482: Chapter 482 Heavenly Sword Child? No, I'm talking about the despicable one.

When Xu Ruyu jumped off the cliff, he had only one thought in his mind—run.

Run as far as possible.

On the cliff behind him, Tian Jianzi's roar was still echoing, the voice filled with killing intent and rage.

Xu Ruyu could feel that terrifying Sword Intent closing in, like an invisible sharp sword piercing straight into his back.

He circulated the Taixu True Qi within his body, stabilized his form in the air, and glided towards the depths of the canyon.

The canyon was very narrow; the stone walls on both sides were almost touching, leaving only a narrow gap in the middle.

The night wind whistled through the canyon, carrying a damp scent and the faint sound of water.

Xu Ruyu's figure weaved through the canyon, dodging left and right, evading the Sword Qi chasing him from behind.

He was still injured; the wound on his chest, deep enough to show bone, was still oozing blood, and the wound on his left arm was throbbing with pain. The blood on his right leg had dried, but every movement caused excruciating pain.

Yet, he dared not stop.

Behind him, Tian Jianzi's figure had already appeared at the edge of the cliff.

He did not hesitate, leaping down. His long sword left its sheath, the runes on the blade lighting up and emitting a blinding white glow.

His speed was much faster than Xu Ruyu's, and the distance between them was rapidly shrinking.

"Xu Ruyu, you cannot escape."

Tian Jianzi's voice echoed in the canyon like a thunderclap.

"You killed Zhao Qian, and I will have you pay with your life. Even if you run to the ends of the earth, I will catch you and tear you to pieces."

Xu Ruyu did not look back; he just gritted his teeth and desperately circulated his Spiritual Qi.

He knew he could not stop.

Once he stopped, it meant death.

The canyon grew deeper and narrower.

The stone walls on both sides were like they had been carved by a blade, smooth as mirrors. Below, it was pitch black, and nothing could be seen, only the roaring sound of water could be heard—that was an underground river.

Xu Ruyu looked at the dark abyss, an ominous premonition welling up in his heart. But he had no choice.

He closed his eyes and leaped into the darkness.

Behind him, Tian Jianzi's sword light drew ever closer.

When Xu Ruyu fell into the underground river, the icy water instantly submerged him.

The water was bone-chillingly cold, making him shiver all over.

He struggled desperately, surfaced, and gasped for air.

The current of the underground river was fast, pushing him downstream.

He drifted with the current, trying hard to stabilize his body and not let himself sink.

Tian Jianzi also fell into the underground river behind him, but his Cultivation was higher, so he stepped directly onto the surface of the water, moving much faster than Xu Ruyu.

"Run, Xu Ruyu. The more you run, the more excited I get. You're just a rat; let's see how long you can run."

Tian Jianzi's voice echoed in the underground river, filled with endless killing intent.

Xu Ruyu gritted his teeth, paddling desperately as he swam towards the exit of the underground river.

He knew that as long as he got out of this underground river, he would have a chance to escape.

The underground river was very long and winding, leading to who knows where.

Xu Ruyu drifted in the water for about an hour before finally seeing a glimmer of light ahead.

That was the exit.

He swam hard, rushed out of the underground river, and landed in a forest.

He ignored his injuries, scrambled up, and ran.

Behind him, Tian Jianzi also rushed out of the underground river and continued the pursuit.

Xu Ruyu sprinted through the forest, passing through dense thickets, crossing hills, and wading through streams.

He didn't know how far he had run, only that he couldn't stop.

Behind him, Tian Jianzi was like a maggot on a tarsal bone, impossible to shake off.

As he ran, Xu Ruyu suddenly noticed something.

His Spiritual Qi had not been consumed much.

He Cultivated the "True Explanation of Taixu Source Energy," which allowed him to absorb energy directly from the air.

Every step he took, every breath he drew, source energy from the air would surge into his body, replenishing his consumption.

Although his wounds were still painful, his stamina was recovering. His breathing became steadier, and his steps grew lighter.

However, Tian Jianzi behind him was different.

Tian Jianzi Cultivated a traditional Cultivation Technique, relying on the Spiritual Qi within his body and the Medicinal Pill he carried with him.

For every step he chased, he had to consume a portion of Spiritual Qi. Although his Cultivation was far superior to Xu Ruyu's, his consumption was also much greater than Xu Ruyu's.

A thought stirred in Xu Ruyu's mind.

He slowed down and looked back.

Tian Jianzi was still chasing, but his expression was no longer as composed as before.

Beads of sweat had seeped onto his forehead, and his breathing was somewhat labored.

He had been chasing Xu Ruyu for an entire night, from the cliff to the canyon, from the canyon to the underground river, and from the underground river to the forest, without ever stopping.

His Spiritual Qi was depleting rapidly, but he dared not stop, because if he stopped, Xu Ruyu would run even further away.

Xu Ruyu smiled. Suddenly, he was no longer in a rush.

He began to consciously control his speed, neither letting Tian Jianzi catch up nor letting him lose track.

He was like a cunning rabbit, running and stopping in front, occasionally looking back at the tiger behind him.

Tian Jianzi was so angry he gnashed his teeth, yet he was helpless.

"Xu Ruyu, run! Why aren't you running? Is your Spiritual Qi about to run out?"

He roared, his voice filled with rage.

Xu Ruyu turned back, smiled, and said: "Senior Tian Jianzi, thanks for your concern. However, I am young and strong, so running a bit is nothing. On the other hand, you, an old slimy bone, have been chasing me all night. Aren't you tired? Do you want to stop and rest? I see your complexion isn't very good; is your Spiritual Qi running low? Do you want to eat some Medicinal Pill?"

Tian Jianzi was so angry his face turned blue.

He had lived for over ten thousand years, and no one had ever dared to call him that.

Tian Jianzi? What kind of bullshit title was that?

"What did you call me?"

He snapped, his voice filled with killing intent.

Xu Ruyu laughed: "Tian Jianzi, of course. What, you don't like it? Then shall I change it? Tian Jianzi, Tian Jianzi, is the 'Jian' from 'slimy person' or the 'Jian' from 'swordsman'? I see you, a dignified Half-step True Immortal old antique, shamelessly chasing me all night without catching up, acting all slimy—calling you Tian Jianzi is quite appropriate."

Tian Jianzi's eyes were almost spitting fire.

He swung the long sword in his hand violently, and a sharp Sword Qi slashed towards Xu Ruyu.

Xu Ruyu was well prepared; he flashed his figure and dodged that Sword Qi.

The Sword Qi struck the tree behind him, and with a "crack," the tree snapped in two and collapsed with a boom.
