82: Chapter 82 An Unspoken Ambiguity

"Luochuan!!" Shen Muyan's voice suddenly called out.

The girl had already entered the station and waved again.

Tang Luochuan smiled, preparing to respond, but the girl suddenly made a 'One Thousand Years of Death' gesture.

Shen Muyan's lips curled up in a mischievous smirk; she stuck out her tongue and playfully turned to walk toward the platform.

It was like a secret code between the two of them.

Tang Luochuan smiled helplessly and muttered, "You never learn… I'll deal with you when you get back."

Su Wantang saw this scene. Curious, she imitated Shen Muyan and made the same gesture: "What does this mean?"

"Uh… this is…" Tang Luochuan feigned mystery. "It's a secret!!"

It would have been better if he hadn't said anything; his response only piqued Su Wantang's interest further.

But since it was a secret between the couple, she could only swallow her curiosity for now.

However, she made a mental note—once they got closer, she would definitely ask him clearly.

"Let's go," Tang Luochuan said, glancing at the time. "Boarding has started."

"Oh… okay!"

The two walked side by side toward the ticket gate. Su Wantang stole a glance at the boy's profile, then looked down at her own fingers, the corners of her mouth curling up uncontrollably.

Does this count as… getting a little bit closer?

Cabin 3, in the business class carriage.

"What a coincidence!" Su Wantang said again.

Tang Luochuan rolled his eyes. "There's only one business class cabin, how could it not be a coincidence?"

As for their seats, it seemed their luck ended there.

They were in the same row, but not sitting next to each other.

After all, it was National Day. Although the business class cabin wasn't full, it was 70% occupied.

Inside the carriage, there were three seats per row.

Tang Luochuan was at seat 6A by the window, and a middle-aged man was in seat 6B.

Meanwhile, Su Wantang was sitting alone in the other seat, 6C, by the window.

"Hi~" After sitting down, Su Wantang kept waving at Tang Luochuan. She had nothing to do; she just wanted to get the boy's attention.

"Uh…"

Tang Luochuan nodded slightly, then opened his phone to listen to music.

The middle-aged man glanced at the two of them and, seemingly 'understanding' the situation, stood up. "Young man, let me give up my seat for you and your wife! Come on! Miss, let's switch seats!"

Tang Luochuan: "…"

Su Wantang: "…"

The carriage went silent for a few seconds.

"Sir, you've misunderstood."

"Girlfriend?"

"Don't speak so fast, let me explain."

Tang Luochuan was about to explain, but when he saw the expectant look in the girl's eyes, he saw she was already preparing to get up.

Explaining that they were just friends now would be a bit awkward.

Besides, even if they were just friends, sitting together made sense.

"Thanks!" Tang Luochuan sighed.

The middle-aged man smiled calmly, clearly feeling like he was a 'good Samaritan who leaves no name behind.'

Su Wantang also quickly stood up and bowed deeply. "Thank you."

"Oh my, no need to be so polite." This action startled the man; it was his first time seeing someone so excited about switching seats.

Su Wantang grinned, keeping her head down, afraid the man would see her smiling, but she couldn't help it.

She hugged her little bag and sat over.

Just after sitting down, she started rummaging through her bag. "Luochuan, do you want to eat this??"

Her bag was bulging with a pile of snacks. Tang Luochuan didn't stand on ceremony; he took a look, reached out, and grabbed one he liked. He asked casually, "Where are you going to play in Quanshui City? Are you going to the mountains to see the scenery, wandering the old city, or visiting influencer hotspots?"

"Do you have any recommendations?"

"There's a nice place, beautiful scenery, homestays…"

"Is it far from your house?"

"40 kilometers!"

"Then I'm not going."

Tang Luochuan: "…"

The girl sat in her seat, hurriedly organizing her snacks, while her eyes stole glances at him.

Her intentions were becoming a bit obvious.

What was even more ridiculous was that she kept telling herself she didn't like Tang Luochuan.

She just wanted to make a friend!!

"Then what's fun around your place? I'm not familiar with the area, and you're the only contact I have." Su Wantang's voice grew quieter; she wasn't sure how he would respond.

Tang Luochuan spoke in a calm tone. "Near my house? I'm going back to the countryside…"

"Your family is from the countryside?" This actually took the girl by surprise. How could such a wealthy young master come from there?

But then she thought about it—it wasn't a big deal if his ancestral home was in the countryside. Her great-grandfather's generation had also started out in the countryside.

Many people in the city, if you trace back three generations, were farmers.

"Then… is it convenient to take a car? Attractions within 15 kilometers wouldn't be bad…" Su Wantang fell into a dilemma. She didn't want to be too far from him, but she couldn't admit she had followed him here.

She had done it all for Tang Luochuan.

It wasn't that she was shy, but that she couldn't convince herself.

'Do I actually like him? Or not?' Simps love this kind of self-delusion.

"How are things with Gao Mingxuan?" Tang Luochuan asked suddenly.

"Oh! My dad said the news might be true! But he's not sure, so he won't let me associate with him anymore."

"Didn't you like him? Are you okay with that?"

"I'm willing!!!" The girl was eager to explain, her voice suddenly rising quite a bit.

Tang Luochuan quickly made a shushing gesture, telling her to keep her voice down.

A few people nearby looked over; someone had even opened their phone, ready to record.

"Is this a proposal?"

"Can't be, there's no ring?"

"Then why the hell would the girl be willing?"

"Observe! Let's observe a bit more."

Tang Luochuan lowered his voice. "What are you doing?"

Su Wantang felt very wronged. "I meant that I don't like Gao Mingxuan…"

"Really? Can't be. Is it that easy to give up on someone? Then all those years you liked him were for nothing?"

"Tang Luochuan…"

"What?"

Tang Luochuan looked at the girl. She seemed lost in thought, her gaze lowered, staring at the seat opposite her.

Her voice remained very soft. "I saw a sentence online a couple of days ago."

"What sentence?" Tang Luochuan felt like this girl was about to self-delude herself.

Su Wantang, sounding a bit confused, unsure, and a hint of doubt: "The internet says the fastest way to get over a relationship that makes you sad is…"

"Is what? What?"

"To meet someone you like even more!"

Su Wantang turned her head and met the boy's gaze. "Do you think that's really true?"

"*Hiccup~*" Tang Luochuan hiccuped, ruining the atmosphere. "The snacks are good."

"You didn't answer my question."

"You have to find the answer yourself! I can't answer that."

"Then do you think he likes me?"
