369: Chapter 369 I'm the one lying in the Immortal's Tomb

"How could I know?"

Qin Wushang's tone was flat and extremely composed.

"Naturally, a more powerful existence informed me."

"Impossible!"

"Absolutely impossible!"

Guardian One roared violently upon hearing such an answer.

His cloudy eyes erupted with terrifying divine light, locking onto Qin Wushang with a death stare.

"In this world, how could there be an existence more powerful than me! One who has lived longer than me! It is absolutely impossible!"

"Who exactly are you!"

He was a Red Dust Immortal, having long since seen through the extremes of the world.

In his understanding, the laws of heaven and earth did not allow beings surpassing a Red Dust Immortal to appear in the world.

Furthermore, when he attained the Dao, he had traveled the world and peeked into many secrets of heaven and earth.

Where certain existences were, which ones had failed and been completely buried by the years...

He knew all of it!

This kid must be lying!

Qin Wushang gave a light chuckle, unhurried.

"Senior doesn't believe me?"

"Then why don't you tell me, how could I, a Saint not even a hundred years old, know your identity if I didn't have something to rely on?"

"Though Senior is strong, this world is vast, and you are not the only one to have taken that final step."

"In the world's hidden places, countless living fossils are slumbering. Like Senior, they have been dormant since time immemorial and have never emerged."

He naturally wouldn't reveal a single bit of the System's secrets.

Such a vague reply was enough to make Guardian One unable to grasp the truth, making it hard to distinguish fact from fiction.

"Take the academy where I am, for instance; I have seen existences who have ascended to the position of Great Emperor."

"Recently, my third uncle has also stepped onto the path of alternative dao attainment, becoming an alternative Emperor."

Qin Wushang's expression remained calm, each word carrying weight.

"Throughout history, heroes have been like the galaxy, and Prodigies like carp crossing a river."

"There are always Heaven-Defying ones who leap over the Dragon Gate, transforming into Dragons to soar upward, charging straight into the Nine Heavens to catch a glimpse of the realm of eternal immortality."

Once these words were spoken, Guardian One fell silent.

He was imprisoned within the Immortal Tomb, unable to take a single step out for all eternity. He could only vaguely sense the changes in the outside world but could not know everything.

Perhaps there really were those older than him who had not passed away.

For example, the Immortal Tomb...

To this day, he still hadn't managed to figure out what exactly was inside.

Why that eerie Dao would lock him down and imprison him here forever.

"Senior... you have lived for a long time, but that is all—you have just lived for a long time."

"Imprisoned here and deprived of your rightful freedom, there is actually no difference between you and the dead."

Qin Wushang added further, his words still shocking.

The surrounding creatures had all knelt down. Their brains had taken in such words... but they were difficult to digest, causing them to simply shut down.

Guardian One sized him up once more with utmost seriousness.

"You even know about this... something is wrong with you!"

"Who exactly are you?"

He asked the question once again.

"I am... Qin Wushang!"

"You can also call me Supreme Double Pupils, or Innate Sacred Body Dao Embryo."

Qin Wushang smiled faintly.

"No... there is definitely something wrong with you."

"From the moment you entered this place, the Immortal Tomb has shown unusual movements. Your existence is related to the immortal runes!"

Guardian One thought for a moment, and a flash of insight seemed to strike him as he spoke with extreme seriousness.

Qin Wushang: "????"

He looked at him with a face full of question marks.

"The feeling isn't wrong... You, you, you... perhaps it's because of you that I'm imprisoned in this damned place!"

As he spoke, Guardian One's aura suddenly became incredibly violent.

"It's not!"

"Senior! Don't be too ridiculous! Why don't you just say the one lying inside the Immortal Tomb is me!"

Qin Wushang retorted.

This old guy must have gone insane.

Claiming that being imprisoned here was because of him?

"It's possible!"

"It's entirely possible... you actually reminded me... you might be that 'One'..."

"Guardian One, Guardian One... My being imprisoned here is meant to protect you!"

Guardian One spoke with increasing frenzy.

He even clutched his head, trembling incessantly as if he wanted to curl up.

"Uh... Senior, shouldn't the reason you're imprisoned here be because you started a war against the Immortal Tomb?"

Qin Wushang asked.

In the panel displayed by the System, the reason this Mythical Great Emperor was imprisoned...

Was that a large number of eerie creatures had appeared from the Immortal Tomb and were running rampant in the world, so he chose to attack the Immortal Tomb...

This battle lasted for over a hundred years, and he ultimately failed.

The price was being imprisoned in the Immortal Tomb forever.

"War against the Immortal Tomb... Hehehe... right, I am imprisoned here because I was wrong, because I was guilty of attacking this place..."

"What does it have to do with you?"

As he spoke, he calmed down and lowered his hands from his head.

He returned to his original appearance, staring at Qin Wushang once again with his cloudy eyes.

This one look seemed to span across time from ancient to modern.

*Buzz!*

Instantly, under the shroud of a certain power, everyone collapsed, their consciousness sinking.

After a good while, they slowly woke up, looking at their surroundings in confusion.

"What happened?"

"Wasn't I queuing up to enter the Ancient Tower for a drink?"

"Oh my god! What's the situation... wasn't I drinking? Why am I on the ground?"

"Did I drink too much?"

"Eh! Isn't that... Qin Wushang... when did he arrive? Why didn't I see him!"

"Heavens! It's Qin Wushang! That Prodigy actually appeared here..."

Numerous creatures discussed amongst themselves, unable to believe it.

They had forgotten everything that had just happened.

And this was naturally Guardian One's doing.

Guardian One had vanished, and as for when he disappeared, even Qin Wushang hadn't reacted in time.

Qin Wushang, however, remembered everything that had just occurred clearly.

"Erasing all memories with a single thought... is this a Red Dust Immortal?"

"Interesting!"

He murmured softly and looked up.

"Benefactor Qin! What's the situation... weren't we outside? How did we get in all of a sudden... I vaguely feel that an incredibly powerful existence has tampered with our memories!"

"Am I right?"

Dao Man spoke up to ask.

He felt something was very wrong; the position where he appeared was incorrect.

A segment of his memory was missing!

It was highly likely that an extremely terrifying existence had acted to forcibly erase or tamper with them.

"Don't ask what you shouldn't ask."

Qin Wushang was still looking up.

An exquisitely beautiful face from the tower caught his eye, showing him a stunning smile.

"You've come."

She spoke plainly, her voice like the chanting of the Great Dao.

It was Mu Bingyun.

As her voice fell, she had already appeared by Qin Wushang's side and then suddenly lunged into his arms.

A fragrant scent entered his nose, and a soft mass pressed against Qin Wushang's chest, heavily deformed by the pressure.

"Long time no see."

Qin Wushang held her gently and whispered.

"Mhm."

"I missed you."

"I guessed you would come, so I've been waiting for you here without going any deeper."
