his eyes glanced at Jiang Jinyue, seemingly unintentionally.

Jiang Jinyue was looking down at her notebook, the tip of her pen moving lightly on the paper, not even raising her head.

The smile on Chen Hao's face froze for a moment, and he sat down sheepishly.

The next boy stood up, wearing a white T-shirt with no visible brand, but the cut was excellent: "Zhao Kai. My hobbies are quite varied. Recently, I've become obsessed with pour-over coffee. I'm used to the La Marzocco machine at home, so I really can't get used to drinking Luckin Coffee outside."

He smiled, "Also, I like to go around the surrounding areas on weekends. There's a homestay in Moganshan that I frequent. I'm familiar with the owner, the environment is okay, but there are a lot of mosquitoes."

After he finished speaking, he looked at Jiang Jinyue, seemingly unintentionally, as if waiting for a follow-up question of "Which homestay?"

Jiang Jinyue raised her eyes, nodded politely, and lowered her head again.

Zhao Kai rubbed his nose and sat down.

The third boy was even more subtle, pushing up his glasses with a scholarly look: "Sun Lei. I usually love reading. Recently, I've been re-reading 'One Hundred Years of Solitude'. For that kind of magical realism by Márquez, you really have to read the original version to get the flavor."

He paused, "I spent two years in a Spanish class in high school. My speaking is okay, but I haven't practiced for too long, so it has deteriorated quite a bit."

After he finished speaking, he looked around, as if waiting for applause.

The classroom was silent for two seconds, then someone asked in a low voice: "So... are you reading the original Spanish text?"

"Ah, yes." Sun Lei pushed up his glasses, "I have a set on the bookshelf at home, with sheepskin covers. It's quite heavy, so it's not convenient to bring to school."

After he finished speaking, he finally looked at Jiang Jinyue, his eyes filled with a look of expectation, as if to say, "You should understand."

This time, Jiang Jinyue didn't even raise her head; she just turned a page of her notes, the paper making a slight rustling sound.

Tang Luochuan was amused watching from the side.

These guys, their levels were higher than one another.

When skiing, they don't mention equipment, only snow quality; when it comes to coffee, they don't talk about price, only about being "used to it"; when reading, they don't talk about collections, only about "the sheepskin cover being quite heavy."

Not a single word mentions money, yet every sentence is all about money.

Yet, Jiang Jinyue seemed to have a built-in shield; no matter how the wind blows from any direction, she remained unmoved.

"It's your turn." Shen Muyan's gaze turned to Jiang Jinyue.

She had noticed this girl early on; her looks were indeed high!

In the whole school, she had never seen anyone who could compare to herself, but now she had truly met her match.

Shen Muyan's gaze just looked over, then inadvertently swept past Tang Luochuan.

All the boys in the class were looking forward to Jiang Jinyue's self-introduction, only this kid was playing on his phone.

Because Tang Luochuan had too many things to buy; he had just placed an order for the latest laptop, and he still needed to top up his favorite online game.

Having bought a car, he was thinking about checking the nearby housing prices to see if there was anything suitable for him to purchase.

"A villa... or a large flat??"

Just as he was thinking, Shen Muyan spoke up to remind him: "Tang Luochuan, don't be distracted~"

Still such a gentle voice.

But many people's hearts were stirred; this senior was quite nice.

It's a pity she is a senior, and who knows if she has a boyfriend!

Ever since she walked in, everyone realized that Shen Muyan's looks were on par with Jiang Jinyue's.

But due to her status as a senior, for the time being, no one dared to act rashly.

"Oh!" Tang Luochuan quickly put his phone away.

When he looked up, he happened to see Jiang Jinyue also turning back to look at him.

"Sorry!" Tang Luochuan apologized calmly.

Jiang Jinyue also responded calmly: "It's okay..."

This was the first sentence she had spoken in the class.

The girl was very composed: "My name is Jiang Jinyue, I'm a local! I live on the Bund!"

The simple words 'The Bund' made the air quiet once again.

Many people knew what this meant. What was the price of houses over there? What kind of floor plans?

"An old western-style house?" Someone couldn't help but ask.

Jiang Jinyue finally wore a faint smile, very slight, but it could be considered a tacit agreement.

Everyone understood in their hearts; so she was a Bund princess. It goes without saying how much an old western-style house costs over there.

Even if the real estate market is in a bad situation, the smallest one would cost 90 million or more.

"That's it?" Shen Muyan was stunned for a moment, not expecting the other party's introduction to be so brief.

"That's it." Jiang Jinyue turned back around, leaving everyone with a cold, aloof back of her head.

Old western-style house? The Bund?

These two words were heard by Tang Luochuan; they sounded expensive! They were suitable for him.

The class meeting ended, and everyone prepared to leave.

The rain outside gradually lessened...

"Jinyue..." Shen Muyan suddenly called out to Jiang Jinyue.

"What is it? Senior?"

"Why are you alone? Where are your roommates?"

"Oh, I... haven't had a chance to meet them yet."

Seeing Jiang Jinyue alone, Shen Muyan felt that maybe the girl was being left out, so she wanted to show some concern.

Jiang Jinyue, on the other hand, noticed the jacket Shen Muyan was wearing and, wanting to make small talk, asked: "Senior, do you like Prada? But this is a men's style, right? It's a bit big."

"Huh? What da? The clothes?"

"Yes..."

"Oh... this isn't mine, this is..." Shen Muyan was a bit embarrassed. She was wearing a junior's clothes; how was she supposed to explain this?

Jiang Jinyue seemed to understand: "Oh, your boyfriend's? His conditions are quite good."

"Why do you say that?"

"This piece of clothing costs over twenty thousand."

What kind of family did Jiang Jinyue come from? She had been exposed to countless luxury goods since she was a child, so naturally, she recognized it at a glance.
