116: Vampires?

A pale, handsome face appeared before Feng Yixue. With brown hair and a black-and-red cloak fluttering slowly in the moonlight, he looked like a bat in the night.

"A Vampire?" Feng Yixue's eyes widened, her body trembling.

She had barely been able to accept the existence of martial artists and Ability Userss, but this Vampire completely subverted her understanding of the world.

Even Ling Xian had never told her that such things existed.

"Your blood smells so fragrant; it seems to carry another scent. Become my Blood Servant, and I can ensure your life is spared," the man laughed greedily, revealing two sharp fangs.

Feng Yixue's mind went blank. She somewhat regretted investigating her father's cause of death on her own.

Now look at what happened—even Vampires had shown up.

Whoosh!

The man's bloody claws left a faint scratch on Feng Yixue's neck. A drop of blood slid from his fingertip, and he licked it with his tongue.

"Such sweet blood! No... this isn't your scent. Who is it?" The Vampire man's gaze fell upon Feng Yixue.

Sensing the aura within the blood carefully, he was certain this was not something Feng Yixue should possess.

"It seems there is someone behind you." The Vampire man already had a plan in mind.

He wanted to lure out the person behind her.

He wanted to drain that person's blood dry.

"The game of cat and mouse begins." The Vampire man revealed a wicked smile and his fangs.

Swish!

In the next instant, he had merged into the night and appeared in front of Feng Yixue, who had just run ten meters away.

"Little mouse, let's go." The Vampire man spoke with a demonic voice, his crimson eyes glowing as he and Feng Yixue vanished completely into the dark of night.

A few minutes later.

Ling Xian arrived at the destination with Zhang Xuelan, following the system's navigation marker.

He looked at the totaled car emitting wisps of thick smoke, his expression none too pleasant.

"The scent of blood!" Zhang Xuelan sniffed and murmured under her breath.

Ling Xian's expression changed. He somewhat regretted letting Feng Yixue leave all by herself.

"No, wait, she's still alive."

Seeing the marker still moving on the system screen, Ling Xian's brow relaxed, and the tightness in his heart eased.

"Exactly who is alive?" Zhang Xuelan asked, puzzled.

"Stop talking nonsense," Ling Xian barked coldly. "Use that dog nose of yours to sniff the aura carefully. Who exactly was it?"

"There's the scent of the Blood Race around here." Zhang Xuelan noticed something unusual as she carefully sniffed the air.

"My senior sister and I fought them overseas. This scent—similar to a dead person yet different—is unique to the Blood Race."

Zhang Xuelan's words startled Ling Xian.

"Blood Race? The Blood Hand Alliance?" Ling Xian murmured.

The Blood Hand Alliance was a force cultivated by the Blood Race and was an early-stage antagonist faction for Pluto Qi Xiu.

Logically speaking, they shouldn't have anything to do with Feng Yixue.

"You go back first. I'll look around on my own." His words were laced with a hint of murderous intent.

"Are you... planning to..." Zhang Xuelan hesitated for a moment before asking.

"To kill!" Ling Xian said each word with emphasis, a chill radiating from his eyes.

A night for killing!

...Inside a small villa.

The Vampire man knocked on the door.

A voluptuous and sexy woman opened the door. Under the moonlight, she had jade-like calves, a curvaceous figure, a face full of collagen, and silver hair cascading over her shoulders and chest, even faintly reaching her buttocks.

"What is it, Pierce?" The woman's magnetic voice sounded quite impatient.

"Oh, Ivy, don't be so cold. Look at what I've brought—a fresh, sweet-smelling Dragon Country human who hasn't been turned into a Blood Servant yet." Pierce chuckled, sounding a bit like a sycophant.

"Hmm?" Ivy raised an eyebrow. Instead of joy, she showed displeasure. "Pierce, you're crazy. This is the Dragon Country. If you lure the Martial Arts Association here, we're all finished."

"Ivy, the mere Martial Arts Association can just be killed." Pierce smiled dismissively, his eyes constantly scanning the bright and moving Miss Ivy.

"Hmph, ignorant! If the Martial Arts Association dies, the Dragon Group will be deployed." Ivy snorted coldly, her beautiful eyes as icy as blades.

Pierce's expression changed drastically upon hearing the name 'Dragon Group'.

The Martial Arts Association was like a normal power that relied entirely on crushing others with the sheer number of martial artists.

But the Dragon Group was like the special forces of the military; not a single one of them could be underestimated.

To put it simply, the Martial Arts Association was only active within the borders of the Dragon Country, and overseas powers treated them as just another normal organization.

The Dragon Group was different. It was active globally. Every time they made a move, the underground world would tremble.

If you offended the Martial Arts Association, you could flee the country to hide.

If you offended the Dragon Group, you had better pray for the protection of a Blood Race Duke.

"Oh, Ivy, there was no other way. This girl is Feng Yang's daughter. Our mission is to find the Divine Blood of the Vampire Progenitor." Pierce's explanation was logical, yet helpless.

Ivy shrugged and said, "Come in!"

Upon entering the villa, Ivy caught the scent of the sweet blood and unconsciously licked her lips, revealing two sharp fangs.

"Oh, as expected of a Dragon Country human. The blood is indeed noble. Even a mere ordinary girl is sweeter than those Ability Userss." Ivy praised, her beautiful eyes gleaming.

"Naturally. Otherwise, why would I place her on Miss Ivy's dining table?" Pierce smiled, filled with anticipation.

Although both he and Ivy were S-rank powerhouses,

their bloodlines were two levels apart. His limit was S-rank, whereas Ivy's limit was far more than just S-rank.

This was because he was a Viscount, while Ivy was a Marquis.

He had done his best and wasted a hundred years of time, yet Ivy had reached S-rank just after waking up.

This gap was not something that could be bridged by cultivation. He needed external help; he needed to become Ivy's Blood Servant and become an Earl.

Just as Ivy was preparing to taste the delicacy, her dark red eyes flickered slightly.

"It seems... someone has already discovered us."

Ivy stopped what she was doing and looked out the window, rebuking Pierce, "Look at what you've done."

Pierce's eyes shifted and his nose twitched. The bone-chilling coldness vanished instantly after he sensed the aura of the newcomer.

"It's a Dragon Country martial artist. Perfect, let's see how a Dragon Country martial artist tastes compared to the Light Mages of the Holy Court?" Pierce grinned cruelly.

There were three ways for the Blood Race to upgrade their bloodline.

First, become the Blood Servant of a Vampire whose bloodline is two major ranks higher.

Second, hunt multiple high-level powerhouses for their blood essence and absorb it.

Third, obtain heavenly treasures. For example, the aforementioned Divine Blood of the Vampire Progenitor.

Of course, even if one possessed Divine Blood, various strange methods were required to absorb it.

Otherwise, consuming it directly would cause one's body to explode.

Pierce stared intently at the villa door.

In the next moment, the door was kicked open.

Under the moonlight, a slender figure appeared before the two of them.

Pierce's pupils constricted. His previous arrogance vanished instantly, replaced by a look of terror.

He discovered that the newcomer also seemed to be an S-rank powerhouse.

Yet, he seemed somewhat different from other S-rank powerhouses.
